We were at Grand Kitchen in January seeking advice about our renovation. Michael gave us a good ideas regarding the design layout and, though they didn't carry the product line we wanted, the advice and help were greatly appreciated. Thanks! read more

My daughter and I engaged John of Grand Kitchen Design to help design and supply the cabinets for a kitchen renovation of her apartment. We had a couple of false starts on the first appointment, bur from that point on, John was incredibly responsive, professional and clear in communications with us. We must have had him develop and tweak the drawings 8+ times before we arrived at the final drawings. He personally came to the site to measure a few times. GKD only supplies stock cabinetry - nothing custom. Their warehouse is in New Jersey. As a result, the cabinets were delivered to us 7 days after we approved the final drawings; as promised and in good condition. One back panel was in the wrong material; the correct panel was delivered the next day. We also needed to modify and order other panels, and John was very accommodating and helpful in arranging that immediately. Other cabinet suppliers we talked to seemed to specialize in expensive custom cabinetry, which we felt was unnecessary for our needs, and the timeframe for delivery was 6 to 8 weeks (from Europe). Heaven knows what would happened if one piece was damaged or incorrect - it could protract the cabinet work by months. Speaking of costs, GKD was very affordable - again, a consideration that mattered greatly to us. The quality of the cabinets was very good, including the soft close features of the drawer and doors. The range of cabinet designs and materials was also very good. We felt we got excellent value for our money, but more than anything else, we got wonderful, personalized service from John. I highly recommend GKD and John. Thank you, thank you, thank you. read more

I've been working with John for what seems like more than a year now. I work in Construction Management so review might be a (positively) biased. We're general believers in "measure twice cut once" mentality (unlike my contractor), so he's always available to talk to me intelligently regarding issues and concerns about the frequent changes that happen during construction, such as my contractor reducing the size of cabinets I may have by overbuilding walls. Their cabinet prices are fair and reasonable and you'll get what you pay for. The stone countertops I think is definitely what sets them apart from other competitors. While the price per slab is generally the same, its the fact that they can do as many cuts as you need/ have is amazing. That is, if you can do a little geometry and you know you have some excess from your slab, you can get a little more for saddles (transition between wood and tile flooring) if you need them. Or say a small shower seat that was cut out from the sink piece. Tipping two delivery guys is sort passé, so if you were really happy with them as I have been - buy their office lunch. read more

Honestly I can't say enough amazing things about Grand Kitchen Design! This is my first apartment so I set high expectations for everything. I purchased the shower door, cabinets and tiles for the kitchen and bathroom all from Grand and absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out! John handled everything from sending someone from his team to measure my kitchen for the cabinets to coordinating deliveries with my contractor. Before choosing Grand for the kitchen cabinets we asked Home Depot for an estimate. They quoted us 3x the price for similar cabinets I bought from John. One night when I went to check on the renovation I noticed a scuff on one of the kitchen cabinet doors. I sent a message to John and he sent a driver to deliver a new piece the next day! John truly surpassed excellent customer service and that is extremely rare to find. read more

I went to a few other places and I was dreading redoing my kitchen. One place just completely ignored my questions while the employees were stuck behind a computer screen. Another place was dark and didn't have any put together units to get an idea of how things would look like. It wasn't until my mom's friend recommended this place that we almost gave up. If it wasn't for these folks I wouldn't have gotten my kitchen done. Their service is top notch A+++. The first day Mrs. Chiu and John walked us through the process and even spent over 2 hours just taking our measurements and inputting it into their application. This allowed us to visualize in 2D and 3D different options ranging from different placements of the stove, dishwasher, angles, cabinet heights and layouts allowing us to truly envision what the final state would be. They were extremely helpful in helping us pick different patterns, colors, styles and giving very great advice. We ended up getting the cabinets, floor tiles, back splash tiles, handles, moldings and quartz table here. They came to our house a few times working with the contractor directly to ensure things will go smoothly. Even when it didn't they always stepped in to help. They are always patient and friendly and willing to pick up the phone to discuss anytime or in person. I **highly** recommend these folks if you are looking to do a small or complete kitchen remodel. My thanks to the entire Grand Kitchen team! :) PS: I would be careful with the other negative reviews as Grand Kitchen does *NOT* do installation of the cabinets they sell. They can recommend a contractor so any install issues or negative reviews should be attributed to the subcontractor and not Grand Kitchen. The only exception is the installation of the countertops since it is very important to have exact measurements when you have only one chance to cut into very expensive quartz/granite. read more

We had a fantastic experience doing our kitchen and bathroom countertop with Grand Kitchen. Don't be fooled by the modest look of their shop - they deliver the best product, service, and workmanship with professionalism and at a very competitive price. We worked with John throughout the process and couldn't be happier. John helped us select a whole slab of quartz and offers us valuable design ideas - he even sent us pictures of his own kitchen! He pointed us to the quartz manufacturer's warehouses so that we can have a better idea of how the whole slab would look like in addition to the samples. Knowing that one side of our kitchen counter runs 3 inches beyond the normal 120" of a slab, John called the manufacturer and got us a slab that fits perfectly, so that we didn't have to have unnecessary joints. The team is extremely efficient and everything was cut within a couple of days. Delivery and installation went very smoothly, the joint was perfectly done, and the team handled everything with great care and a lot of effort as we live in a building with a tiny elevator. John also went above and beyond and provided us with stones perfectly cut for our shower niche, window sill and saddles. Grand kitchen is one of the best vendors we worked with throughout our renovation. They helped eliminate so much of my stress and made the process easy like a breeze. They will be my go-to stone fabricator from now on. I would highly recommend Grand Kitchen and John! read more

We ordered a counter top from Grand Kitchen, it was very hard to decide which one to get, and Mike, our salesperson was very, very helpful and friendly. He was patient and extremely knowledgeable. He calmly got us all kinds of prices, did a lot of measuring and calculating and in the end we got what we were looking for. They were very quick to cut the stone, we had a weird angle and they made perfect. The delivery time for set for 10:00am the following week, and guess what? The installers arrived at PRECISELY 10:00am. These two guys carried the massively heavy granite counter top in and installed the sink, glued and caulked, cleaned, and polished, and even drilled an additional hole at the last minute and cleaned again within 40 minutes. Awesome, I couldn't ask for better service. I will recommend this place to anyone who is in the market for a counter top!!! read more

was having my kitchen redone with this company. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! While their prices are fair, they were RUDE and REFUSED to compromise. They did not stick to their design and messed up 2 of my cabinets. When I called to complain they wanted me to pay for it. A job that should have taken 1 day was dragged out for over 3 weeks. There were times that no one showed up despite promising that they would finish. Other times they had "issues" with their warehouse or forgot supplies to do the job. To be fair, the workers were nice, however the owner has no customer service skills. Each conversation they demanded money ( note: they were given a deposit to begin the work). Do yourself a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE; will save you much time and energy. read more

Stopped by Grand Kitchen on 3rd Avenue today while shopping around for our new home rour kitchen and bathrooms. Very rude people who refused to hand us a written estimate. I instantly decided to walk out because I felt uncomfortable dealing with them. read more

My favorite place. . Reasonable prices. Great customer service. The nicest people in the industry

Over the course of weeks, we worked with John at Grand on our kitchen redesign. We have a massive kitchen which made choosing the appropriate configuration very difficult as there were a lot of options. John was patient with us and provided really good suggestions along the way. Our cabinets, although they took longer to be delivered than I would have liked, are terrific. They quality is easily apparent and have held up well for the last 6 months. We also had our quartz counters supplied by Grand. We picked out samples of what we liked, and John was able to recommend a less expensive, nearly identical product. We are very happy with the result and would recommend them for your kitchen needs. read more

I am very happy to leave this review. We went to many kitchen distributors before deciding to order from Grand. The best experience was working along with "John". He was so helpful and so easy to work with. He answered all our questions, was extremely helpful, and did not rush us at all. What a remarkable difference it was walking into this place compared to the others! We received our cabinets very quickly and they were all perfect. I highly recommend asking for John, he was the best and easiest person to work with. It was such a stressful time trying to make all the right decisions and he guided us through very well and he was very patient. read more
