A trip to Alpha Pizza is like going back in time to the 1970's! Posters advertising an Elvis impersonator on Thursday nights adorn wood panel walls. Mozzarella is liberally baked into the meals. Pizza is good. Greek specialties are better. The baked Italian dinners are best avoided. The dinner crowd sometimes looks like they just left a Trump rally. Enjoy Elvis, a Greek salad, and the best people watching in town. read more

We had planned to have dinner here at Alpha so we ordered drinks and appetizer - mushrooms. The mushrooms were still frozen inside. So we returned them. They brought them back overcooked (hard as a rock). We didn't eat them. Told server were not going to chance eating dinner and got the check. Had to pay $9 for crap appetizer. Won't go back. read more

We get Alpha carry out quite often. The pizza is the best around. The staff is always friendly and food is ready in no time. Definitely recommend. read more

So the food here is acceptable for "local everything" sort of place. But I've been doing takeout orders lately, and they always screw it up. Either it'll be the wrong thing, or the wrong price, even after I've clarified on the phone the exact menu item I'm trying to buy. But this last time did it for me. I went to the counter to pick up some food, got greeted by the cashier, and then three(!!) people cut in front of me. The cashier didn't say anything to them. Not a thing. And then they got my order wrong! Ugh. read more

This restaurant is such a hidden gem. Amazing pasta and pizza and lots of it. The servers are the sweetest people too. It really feels like a neighborhood restaurant where the staff actually knows and cares about you. Even when they're busy and packed they're still calm, nice, and collected. I loved the stuffed shells. Im getting hungry just thinking about them. Good amount of meat, sauce, and cheese. It sounds simple but honestly not many Italian restaurants do this right. This is my go to Italian restaurant. read more

Always have a great experience at Alpha But don't go, it's getting too busy Enough said Going there tonight. Hopefully we can get in Big space so hopeful read more

This is literally the closest restaurant to my house. It is Greek owned and very well managed by a gentleman named Nick. He is a very hard worker and his staff also do a very good job taking care of their patrons. They have a very extensive menu with lots of items Greek Italian American etc. Susie is the best daytime server. Robbie is also good. On Tuesday and Thursday nights lookout! They always have something special planned like an Elvis impersonator her or something cool. Parking is a nightmare on Tuesday and Thursday but they will allow you to park in the grass if you need to. It is very kid friendly on one side and then a bar/lounge on the other side. read more

Good food, very friendly, reasonable prices. Food won't blow your mind but is consistently good, with a large diverse menu.

Not only did we find mold in our potato salad but lady at the establishment was rude, when we went back to give them their food and get our money back I was grossed out about how bad it looked in there. Never ever ever again!!! I don't know how this place isn't shit down! This mold was was big as my thumb! All around terrible experience! read more

this hurts to write because the Pizza is fantastic and we have been desperately searching for a good dine in restaurant for a few years. Dine-in experience was awful - we sat at the bar and ordered prime rib with a pizza to go. for some reason, the prime rib is served smothered in Worcestershire with apparently no option to have it served without. my mother didn't finish all of her prime rib (she was going to take it home and make a sandwich because the Worcestershire was overpowering). after asking if we needed a box (which my mom said yes), the bartender came back 20 minutes later and proceeded to throw all of our remaining food in the garbage, at which time we reminded him that we had actually asked for a box. all of this is understandable - but then the bartender's attitude took the cake. he acted like we were totally putting him out. not sure if he assumed we were visitors or something (have lived here for 5 years) but we certainly will not be going back. for what it's worth, the pizza is good so takeout is still viable. read more

If you like frozen sea food, this is the place to go. The fried shrimp, clams and scallops are all frozen and tasteless. Be sure to ask ahead of time if any of the food you order is fresh. In fact, I asked if I could get the scallops grilled instead of deep fried and you know what the answer was. No, because it comes already frozen and breaded. read more

It looks the same as it did 40 years ago when I first moved to Apollo Beach. Basic italian food. The bar gets hopping at night and it's professional level Karaoke on Friday nights---get there early if you want to sing. read more

The best!! We love everything on the menu and the service is superb! We love the sun special! 2 subs 2 flies $22 and everything is fresh! Best pizza too! read more

I'll start good and work towards the bad. The Hot wings and Fries are amazing, but the pizza and chicken tenders are absolutely disgusting. The pizza taste like cheap dollar store frozen pizza, while the chicken tenders taste like frozen fish fried in grease. The order taker on the phone was very rude and trying to hang up before I placed the full order. If I every dare go back it'll only be for Hot Wings. Fix your customer service and recipes! read more

Awesome place to eat and drink in AB! The food is great. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable too. Just moved here and already this is our "go to" place. read more

Not good? More like deplorable! The table was filthy and waitress got miffed when asked to clean tabletop. The tomato sauce on the entry was served BOILING clearly microwaved. Could only eat one bite. When the bill arrived the total was too high. ONLY at that point was advised there is $4 cover charge during entertainment. When seated in dining room, there was no entertainment. When ordered still no entertainment. The entertainment did not start til presented with the bill. I have lived here 7 years; was always told don't go Alpha House lousy. Now I know first hand why this place is awful. read more

Tito the DJ is a lot of fun. Being an emcee , he will get you going on dancing and singing. No matter what level of voice you have, everything here is for fun! Been here twice while in town to visit my parents. Overall a good experience as I enjoyed the pizza and salads.

The side salad was lacking but the eggplant parm meal was everything I'd been missing. I look forward to going again when I need an Italian fix read more

Nice place to have lunch. They have a pizza buffet daily for lunch. And also offer Greek food on their menu. I have had several dishes and all have been tasty. They have a large bar and karaoke area for late night people. The buffet pizza was decent, and tested fine, not the best, but not the worst, ha, and it was only like $7. This is a family owned and operated business, and they do a very good job at it. read more

This place is great. Looks like a 70's dive bar inside but it's clean and the food is very good. The prices are great and the pizza and salad buffet is a no-brainer. Sue, who has worked there for 34 years is a total sweetheart. She's as chipper as a first-day employee. Very attentive and super nice. Definitely give it a try if your in Apollo Beach. read more

My family was looking to eat out on a Friday night where we could enjoy a nice meal plus be able to talk to one another. Italian cuisine was agreed on. We had only eaten at Alpha once prior to today's visit. We were very pleased that we came today. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff. Our server was engaging, funny & very attentative. The appetizers were excellant. A generous amount of stuffed grapes leaves smothered under 2 large slices of feta accompanied by a nice amount of kalamata olives. The loaded chips were house made potato chips smothered in jalapeño with drizzled cheese. 2 of our party ordered the spaghetti w/sausage & both were quite pleased. I ordered the lasagna & also was very satisfied. This is not fancy dining. Its a mom & pop local restaurant that has good meals at very reasonable prices. The outdated decor makes it more fun. The adjoining room had karaoke & we enjoyed hearing some really off pitch singing. I was hoping for an Elvis sighting. We had a very enjoyable night out & will be back again. read more

Gross! We ate at Alpha Pizza House last night for a family dinner. We were very unimpressed with the restaraunt... very outdated and not a nice place. Bathrooms are bad. Food was good... no complaints - spaghetti and pizza were very good, but ran out of prime rib and lasagna around 7pm... The worst part of the night? A large cockroach crawled across someone's in our groups foot towards the end and created quite a scene. An employee came over to clean it up after I stepped on it. Was told that's normal in Florida. Overall - just a very unpleasant experience. read more

First time here with a gluten allergy. The staff was very accommodating and made great adjustments. Had a burger, pizza, appetizer, and pie. This is a great hidden gym with an authentic atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was great. Burger was juicy and pizza was great and not greasy. Very good spot. We'll be back. read more

My hubbie and I have lived in the Apollo Beach area since Alpha was one of about 4 places to eat. We appreciate their food and service has always remained consistently good. It's an older building that hasn't been remodeled, but their always friendly staff and food are what keep us coming back. Hubbie and I always share a large Greek salad...they put large chunks of ham and the best tomatoes on top! Then we usually share a pizza. They make them fresh, whatever toppings you like. Thank you Alpha House for always being a friendly place to have a good, inexpensive meal. You're an oldie, but goodie! :) read more

I was in town on business and found this place on yelp. I was impressed by the authentic cuisine and of course the price. I actually went back 2 days in a row. Apparently They have an Elvis impersonator which I didn't get to see but how cool is that?!? The bar next door has music a few nights a week and I just love the hometown feel of this place. The staff is so friendly and you can tell they have been working there forever. At lunch time they have a salad and pizza buffet and I asked for a specific kind of pizza they didn't have out and they made it for me! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town! read more

Pizza is pizza right? NOT. The pizza was one of the best I've eaten. The crust was perfectly risen with just the right amount of sauce beneath our toppings. The cheese was high quality and reached the edges. Delicious is not quite adaquate to describe the explosion of flavors. I also ordered a mini Greek salad. The serving size was plenty for two. Did I mention that we were seated promptly and served warm dinner rolls with SOFT butter packets? The real shock came when paying the bill. I expected to pay much more than we did. Thanks Peter for the excellent food, service, and smile. read more

Went to dinner with relatives and they took us to Alpha. What a fun evening they had a variety of foods on the menu and we all selected Italian. All of the dishes were well prepared, my husband said the best lasagna he had had. They made reservations at 5 p.m. since it was Thursday night in the bar so we could see the entertainment. The bar area is kind of dark and dingy for we couldn't read the menu. Our waitress Kathy was very accommodating we had cocktails salads, dinner and more cocktails. When the entertainment started I never dreamed it would go on till 10 p.m. He sang a selection of oldies from the sixties to the 80s and then an Elvis impersonator. It was a fun evening lots of dancing and a lot of good laugh. If you haven't been there go on the entertainment nights Tuesday and Thursday. Just a fun different way to spend the evening! We will go back if in the area. read more

Great food and great prices. I especially love the pizza. Only giving 4 because it needs to be updated a little. Too much brown.

We have patronized Alpha House Pizza for 17 years. Small groups of six up to large groups of 12 or more. Today six of us went there for the prime rib special starting at 5pm. It is a advertised special for Sunday's They advertise on their menu and on a blackboard at entrance along with other specials. Never ever had a problem getting this special until today August 8, 2021. Upon trying to order this special the curt waitress asked us if we had reserved it ahead of time. She impactically told us we could not have the prime rib and it has always been required to reserve ahead. Questioning that having never had to do that she rudely told us she had worked there for 38 years and it always was that way. Being disappointed she went on to tell us we didn't know what we were saying. Ended our evening ordering other food and wouldn't let us know about a "new" rule we never ran up against. Food is always good but it may be some time before we go back. read more
