I truly wish we could leave a negative star review. Kermit said he was fixing our daughters jeep. Then we found out that he did the work and completely trashed the jeep. We asked for his mechanics to look at it again and he said he couldn't tell us who the mechanic was. Then he said he took it to another shop and refused to say where. When our daughter asked to have it looked at again, Kermit became abusive and spit in her car. Then he pushed his hand in her face and poked her in the chest. Mind you, our daughter weighs about 90 lbs, Kermit weighs about 300. He was physically abusive and offers no apology. He stole 1,050$ from her and destroyed her vehicle. Please do not go here. The yelling and screaming towards our daughter was unnecessary and cruel. The police were contacted and are on their way. BEWARE!!! read more

Initial Visit - September 4, 2014: I visited Apex Auto Spa for the first time in September 2014. I had high hopes that by purchasing a hand wash with spray wax that my Toyota Rav4 would shine again. While the car is definitely cleaner, it's not totally clean. I'm going to have to go over it again myself with bug and tar remover as there are still splatters and gooey spots, including bright yellow bug splatters that really show up on my blue car. Upon closer inspection, the wheels are still partially dirty as well. I'd love to hear of other places that do better in the Portland-metro area. Update - September 5, 2014: John of Apex Auto Spa contacted me and offered to redo the wash, so I took him up on it. Upon seeing the car, he agreed that it hadn't been done right the first time and had two people go to work on cleaning it up. Went back again late 2013 to get a clear bra and window tinting for my car. I am really impressed with the quality of the work. I've never had either so was already nervous if I would like it. They suggested I come over and they showed me how they apply the clear bra and how it's much more hidden than other methods and I agree. They also had a car there so I could see how the tinting looked before deciding on the level of tint. They were able to take me to work and pick me up later so that was a big help too. Great customer service and quality work so I highly recommend them. read more

I wanted to get my 2012 Toyota Sequoia detailed to prep it for sale. I called Apex Auto Spa to get details about price, procedure, timing, etc. I spoke with Kermit who was very friendly, explained everything in detail and quoted a great price ($395). I dropped off my car at the agreed upon time, and it took a little longer than expected but that's because they were doing an excellent job. I have three small kids, so my car was pretty dirty inside and out. They cleaned everything (carpets, leather seats, cup holders, cracks, crevices, etc.) top to bottom, inside and out. Wax job was superb, tires and bumpers looked great. I have my cars detailed yearly, so I have a good idea of what I expect from a full detail, and this met all of my expectations. I would highly recommend Apex for window tinting, 3M clear bra, detailing and cosmetic repairs of your car. Apex treating us well, communicated thoroughly explaining the tinting and the paint protection. If you have a small blemish inside or outside of your car they can make it like new. -Inside/outside cleaning is ok -Service is ok. -Wheels cleaning is superficial, because they do not take them off and there is not much you can clean this way. Most detailers do take them off. -Was not told specifically that rims detailing costs extra. Learned only at the check out when the job was done. We were selling one of our cars and had a very interested buyer, but she is allergic to cats. No, our cats don't ride around in the car, but my wife volunteers at a no kill cat shelter once a week, and apparently that was enough for our buyers nose and eyes to go crazy. The sale was predicated on the car getting a "clean stiff test" once we had it detailed. Since my last experience at Apex was so positive, it made sense to give these guys a shot at helping us sell the car. A+ Service! Braley & Graham Dealership (currently GMC of Beaverton) referred me to Apex for the clear mask on my GMC Acadia. When I first bought my car through B&G, I found out that Apex was the original company that put the clear mask on my car. I had a minor accident on the freeway when a construction cone flew/hit my front bumper and luckily it didn't damage the paint but unfortunately it damaged the clear mask; which needed replacement. Dave and John (Owner) provided me a good quote for the damage and scheduled me in right away which the fix was only 2 hours. They are highly professional, reliable, and provide excellent customer service. :) I am thankful I have the clear mask to protect the paint of my car. I work in the forests of the Pacific Northwest and my 4Runner gets dirty. This place was really great. From my first phone call to picking up my car, it was all a pleasant experience. I have twin boys and my car has well... suffered lol it needed a deep clean. They did an excellent job, very thorough inside and out. My one and only tiny criticism would be that the car smelled very strongly of whatever they used to clean the upholstery. Having kiddos I always worry about fumes. I don't know if I would do this thorough (and costly) of a detail again, but if I do I will certainly go back. Merry Christmas to me, thank you so much John and Apex crew! Today l treated my new-to-me, Camry, to their Express Detail with a free clay bar paint service (their December special) and had them apply window tint. The car looks fantastic and it is ready for central Oregon winter. I had arranged to have Enterprise Rent a Car pick me up so l wouldn't have to hang out and expect them to rush. John told me to cancel the rental car, and gave us the shop's Dodge Durango. That was so nice and saved me about $40. Drove home this evening to Bend over a very snowy Mt Hood. I was amazed at how clean they got the car's windshield. When l bought this car in November, there was a film that looked like hard water spots or maybe Armor All overspray right in my line of sight. I tried Invisible Glass (my favorite go to tint-safe window cleaner) but that didn't clean the film off the windshield. Finally, l thought l had good results with 99% isopropyl alcohol. That was until my drive home. The windshield is so clear, I am amazed. Definitely can't wait for summer to return to get the full benefit from the legal darkness tint. The new film they're using cuts way down on UV rays and heat compared to the previous generation of film. Took my 2006 Camry in for a complete in/outside detail. The car hadn't been detailed prior and with years of kids in the back seat spilling their food and drinks as well as adult passengers, I didn't think that a lot of those stains would come out. I was just expecting some of the stains to be removed and a fresher interior. On the outside, I was expecting a bit more with the wax and polish. I was surprised that they offered services to get the "cloudiness" out of my headlights and touch up the paint around the car along with the wax and polish. When I went to pick up my car, I was astonished at how Brand New my car looked. All the stains were gone on the seats and floor, the touch ups on the body of the car was incredible! They even were able to take the rust spot on the truck lid off and touch up the spot with fresh paint. I feel I just bought a new car! After having my Jeep worked by my fabricator for 18 months, grease, grime and oil were all over my interior. Additionally, not sure how but my driver's door had a new gap that allowed water to seep, in addition to an unallocated leak in the passenger's side, caused a musty, moldy odor within the Jeep. What a mess! I called Dave at Apex Auto Spa and he quickly scheduled me to drop of my Jeep this Wednesday. When I returned to pick up my Jeep, I was surprised on how thoroughly clean the interior and exterior of my Jeep became. The seats, carpets and even my oil stained steering wheel looked almost as good as when originally purchased! The stale musty odor in the Jeep, GONE! About a month later we took my wife's new car in for a wash/wax, window tint and clear bra application. They knocked it all out in one day so we were pretty happy about that. Wash/Wax: Pretty standard fare for them. It's nice, smooth and shiny after they rubbed a clay bar over it. Window Tint: We went with the ceramic tint which looks great and it will pay dividends in the summer when it hits the 90s/100s again. Also it has way more visibility when you are looking out of the car, but it still maintains that "privacy" feeling when someone is looking in. Clear Bra: John suggested the clear bra and I'm glad we went with it. We can barely tell it's there, you have to look up close to see where the bra ends on the hood. Fenders, edges and door cups were also done. With a brand new car we'd be very concerned about any kind of rock chips but now we can drive without worrying too much about it (the rocks can always hit the glass, but what you gonna do?). Again, I would not hesitate on bringing a car in for future work. John and his team really care about every vehicle they touch and you can see the quality every time you pick up the keys. read more

After all the positive reviews, I took my car by Apex to get second opinion on some scratches on the painted quarter panel and whether they would come out. John looked over my car and noticed some bumper damage that I had received from an unknown parking gremlin! I had planned on taking this to an auto body shop to be repaired. John assured me that they could easily repair the bumper and for a fraction of the price while at the same time take care of the scratches. I also scheduled a full detailing to take place. I just picked up my car and could not be happier with the work that they have done so far! Due to a scheduling problem and my need of the car, I will be taking it back next week for the full detailing. John and his team were able to completely get rid of the scratches, repair and repaint the bumper, and I am looking forward to enjoying the awesome job when the full detail has been completed next week!
