We stopped cooperating when you then asked for more days occupying our driveway and inconveniencing use, and refused to pay for 2 flat tires you caused by not cleaning the numerous nails you left in our driveway and in the street, and to clean out all the roofing debris left in our gutters from when the roof was gu The only one who harrassed anyone was one of your workers when a photo was taken of a fire hydrant being taken apart. People have the right to protect their property from further damage, especially from a company who made it very clear that they do not care and would not make good on damage they knowingly caused. The only "chronic police calls" on this street have been related to your vehicles blocking access to our property, blocking the street and impeding traffic on weekends, and your employees menacing us and trespassing on our property. We have owned this property since the early 70s and have only had issues with your company which apparently thinks it has the right to trample peoples private property. There were many other occasions where we could have and should have called the police. But did not because you're employees are so disgusting we feared retaliation through additional damage to our property. Learn to show respect for people neighboring your projects. Learn to be honest and communicate. Maybe if you did any due diligence and spent anytime at your project sites you would be aware of how your employees act when you're not present.

Okay, the tilers showed up yesterday. They replaced two tiles (My husband had wanted to return the…read moreexcess tiles after the initial installation. I think he's glad he listened to me now.) and did the grouting. The grout that met the counter top to the wall also had started to crumble so they put clear silicone along the seam. I don't understand why that wasn't done when they first did the job. I don't know how a chunk of silicone got on my refrigerator, but I noticed it today and removed it. I thought that was a bit careless, hence three stars instead of four. The tilers need to be more careful. My husband will probably think that's petty of me, but it shouldn't have been there! I will continue to update my review. If I don't have any additional issues, I'll update again and up the stars.

Jose Morquecho and the crew at Nicos General Construction undertook a major renovation of our…read morekitchen and bathroom. Jose approached the project with consummate care and competence. His price was entirely fair relative to other quotes we had received and he honored his quotation to the penny. (The only additions were for a plumber to move a gas line and for two changes we requested after the fact). Jose proved extremely helpful throughout the process, driving us (a car-less household) to Lowe's, Home Depot, and a cabinet/countertop shop, spending at least five hours across two weekends assisting us in selecting materials/designs. Clearly a skilled carpenter, Jose contributed a novel but very effective design for a ductless vent "shelf" affixed to a brick wall--a clever solution for venting a stove set into an old fireplace. Workmanship was excellent throughout, whether carpentry and cabinetry, painting, installation of tiles, fixtures and appliances. Jose and his team worked carefully and skillfully, cleaning up thoroughly at the end of each day. Despite an almost two-week delay in the delivery of cabinets that was beyond his control, the project was completed nine days ahead of deadline. On the final afternoon, Jose and his wife Maria spent half a day's work cleaning/touching up, leaving us with a sparkling and gorgeous new kitchen and bath. This was our first experience with a significant renovation--all in all entirely positive and (as much as it could be) painless. Recommended without reservation.
