I had my Apple Watch battery replaced (my watch was a few years old). Although it was fast,…read morecourteous service while waiting and at a good price ($79), one huge negative soured me -- The non-OEM battery installed was poor quality. The charge only lasted half a day which was worse than the old OEM battery that was below 80% capacity. I then went to Apple to try to try to get it replaced with an OEM battery. I was initially relieved that Apple will still service it. However, the usual Apple $99 battery replacement fee only applies to batteries below 80%, even if it's a third-party (after market) battery! Otherwise it will cost $349 at Apple, so I just decided to upgrade my watch to the newest version (Apple Watch 10 as of the time of this writing). It really sucks that iSquad's cheap battery led me to having to get a new Apple Watch sooner than I wanted to (and having to give up the O2sat sensor feature! (No longer available on newer Apple Watches). You get what you pay for!

I left my iPhone on the hood of the car one rainy day and backed up over the phone as it fell into wet ground. My screen was spider web'd beyond hope, yet after sending it to Jerry to repair the phone miraculously came back to life at a fraction of what I would've paid to get a new one or had someone else repair it. Speedy service was a huge plus. The disaster happened Friday, the iPhone was sitting in my mailbox by Monday. I'd recommend Jerry to anybody who needs any help with iPhones, heard he is just as awesome when it comes to other Mac products gone awry. read more

Found out about this jerk because he was spamming the local craigslist with adds. I couldn't even find any other competitors because of this guys spam. Long story short I brought in my broken iPhone 4 and the screen stopped working the next day. The owner Jerry was very rude and I think he takes advantage of women who dont know anything about computers and iPhones. There is another guy down the st who charges less and I have heard good things about him I will try those guys out next time. Overall avoid this dungeon and the trolls who work here. read more

I have been to see Jerry Yeh and "Kaan" several times over the years. Every time I am amazed at how friendly and helpful these guys are. And their prices are Sooooo reasonable. Their customer service and attention to detail? Priceless!!!! Jerry knows Apple products, with the credentials to back him up! If I could give them one star I would. First of all they are extremely expensive and I didn't find out until after the fact being this was the first time I broke my iPad. Also The screen is obviously not an original screen like they claim because it broke after just setting it down on a table. I took it to apple and they said they couldn't help me because someone had replaced the screen and my warranty was now voided. I read some of the other reviews and I am pretty sure they are 90% fake. My girlfriend dropped her new iPhone 4 and the back glass shattered and I searched online for repairs and no one was able to fix it. Came across Jerry's name and gave him a call and was able to get the part for me. A week later he had the part headed over without and appointment and had the phone fixed in 15 minutes! I was referred to APlus through the AT&T store at Carlsbad Mall because my iPhone 5 screen shattered when dropped. I was VERY pleased with the service and it only took them an hour to replace it. The price was reasonable considering its a new model and I had been quoted a higher amount from Apple to replace it (no, its not covered under Apple Care insurance). Their shop is easy to get to and has convenient parking. I highly recommend these guys! read more

Stopped by for the first time last week with an iPad I thought had a bad battery, and we had a number of other Apple products with various issues. My battery problem turned out to be me using the wrong charger, and they were able to give me prices and straightforward timelines for the various fixes. The only reason I'm able to write a review from my phone is because Jerry Yeh, the store owner was able to revive my phone that I recovered from the bottom of a lake. He helped with a logic board repair on an M2 MacBook air, and the laptop is working great. He was also able and willing to try a completely different board repair project I had available that most shops wouldn't even be willing to look at. It's truly a breath of fresh air to work with someone who appreciates electronics and is able to save parts that otherwise tend to end up as e-waste. Considering Apple and other big tech companies only seem to push people to spend as much money as possible replacing full assemblies + endless parts etc (that are all glued together) this is why the right to repair is so important and we 100% need shops like this to exist. After bringing it in, as he investigated, Sheldon explained what could happen inside the phone from water damage, which I appreciate when someone takes the time to teach the customer. He found (luckily) no water damage, and he took the time to further investigate, test out some options, to find potential causes. Cleaned out my charger port, and offered several things to try at home before trying something else. I was told if it still overheated, we could replace the screen (not likely a root cause but the next step if needed) and it was would discounted as I already paid for the other cleaning and gasket replacement. Luckily the issue is fixed and I'm happy he didn't push for the screen replacement if he truly didn't think it was needed!

They explicitly gave me a flat price of $499 for a display replacement. Based entirely on that number, I took the time out of my day to drive down, drop off my machine, and pay a non-refundable $30 diagnostic fee. However, once they had my laptop completely disassembled on their workbench, the price suddenly jumped by $100 to a new quote of $599. When I questioned why the price changed from their written quote, they claimed that the initial $499 price was actually only for a "B-Grade" used screen with scuffs and scratches on the outer casing. If I wanted a normal-looking, flawless screen ("A-Grade"), I had to pay the higher premium. They had my exact model number from the very first text. Withholding information about different "grades" of used parts until a customer's laptop is already taken apart in your shop is a highly deceptive business practice. Had they been transparent upfront that a standard screen replacement would cost $599, I would have opted to go to the Apple Store instead of wasting my time and money here. I paid the $30 fee just to get my laptop put back together and returned to me. Go to Apple or a more transparent shop that honors their initial quotes.
