We live in a 100-year-old Harlem townhouse, so nothing is square--but the crew took their time with the template and made sure everything fit perfectly. On install day, it was like watching a knife go through butter--smooth and seamless! Counter tops were the last (big) piece of my new kitchen. After being jilted by a few people my dad referred me to Super Stone. I had a great experience with everyone from Super Stone. They were beyond responsive to all my questions, called to check in with me, and pulled out samples of everything that fit what I was looking for. I picked my stone on Thursday, they came to template on Saturday and then install was the following Monday. Super Stone has tons of stone for you to chose from and I found their pricing to be very competitive. I ended up selecting quartz. The man took a look at it and said I would have to go to pick the slab in Long Island and even without taking any measurement information from me, he quoted a very high price. These guys are fantastic! I had a run in with a shady contractor before we found Peter and his team, and it was a pleasure to deal with reliable, honest, professionals for a change. We had time constraints and they were amazingly helpful, one piece had to be recut and they managed to get it back to us and install it same-day. Ordered a Corian kitchen countertop from Super Stone last year, because my friend knew the manager. Let's just say Super Stone was far from super. First, they mis-measured the backsplash, and had to come back a second time. I could deal with that, but what annoys the crap out of me EVERYDAY is that there is a horrible "blemish" smack in the middle of my countertop. This started from a superficial but long scratch they made when installing the countertop. When I pointed it out, they said, "No problem. We can sand it out." They sanded it out, which then became a huge dull spot. When I complained about it, they said "No problem. That's the way it's supposed to be," and put some polish on it. It helped the problem somewhat, but a few months later, after the polish rubbed off, I'm still stuck with a huge dull spot. It's not like a countertop is disposable, especially after it's glued onto your cabinets! A visiting relative commented: "Was this countertop second quality? You must've got a good deal." THE HORROR, especially since the homey-discount wasn't even that good... Stay far far away from Super Stone because they have no clue as to what they're doing. read more

Jeff, the manager of Super Stone, is a rock star. Sweetest, easiest going, most professional, coolest, best dressed, best looking stone guy ever. He gave me a great price on beautiful quartz and the estimated and executed turnaround time was so quick compared with the big box stores and three competitors according to the forums (including two places in Jersey which can usually undercut the NY competition because of lower overhead). I specifically went to Jeff based on a recommendation from my awesome contractor who has done numerous apartments in my building. Consequently, I was able to see beautifully installed quartz and granite countertops from Super Stone in three of my neighbors' apartments before I made my decision but ultimately it was based on the beautiful marble-like quartz he carried from a variety of reputable companies (like Caesarstone and Quartz Masters, etc.) competitive price, and Jeff's awesome personality (he was never pushy and showed me really nice slabs specific to my requests, was always lovely and helpful when I called after visiting). I also liked that I could buy my stone from the same entity that was fabricating (not so everywhere). If you are planning to go to a big box store like Home Depot or another regional fabricator/stone seller, I HIGHLY recommend you visit Super Stone and see if Jeff can hook you up. Anyway, I'm pretty sure they do fabrication for the big box stores so it's not like you won't have the same quality of workmanship, and they stand behind it: when i was debating my choices, my contractor said on the one occasion where there was a fabrication issue, Jeff stood behind the work and took care of the problem immediately; this gave me a lot of confidence giving him a deposit. He's so obviously a stand-up guy. The templator (Dave) was also a great guy: friendly, punctual, smart, experienced (over a decade in the profession), precise, informative. The guys who installed (Jose and two other guys who were lovely people) were just consummate professionals also and they did an incredible, custom job! True artisans. The stone fits perfectly, the sink cut-out was templated and cut masterfully, I can't notice a single scratch or chip (and I was led to expect some small imperfections in the finished countertop on the online renovation forums and blogs, but there just were none). My stone has become my favorite part of my kitchen and I highly recommend Quartz, it's so durable! I love Yelp (regardless of the hilarious South Park episode) when it allows me to turn people on to local businesses of this quality. One other note, the manager who another Yelper eviscerated in his review, doesn't work at Super Stone any longer (according to one of the installers). Despite the loads of negative reviews here, Jeff convinced me that it was a small sample of their work. Everything started off well, price was good, slab selection was simple, measurements went fairly smooth. Then comes the nightmare, on the day of installation, the installers manage to break a corner while installing. Obviously, I was not willing to accept the product at this point. They offered to repair it, unacceptable. They were unwilling to replace, thoroughly explained to me by Jeff that they would be operating at a loss if so. Disregarding me, the customer that paid full price for a new and preferably not broken counter. I told Jeff I would be echoing the other negative reviews here on Yelp and his tone changed from the usual friendly to a very stark serious tone. At the end he offered to repair it and $100 stipend (bribe) to not post a negative review and to post a positive one. This really shines a light on all the positive reviews for this company, were they bought by Jeff? I mean there's a review that says, "Jeff, the manager of Super Stone, is a rock star. Super Stone - Day1 of installation - Kitchen & Bath Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Needed a simple 16x30" stone vanity top. Superstone was close by, and Steven, the manager, sounded encouraging when he said that if we picked an in-stock stone we could have the top "instantaneously". It was promised for the middle of the next week. The middle came, and I called. He had no recollection of his promise, and we were put off for another week. Installation day arrived. The workmen came (late) and began hacking away at the inside of the vanity in order to make the sink fit. "That's strange", said my husband, "when they measured the vanity the sink fit perfectly" We went to take a look, and they had cut the stone for and were trying to install a sink that belonged to someone else. Once this was established, and it took some convincing, the workmen decided to clean up. That meant turning on their ShopVac and expelling its contents into the air, setting off the fire alarm and covering the house with dust. Then they gathered their things and left. Needless to say, we asked for a refund and our own sink back. They complied, and now we will start again. read more

These guys are great! By far the best price around (that I could find), and super fast. I ordered my Carrara marble countertop from them on a Monday - they had come, measured, had me check the piece they were going to cut, cut it, polished it, and had in it my house by the following Monday. The stone is beautiful, and the seam that was necessary for my corner cabinet is perfect - hardly noticeable. They were careful to only use the same slab for my various pieces so it all matches perfectly. I took off one star because some of the measurements were a tiny bit off, leaving me with a few corners that are not quite right - barely noticeable but slightly annoying. Regardless of that, I recommend them strongly. read more

I ordered a ceasarstone counter top for my kitchen and bathroom vanity cabinet from Galactic tiles. Apparently Super Stone is their subcontractor / fabricator for countertops. Super Stone came and installed. When they left, I looked more carefully and noticed a chipped edge along the on the inside of the bathroom counter where it meets the sink. And subsequently I also noticed a long scratch on the surface of the counter with a cracked edge on the side of the kitchen counter. They came to repair the chipped edge first. They filled the chip with silicone that did not perfectly match. When they finished they did not properly dispose of the silicone and got it all over my stove (which was next to the trash bin). The silicone dried over my stove and was pretty hard to remove. As for the Kitchen counter scratch, they didn't do much for it but clean it with acetone and gave me an excuse that they couldn't buff it down because it will further crack. The scratch is still visible. For a counter that cost me $2,500 this is not the kind of quality and professional worksmanship i expected. There should have been some kind of quality control before it was sent to me for installation or the installers should have done a more professional job to not mess up the stone while installing. read more
