Ignore the total & complete lack of ambiance here. The bagels are flat out excellent. I got an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese, lox, capers, red onion, & fresh dill. YUM!! I appreciated that the bagel wasn't loaded down with cream cheese. The lox portion was generous. The staff is friendly. Total 10!
Have to say that this place lives up to the hype. This has been on my list for a while and glad I came across one this weekend. We ordered the lox on an everything bagel. The bagel was crisp on the outside with a slight chew which made it feel less dense than typical bagels. They have a simple menu so I can't wait to try the others. What I like about this location is the amount of seating they have. Perfect for a meetup or a break during the day.
I can't stop thinking about this place since my recent visit! The bagels are so delicious, are perfectly crisp and the ingredients are amazing. We got 3 different options and they are all AMAZING. 1. Salmon Lox 2. Tomato - the flaky salt and the olive oil is truly chef's kiss 3. Butter and Jam - highly recommend getting one of these so you have sweet and savory component.
Some of the best bagels I had! Smoked salmon is like ever other salmon lox but it has the right amount of freshness as well from the dill. 8/10 The tomato is surprisingly really good with sweeten tomatoes and oil. A really good combination that isn't too bland and tastes super refreshing. Our order came out really fast even when the line is long. Lots of tables and seating and NYC aesthetic.
The standout for me was the sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese, tomato, and cucumber. The bagel itself was crispy on the outside with chewy texture inside that makes a good bagel memorable. The cucumber added a crunch and balanced everything. The everything bagel with smoked salmon and plain cream cheese was decent. The bagel itself had great texture, but the heavy layer of cream cheese overpowered the smoked salmon. The ginger lemonade was refreshing. The ginger came through nicely without overpowering the drink. /// Bagel with Tomato $7.00 Sesame Bagel Scallion Cream Cheese $1.00 Cucumber $2.00 Bagel with Smoked Salmon $15.00 Everything Bagel Plain Cream Cheese Ginger Lemonade $5.00
I can confidently say this is my favorite bagel in the city. I love the flavor of their sourdough bagels. It really elevates the experience! I've tried everything, and they're all great. My favorite is the tomato bagel with scallion cream cheese. The tomato offers a nice refreshing bite, and when paired with the scallion cream cheese and everything bagel, you get three great flavors culminating together for the perfect bite. This is my favorite location since they have a bunch of indoor seating available and so much space inside, so the line isn't always forcing you to stand outside. Service is great as always and It is the most comfortable Apollo Bagels location with the same great food as every other one!
my first NY bagel and it was awesome!! their bagels are perfectly crisp imo and the lox with a scallion cream cheese was great. i will say it's on the pretty pricey end but it's a nice once in a while treat. probably the best bagel i've ever had if i'm being honest!! they have a good amount of seating and the store is pretty big tbh. they're right next to kijitora if you want to have matcha with your bagel. staff were also pretty friendly!! i'll have to come back if i'm ever in NY again :-)
After spending the afternoon shopping our way through Williamsburg, we found ourselves absolutely famished. We stumbled upon this place totally by accident and were so glad we did! Their tomato bagel was exactly what I needed! It was quick, easy, convenient and absolutely delicious!
I've been making my way down a bagels list for now, but it's definitely been a wonder I haven't had a chance to try Apollo yet! I went to their Greenpoint location and found it to be spacious. Their menu is pretty simplistic. They have the staple bagel and cream cheese options, nothing that stands out. So I got the everything bagel and their scallion cream cheese with salmon. I thought the bagel was decent and I liked the herby/minty taste. I do enjoy the presentation of the bagel, probably the best I've seen so far among bagel places I've tried!
I've tried to go to the Apollo bagel in West Village numerous times, but didn't feel like waiting in a long line. I walked past this location without knowing it was here and there was no wait! I understand the hype. The bagel was doughy and fluffy, and they warmed it up. There was the right amount of cream cheese. For the toppings, it felt like every component was prepared. The salmon was soft and tender. The dill didn't feel like it was picked right off the plant - it was soft and actually edible (you know how you usually pick the dill off bc it scratches your mouth?). Same with the capers. There was some sort of olive oil or lemon that they also put that enhanced the flavor. It all worked like a symphony in my mouth. The inside is spacious and offers lots of seating.
This is probably my favorite bagel in Brooklyn. While I'm not a New York native, I visit here often, and I'm always on the hunt for a great breakfast sandwich and coffee. As far as bagels go, Apollos are elite. They keep it simple and offer three different kinds: Plain, Everything and Sesame. My go-to is the everything bagel with tomatoes and cream cheese. The drizzle of olive oil they add to the top of it with the cracked pepper is so good. I also generally grab a cold brew on tap, and that is equally amazing and strong. They have a good amount of seating inside, but I only take my items to go. Their entire team is friendly, and even when it gets busy, they do an incredible job of placing orders and getting you in and out quickly. I definitely recommend this joint when you're on the hunt for a bagel in New York.
Ik it's literally a bagel with cream cheese and tomato but idk I love it so much and I think it's worth every buck and not making yourself. Theres always a line but it goes by super quick.
Don't come for me, but Apollo Bagel is elite. I went to the Williamsburg location. There was a small line, but it moved fast. I ordered the tomato and cream cheese on an everything bagel and honestly... it slaps!!! The bagel had the perfect crunch-to-soft ratio. Not too dense, not too airy. The heirloom tomato slices were fresh and ripe, finished with an olive oil drizzle and cracked pepper that pulled everything together. Simple and delicious! Obsessed!!
Wow, yum! I got the butter and jam on a plain bagel and it was soo good! The bagel was perfectly toasted and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They were GENEROUS with the jam. I had to scoop a little off, but it was so yummy! The line looks a bit scary, but don't let it scare you off! I got there around 10:30am on a Saturday, and even though the line went all the way to the back of the restaurant, it only took about 10 minutes to get through. I definitely want to go back to try their other flavors! read more
Bagel is good but they are trying hard to elevate it. Not great and overhyped. It's not worth waiting in a long line. The bagel itself is very good. Good crunch and soft inside. The toppings were over done, oil salt and pepper etc read more

So GOOD I visited twice before leaving. Lol These bagels are hands down BOMBBBBB!!!! Crispy outside, chewy inside, only NEW YORK gives you the THICK spread. OH YES!! the bagels are freshly baked & the orange juice is freshly squeezed. Couldn't get any better than that. The lines get LONG, looks like their lox is a very popular choice. But original is always the best! It is pretty loud inside, a lot of conversations happening lol. So if this isn't your vibe, grab the bagel and sit at the park with beautiful views. I will definitely definitely visit again!!! 10/10000 read more
Bagels are my love language and my new BF is Apollo Bagels. Plain bagel (nothing plain about it) toasted with chive cream cheese tomato salt and pepper. Chefs kiss. I could eat this three times a day oh and the OJ is prob the best I've ever had. read more
Loved their lox bagel! Very expensive but it felt so refreshing and their bagel tastes so good! The Williamsburg location is very nice and spacious,I've that they have a lot of seating areas and that neighborhood is very nice to walk around. This is my favoriteeee bagel and my pick for #1 bagel shop in NYC. My usual order is a sesame bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese. Hits every time! The sourdough is so good. Not sure if it's just when I go, but I've never waited in a long line at this location and I go regularly! read more
Service was quick, though the waiting area can get pretty crowded with folks waiting for their orders. The menu is pretty simple, not full of 20 different cream cheeses and doesn't have 10 different types of bagels. The juices are great, I will give them that. The fresh squeezed OJ and the Ginger lemonade were my favorite as I'm not a coffee drinker. Are the bagels good? Yes they are, but also I think they're a bit over hyped. The crispy outer with the fluffy inner is nice, but you have to have them there as they are as enjoyable when they're cold. Overall, I think it's just the currently trendy bagel spot. It's not that hard to find a decent bagel in NYC. read more
Bagel shop -- stopped in around 11 AM on a Thursday morning. It was moderately busy, with most of the tables filled and a steady flow of people coming in to order or pick up their food. The smell when you first walk through the door is incredible -- that fresh-baked bread aroma that instantly makes you hungry. The menu is simple and focused: only three bagel options (plain, sesame, and everything). Honestly, I think that's a good sign -- when a place specializes this much, you know they're aiming to do it right. I went with an everything bagel with cream cheese, and my friend got the smoked salmon on an everything bagel. Both were excellent. The bagels themselves had that perfect sourdough chew, with a crisp outside and soft inside. I'm a huge sourdough fan, so the fact that these are sourdough bagels already had me sold. The cream cheese was fresh and plentiful, and the smoked salmon was high quality, well-portioned, and balanced perfectly with the bagel. I'd absolutely come back here again and plan to make it a regular stop whenever I'm in New York. It feels like the kind of place that will always hit the spot. read more
Everything bagel w/ *vegan* cream cheese & tomato - I wanted to try the vegan cream cheese on this one because I was curious. And it was good! It had the flavor and texture of cream cheese, just a little different, slight yogurty flavor. It was fun to try but there's a $1 upcharge so I think I would stick with normal cream cheese next time. Tomato slices were fresh and flavorful. Everything bagel was the perfect texture and flavors. Everything bagel w/ smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, red onion, dill - This is the one to get! The combination of its parts made for the perfect harmony of flavors. All of the ingredients were extremely fresh. Capers provided some nice acidity to contrast the smoked salmon. Red onion for the extra texture and freshness. The very generous amount of dill really gave the entire bagel a nice pop of fresh dill flavor. Everything bagel was again perfect. Perfectly toasted. I would come here again for this. The space was very airy and spacious on a weekday morning. read more

The actual bagel itself is very good, the texture is quite unique and I love that its all sourdough (you get three options: plain, sesame, everything). They ran out of the salmon so I got the white fish sandwich which was good but I got tired of it by the end and i wished they put more fish on top. It was such a thin layer read more

I love this place and this location so much. If you're a fan of crunchy on the outside bagels, then this is the place for you. Staff is also so kind and it's the only location that doesn't have ridiculously long lines- my favorite place to come to for bagels. read more
I find that most NYC bagels aren't that different from storebought bagels, but these bagels definitely are! They have a spongier and chewier texture, while still being crispy on the outside. The bagel with cream cheese and tomato came with the perfect amount of oil and seasoning on top too. The line here was long, but moved very fast, so it's a good spot for a quick bite. read more
I was skeptical when my friend hyped up the tomato bagel from Apollo Bagels saying it was one of her favorites in Brooklyn. How good could it be? I had to know! I stopped by before work on Wednesday since it was close to the L. Fortunately, there were only a couple people in line and I waited less than 10 minutes for my bagel. BAGEL WITH CREAM CHEESE AND TOMATO - 7 I got this with a sesame bagel and light cream cheese. I couldn't eat it immediately after I got it, and my first bite was actually 30 minutes later. But wow, it was so delicious... yet so simple? It's literally just a sesame bagel (toasted), light layer of plain cream cheese), two tomato slices, and some seasoning. The tomatoes were sweet and very high-quality, which went well with the seasoning they used. The bagel wasn't too thick, but it was still very filling and got me through the entire morning and partially in the afternoon. The tomato bagel was a solid bagel choice and definitely a top 2 out of the recent ones I've had in the past year. It's a simple bagel with flavors that really wowed me. read more
Took one of their everything bagels to go- nothing on it. And went home to dress it up and they were good but nothing to write home about. I went Christmas Eve so no line. The sandwich prices are super expensive and even an everything bagel with nothing was $3ish i believe. The seating is no frills just basics tables and there's a lot of room. Don't taste much different that they are sourdough but i did get the everything bagel, so maybe that's why. read more
Have heard all the hype about this place and finally got to try! The line was outside, but moved fairly quickly. Ordered and got our food in 20-30 mins. Got a sesame bagel with butter and tomato (I don't like cream cheese - sue me), and I loved it. Bagel was perfectly toasted and crispy, tomato was fresh with olive oil / S&P drizzled on it and the butter added some creaminess. read more
The first time I tried apollo bagels was at the east village location, and I didn't understand the hype. It was during the winter time and there wasn't any seating inside. My bagels got cold after a few pictures (that's on me) and it just wasn't that great. The second time was at this location, and it was definitely a lot better. The numerous locations that popped up all over NYC made these bagels more easily available, which means minimal wait time. This location also has an ample amount of seating. We got the white fish salad on an every thing bagel and it was delicious! The flavors from white fish, cucumber and dill = perfection. Time is of the essence when it comes to these! Take a quick pic and enjoy :) read more

Stopped by Apollo Bagels in Williamsburg and there was no line at all, which made for a quick and easy stop. The space is pretty big with plenty of seating, so it's a great spot if you want to hang out and enjoy your bagel there instead of just grabbing it to go. Definitely a solid choice if you're in the neighborhood and craving a fresh bagel. read more
