We just moved to Ruskin and I'm searching for a new "go to" pizza place so I tried Marco's. Ordering and paying was a breeze through the online web app and, when I got there, my pizza was ready to go and still hot, etc. It should also be noted that the price was less than most non-big-chain pizza places in this part of Florida. Convenience and price aside, I was disappointed by the actual pizza. I ordered the thin crust and the texture was not right - "biscuity" is the word my wife uses for such crusts. The sauce was too sweet, the cheese sparse and flavorless, and the green peppers and mushrooms seemed like they had been previously frozen and/or canned. To be honest, it felt very much like I was eating a frozen pizza that had somehow been already been made to my specifications. I haven't had the opportunity to go into this particular location but we did order pizza from there last night. We had a large thin ultimate magnifico and a small thin barbecue chicken without cheese. I have pretty good faith ordering from this company as I've had good food no matter what location I've ordered from. For these two pizzas I got to eat the ultimate magnifico and it was truly amazing with a ton of different meat on it. There's two different kinds of pepperoni and two different kinds of sausage on this one and there's a little more kick in the old world style. My companion had the barbecue chicken pizza. This is the first time they've tried this one without cheese as they're not supposed to be eating dairy products at all anymore due to allergies. Well the pizza looks a little strange and transporting it is a little more problematic because there's no cheese holding things in place they were really impressed with the flavors of the pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered in the app which has worked really well for me all along. The delivery time was reasonable and on this occasion it was easier than running out to pick it up. The pizza arrived a few minutes before the estimated time of arrival and the driver was very friendly. I will definitely consider ordering from this location again the next time I am in the area. read more

Marco's is our closest pizza shop.  The  prices are good if you use the specials they keep mailing and emailing.  The pizza is less under cooked than some of the other local options, but it improves  with a little extra cooking once you get it home.   I now find the on-line ordering process to be one of the best things about Marcos. I am able to specify lite cheese once I figured out what to click to bring up the option. Calling in an order has  been problematic, but this Marcos has gotten every order correct since I switched to on-line ordering.  I do not recommend the app, I only find the browser able to show specials. For some reason the ordering system shows your pizza as 'picked up' when it becomes ready. Check your pizza before you leave the store. Often the extra pepper flakes or other things I specified in the order are missing. The cutting always seem uneven, but once they managed to give me a 13 slice pizza. The management will not respond via the Marcos system, only via phone calls. read more

Yes, is a chain store, but it's the best pizza chain store in the area. We've tried all the local places from Ruskin and Apollo Beach and they are all sub-par in both price and quality. This Marco's does it right with consistent food and a decent, if somewhat typical, menu. I order online exclusively, and by the time I make the 15 minute drive, our order is just coming out of the oven. Using the always available coupons, it's cheaper than I can make at home, so it's a great option when we need a quick pizza, or have a larger crowd to feed. The pizza is consistent and the service is outstanding. They're always busy, but they do a great job of pushing out the pizzas quickly. It's pretty much take out our delivery only, but they do have a couple small tables. If you need a quick pizza fix at a decent price, you won't go wrong at Marco's Apollo Beach. read more

We just re-completed the MiraBay 2019 Ephifany pizza challenge The argument after gouging on turkey, prime rib, left over turkey sandwiches, soup, spaghetti .....we needed something else... Time to retry the pizza challenge ....Papa John or Marco's The Challenge: One pie from Marcos and one from PJs...half pepperoni and half sausage / bacon. Blind taste test. I am in the parking lot now. It's 9:40. My wife walks in to order a salad and 2 sandwiches and is told that they will not serve her because they will be closed in 20 minutes. That's gonna cost them more than it was worth. The reviews already aren't stellar. Might need to look into who is carrying the ball on the night shift. read more

One of my favorite pizza shops in the South Shore area. They offer an above average tasting pizza at a decent price. You can get coupons in the mail or even online to use here. The toppings cover the pizza pretty well and the taste is as expected, very tasty, haha. We will eat here again and we are happy to have them in the area. The staff has always been nice and friendly and we are greeted as we enter. Marco's $15 pizza is 5 times better than any $6 pizza. You get what you pay for, lol. So after getting my order incorrect , I was contacted by one of the stores' managers Dylan, he reached out to me via Yelp message and he left clear directions so that when I went back for my next order, my problem resolved on my next visit as a complimentary pizza! So I have to say they have been great on customer service and my pizza came out exactly as I asked hot fresh not skimped on the toppings very satisfied thank you guys for working so hard to correct problems when they do happen. Ok, to be fair I am used to Regina's pizza in Boston & Pepe's pizza in New Haven and Boston. Tried Marcos for the second time and for two times mediocre at best. In fact after trying several local pizzerias, fair is the best I can find. In my home town there are two or three good to excellent pizzerias. There is a good pizza place in St. Pete though. Feel pretty much the same about local Chinese food. Any Chinese restaurant that serves sweet & sour sauce from plastic packets should be closed. read more

Came in to pick up an order. Gave my name and was told it would be a few minutes. 15 minutes later they called a name and I said that was not the order. I gave my name again and phone numbers and then they checked the screen and saw the order there but it was never processed!!! Attention to detail is needed!!!! Waiting more. Well this is a city that has 15 taco trucks, 20 dollar stores, 3 Winn Dixies within 5 miles, and 10 pizza chains . I was skeptical when I saw another a new pizza place open up. I'm glad we tried it though, they nailed it! Very fast delivery too! They loaded the pizza and didn't skimp on topping, the pizza seemed bigger than advertised, that was awesome and thank you :) it was hot after having it delivered, the order was correct and they made my son happy!! This was my first time ordering from Marco's (Apollo Beach). I ordered the 12" Chicken Club sub. It was mediocre at best. Lacked flavor and sparse on fillings. I'm a Toledo native (where Marco's is headquartered), so I've eaten plenty of Marco's from plenty of "stores". I was disappointed. I went in and the young girl at the counter was pleasant. i ordered 10 chicken wings. medium buffalo and ranch dressing. I ate a couple of them and they were awful. They were gross. The sauce and dressing seemed acidic and now that i see someone else had dressing that was warm i think they are not storing their dressing properly and when it gets hot the flavor gets acidic and bad. having only eaten three i asked for my money back. The manager came out and said no. she said because i ate some she could not do a refund. I said well give me a refund for half of it. over half is left. She said no. She offered to cook more but i didn't have time now to wait. I work on the road and had to go. It has been over 20 years since i asked a place to refund for my food but this is the worst place i have ordered food from in 20 years. They are a good teacher and i am a good student. We usually order pizza from westshore, but for whatever reason they couldn't deliver when we called. We gave this place a try and we will continue to order from here over westshore from now on. This pizza is exactly the type of pizza I crave. The thin crust, the delicious sauce, high quality toppings, and the crust flavor. It is so perfect. Best fast serve pizza in Apollo Beach area. Their 3 cheese blend (which they never divulge what it is beyond the obvious mozzarella but think one is the creamy provolone) and Italian sausage is the best around. Did not give 5 stars because if you order well done either on website or over the phone it always comes up the same - medium or slightly under. Also if you order more than 2-3 ingredients they tend to cut back on all which is a bummer. read more
