This was our first project with Lee and Finest Fix. I sent out a quote request via Yelp Projects and Lee got back to me on the same day with their rate of $95/hr + materials. I inquired on how long the job would take based on pictures I sent over, and he replied "an hour max, and it will probably be a couple screws and glue" Communication was OK overall. Lee contacted me on a Monday and asked for the address, email and phone number and asked about my availability for the remainder of the week. I didn't receive a response to my reply, so I had to follow up the next day. We were able to get the job scheduled for the same Friday and his team came to complete the project utilizing a lockbox we provided. I didn't receive any updates during the job, which probably would have helped the surprise of the invoice I later received that was $232.35 when I was expecting something closer to $100 based on our first conversation. Lee did promptly reply and let me know that they thought they would hit a stud but since there was nothing, the job was more complicated as they had to create the support. I had received several inquiries about a minor job we had and they came with an estimate that was competitive, not the cheapest but more credible. The finished job was better than I had hoped for. The only negative was the final invoice, which was more than double the estimate given. The explanation was less than satisfactory, leading to the less than five stars in this review. I hired finest fix to repair my alleyway door in filter square. They incorrectly measured the margins so when it rained the wood expanded and now won't shut. They refuse to fix it claiming a 30 day warranty. Shoddy work- any proper contractor would leave more margin or at minimum fix their error. read more

They did some work for us a few months ago which was a $1200 job. 6 months later it needs to be completely redone and they refuse to fix it so I need to hire another contractor who will stand by their work product. read more

I received a response within an hour of making the request, and they answered all my questions. Door repair for a damaged door frame on a custom door on a Todor style house built in 1928. Dave was pleasnat and easy to interact with. Then door repair needed really good casrpentry skills. Dave did not disappoint. He did an excellent job rerpairing the door. He also repaired a sstuck door in the kitchen, and that was also excellent. The only issue was the replacement in the iside of the door. It did not adhere as expected. Looking at it, I suspect the surface needed some prep before apllication. I dont think that happened. I am capable of handling that. That said, it was a very good experience, and I would recommend them without hesitation. read more

Update: I found that the tv hadn't been mounted on very securely the first time by Matthew from Finest Fix (a guest I was having over pointed out how the upper bolt is barely hanging on, as the hole made for it is much too large. So the tv is mounted on solely by the lower bolt. He also stated that he wouldn't be surprised if the tv comes off the wall in the near future due to the poor mounting). Hence, I reached out to Finest Fix again and this time spoke with someone named Arkadiy, who offered different days/times that he could come by to fix the problem. He was very accommodating of my availabilities and was also very prompt in coming at the arranged time. Arkadiy removed all the anchors/bolts/screws and also patiently explained what had been done incorrectly, and what he would have done with his experiences (as Matthew was new to join the company). And as he replaced the anchors with new ones, he also took the time to showcase how it works and the benefits before placing it into the wall, which I appreciated since I had no prior knowledge. Additionally, Arkadiy was also apologetic and offered an apology even though he had not been the person who had mounted it the first time. He was very courteous the entire time, and didn't leave before I had a chance to check the finished work. And so while I will still have that gap/hole showing from behind the mount due to the initial incorrect mounting, I am beyond satisfied with the help I received today, and would thus like to update/edit my review from a 2 star to a 4 star. Today was a whole different experience compared to my first initial one. This time, the tv mount looks very incredibly sturdy, and Arkadiy also added that if there is ever a problem that arises, that I can feel free to contact them again. Thank you so much for fixing it.
