Bravissimo! Our kitchen and bath renovation was a work of art. We have a historic brownstone home so we wanted to make sure the kitchen and bathroom matched the character of the home yet was modern and functional. We both cook nearly every day, and having something that flowed well and was easy to clean was important. Plus our kitchen had seen better days and I wanted something that looked gorgeous. We were overwhelmed by watching the home shows on TV, and my husband Anthony and I had somewhat different visions. Phil the designer came in and brought it all our wishes together into a cohesive, gorgeous vintage-meets-modern look. He gave us a computerized rendering for our approval which was helpful since its difficult to see in your head how things will look. We had a great team led by Eric who checked in nearly every day with us to make sure we were happy. Gabriel and Juan, the guys who were here for most of the project, were not only very skilled and neat, but also very sweet and a joy to have around the house. Phil was always available by text, and stopped by nearly every day to check that things were meeting his standards. Most projects we saw on tv had budget busting problems and aggravation. Ours wasn't like that because Phil was very thorough with the plan, and if any issues came up, he always had solutions we could handle. When the project was finished, we couldn't believe our eyes. It actually looked even better than the computer rendering! It was everything I asked for - modern functionality, vintage details, great quality, easy to clean, a statement of the combined personalities and visions of my husband and I. Thanksgiving came pretty soon after completion of the renovation, and we felt proud when family members were oo-ing and aah-ing as they touched the gorgeous finishes of sueded cabinets and glossy rich looking quartz, admired the top of the line appliances and sat comfortably around the island while we cooked. TKO completed our kitchen exactly two months ago. Everyday since I marvel at how beautiful it is. My Wife and I have lived in our house for over thirty years and had been seriously planning the kitchen redesign for the past several years. Our house is almost one hundred years old and during this time the thought of gutting our existing kitchen and doing it right became stressful and overwhelming. There were so many details to think about. We had so many contractors come in and give quotes, but we never felt comfortable enough or got a sense that it would be done the way we wanted it. It was incredibly frustrating. Mind you we had a small kitchen that needed someone who could calculate precise measurements to maximize the space. My wife and I kind of knew what we wanted, but we are no experts and not one contractor was able to assist seeing the end result. After some time we had pretty much come to a dead end of what to do, till one day I suggested we check out this kitchen place I had been passing for years in Bay Ridge. We drove to the TKO showroom with no real great expectation. Then we met Phil who turned everything around. Phil it turned out was patient, knowledgeable, understood our anxiety, answered our questions and was able to assist with helping us visualize what we were imagining. After that initial meeting we arranged for a follow-up for Phil to come our house for a free measurement of our space. Within a couple of day we returned to the showroom where he unveiled a 3D computer rendering of our finished kitchen. We were floored. Not only did he provide the wonderful 3D computer rendering he also assured us that TKO as a business had been providing expert contracting work for many years and all the supplies; tile, flooring, countertops, cabinets, cabinet hardware etc., could all be selected at their showroom. Both my wife and I work and really do not have time to run around to different suppliers selecting the items that we would need. We were truly sold on Phil's respect of our ideas, resourcefulness and confidence in the project. We signed on with TKO. Phil project managed our kitchen redesign and was there from day one of demolition till completion. My wife and I are so pleased with our beautiful kitchen. We really can't believe it. Even though we had an idea of what we wanted, Phil's expertise filled in the necessary gaps of what we really needed an made our beautiful kitchen look like a showcase design in a magazine. My comments above stem from now having my new contractor do two other bathrooms, and Reno the 3rd floor, the level of quality ( and lack of leaky plumbing ) has made me re-evaluate the work you had performed. Dealt with Stephanie who is absolutely the best. Did our kitchen which came out absolutely spectacular. What was also great is that she was knowledgeable and gave us overall advise when it came down to design, furniture planning and measurements. Even though we hired TKO to only do our cabinets, they spent time with us and assisted with all of the elements including granite, backsplash, floor design, electric and heating. If you want professionalism and headache free process then TKO is your place. These pictures are from the original kitchen!!! You may be experienced at renovating kitchens and bathrooms but we are clueless. Color of Cabinets and style, appliances, storage, hardware, countertops, back splashes, floor, remove wall, pot filler, kitchen sink and budget. We didn't know where to start, but we were referred to TKO and that's where we met Phil C. I showed him so many pictures of kitchen designs for a galley kitchen. He explained all the reasons why my ideas weren't feasible due to the space (8x14) and I didn't want an open concept since odors travel through the house. He travelled to Westchester, took measurements, and even told us that the previous owners dropped the ceiling in the kitchen. He took the measurements of the appliances and placed every appliance, every cabinets to make our kitchen totally functional. One week later we went to his showroom and had a complete layout in 3D of how our kitchen would look, including measurements of counter space, cabinets (height, length and depth). We went with light gray cabinets, quartz countertop without much veining, glass back splash, new porcelain gray floor and everything flows beautifully. Phil is so patient, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We weren't nervous about asking him questions even though some questions were silly. He always smiled and explained every little thing in detail. Budget? He stuck to it and didn't push us into more expensive items. He was so intuitive as to what we wanted.
