After moving here from California, my car has had no shelter. I am appalled by the pollen, water stains and sap! My car has always been in a garage and out of elements. I was afraid that none of the weather conditions would be able to be removed. I contacted Apex and he stated he would review my conditions to see if he could be able to remove. Went there to purchase it, record keeping was very sloppy, but more then willing to divert the money thru venmo as soon as possible. Day one thru 4 were things falling apart, and Kermit's answer that's what you get , I'm not returning ur money. Ur not getting your money was his answer for everything. I asked the guy if he could vacuum my car and wipe it down for $50. Its a new Prius. B4 I'd seen my car I paid him the $50 then handed him a $10/tip. I went out to my car and all he did was vacuum. I went back in and asked him kindly "if he'd wash the inside windows" he just said "oh, sorry." It would have taken no more than 5 minutes. Normally it would not have been a big deal but I'm almost 70yrs old and it's hard 4 me to reach anymore. (This AM I thought I'd go back in and give them the opportunity to correct the problem in return I'd take down my review and give them the chance 4 a great review..it only seemed fair right? Well he pretty much told me off.. It was frightening considering how big this guy is & no one else was there. He is definitely a bully & to a women no less. I was in tears by the time I backed out the driveway. I would have been a repeat customer if they'd treated me right. I'm a big supporter of local businesses. But I just can't recommend this place. Will not go back. I dropped my car for detailing. It did have considerable dog hair in it which they did a good job addressing. I was told my car was done Thursday night. I opted to pick it up on Friday morning. Their website reads "Open at 9. At 9:45 no one was there. The company next door helped me out. They tried to wipe of the wax that was left on the car. He didn't remove all of it. I did when I got home. The inside of the windshield was covered with cleaner that wasn't wiped off. It was difficult to see out of. I cleaned it when I got home. I had to hunt for my floor mats which were not in the car, but scattered around the shop. The rear windows were not cleaned. All in all a very disappointing experience from a company that professes to be Excellent at what they do. I would recommend avoiding this place read more

When I called to make an appointment I was told one of his guys would drive me back home after I drop off the car at 9am. When I dropped off the car, Kermit was like sorry all my guys are busy so I had to take an Uber home. I can live with that. I was told the car would be ready by 6pm. It wasn't and I said ok fine I'll pick it up the next day. I can still live with that. When I went to go pick up the car the bill came out to $400. I was like WTF back in chicago where I'm from I can get interior/exterior detail for less than $200. So I thought ok then this car better be in SHOWROOM detail. OH and after serving 6 years in the marine corps couldn't even get a discount. Fine whatever. Driving home I notice streak marks like the inside wasn't wiped down properly so I had to go home and wipe it down again with a cleaner. On top of all this inside of my car smelled so much like sweat so I had to spray it with febreeze. And I took a look inside the engine bay and it looked untouched. Apex is not just the place, it's the ONLY place. Not only did they get me in within a hour but did an excellent job including giving me a discount as well. I brought my Toyota MR2 in to Apex in March 2017 for a complete interior and exterior detail ($325), paint touch-up to chips and scrapes ($45) and a 3M Clear Bra treatment--Premium Shield Elite ($795), a service that cost a total of $1,165.00 Based on stellar Yelp reviews I had high hopes. The owner had a MR2 as well that he was in the process of selling so I figured he might treat mine with some dignity... The interior was barely vacuumed, and contrary to the website's description the engine and bay weren't touched at all. AT ALL. The exterior was buffed with a clay bar which removed all of the previous paint chip repairs on the front of the vehicle. This was fine, because I supplied the touch-up paint and micro-dabber applicators and everything, but the technicians (the owner's sons) only touched up one large scratch on the rear spoiler. POORLY. Like with a roller poorly. About thirty small primer grey spots were ignored elsewhere on the vehicle--especially on the hood. The vehicle's grey defects were then sealed under a plastic clear bra. A blind man could see this. And feel them with his fingertips. The clear bra developed bubbles all over the place almost immediately, not only due to the entrained air from the paint chips but also due to poor application. I have since learned to live with it. Finally, in the single best part of the service, paste wax was applied to the vehicle in such quantity that several washes later I was still removing the excess splooge from gaps between the body panels and from the engine bay vent louvers. My guess is since the business also services boats, the owner's sons used the random orbital buffer they use for the marine trade with a corresponding volume of wax. They were in a hurry, so why not? It really gleamed and photographed beautifully, so overall I just chalk up the overapplication to inexperience. Expensive inexperience. When I took delivery, the owner was in a hurry to go on a holiday. He had left the vehicle outside in the rain and only garaged it for security purposes after hours. The wax fortunately protected it rather well so that wasn't a big deal. When I pointed out a particularly glaring paint defect that his touchup "as best possible" service had missed, he grabbed my touchup brush and globbed some paint on right over the dime-thick wax job, thinking that this would suffice. He took my money and ran. I haven't left a review until now because I wanted to let some of the seething anger subside. At the time when I complained the owner said he would try to fix the problems. I didn't trust him then and I would never trust him under any circumstances--certainly not with my baby. The owner's high rating on Yelp is obviously due to having negative reviews scrubbed, which is against site policy. There is no way that the awful treatment I suffered is an isolated case and everyone else just managed to get stellar service. He owns an expensive business and yet he cannot wield a touch-up brush. He can't even see grey dots the size of a pencil eraser (or larger) on a dark Aquamarine Pearl background. He tried to fob the work off on his kids or other technicians and claim that he didn't see what transpired. It is his business. He should be paying some degree of attention to what goes on under his roof. I am only writing this review to warn others that Apex Automotive/Marine Spa is not a trustworthy business and the owner is dishonest. I am so happy that I got my car back before something even more sinister transpired. Today, the grey spots are still there, preserved under plastic. The bubbles come and go, but otherwise the clear film is intact. Was the work worth $1,165? No. Was the wax job worth it? No. Would I do any of it again for any amount of money? Hell no. I have my own detailing tools now and can do a far better job for less than $20 anytime it isn't raining. You can too. And you should. read more

Don't go anywhere else I had a bumper that was falling off due to backing into a low fence. I took it in at 1:30 and got a call that it was ready by 6. I was able to call and have the owner Kermit book my appointment for a few days later. Drop off was easy. I got interior and exterior detailing done. It took about 1/2 a day. They called me to pick up early evening and they did a beautiful job. I had adhesive material melt in the hot sun on my black leather seats in the back and they were able to remove all of it. The car is spotless like new and the exterior work was incredible. I'm very happy with the results and felt it was also a good value and price point for this amount of work. Satisfied! read more

I had old clear bra on hood and fenders of my Yukon that had aged out and needed to be removed. After 15 minutes I realized it was too big a job for me. The first detail shop basically told me it was too much work and they didn't want to do it. Apex took it on fairly short notice said they needed to keep it overnight. I explained I was leaving on a road trip and needed to pick it up by mid-afternoon. I got a call from Kermit the first day saying it was done if I wanted to pick it up. It was 8:15 at night, those guys are grinders, (when I got there at 8:30 at night, there were still 4 guys working). I saw them all when I dropped the car off at 8am. I was stunned how great it looked, like new. for a price that was better than fair! awesome experience! read more

Curse the neighbor's cedar tree. All summer I parked Gracie on the driveway under the tree only to find a ton of sap spots on it. I procrastinated until now to get rid of the sap. I brought Gracie in first thing in the morning for an exterior detail and an express interior detail and decided to wait while she was all done up in the spa. I was promptly greeted by Blue (the new adorable shop dog) and John. John and his crew made me feel like his shop was my home and was super hospitable, and even offered to pop in a movie in case I was bored. The shop dog and the free WiFi that they provided took care of the boredom. The pesky sap ended up becoming a bit more of a problem than they first anticipated, but they took the time on it and got it all off and returned it to pretty much new. They even told me to take the car in as soon as I see sap on it again and they'll take care of it. They did a "quick interior" detail as well. No complains there either. Speedy is not in their vocabulary... and it should be respected because good looking cars like Gracie takes time people! These are really cool guys that care about the work and you can see definitely see it in the end product. My car looks new now, and I'm a happy car parent now. Photos don't lie. Came here for a $30 hand car wash. I assumed $30 would also buy an interior cleaning, at least a vacuum job but it doesn't. Apparently it's only exterior cleaning with no dressing of the wheels. On a whim called Apex to see about a last minute car detail for my very unglamorous but very loved 2004 Toyota RAV4. Kermit answered and very cheerfully informed me that he could work me in the very next day! He was very upfront about what a detail included and the pricing. I dropped it off at 9AM the next morning insure If it would be worth the quoted price, but by 6PM when I picked my car up: I was honestly speechless. The buff/wax or whatever miracle he did to the paint made my car look so unbelievably improved! Kermit and Jorge actually did a job worth every penny. Every detail, every nook and cranny and crevice- covered. The windows and wheels/tires looked prettier than I had ever seen them. I actually started feeling SAD about saying bye to this car in the near future. They really revived it. They also really made a return customer and fan girl out of me! If there was a six star rating I would give them one. I pretty much have the most extreme case and would be a testament to Apex's quality of work as well as service and pricing. It was about a month ago and I was filling up my two five gallon gas tanks and a one gallon tank for the mower. They were slotted in the back of my wifes 4 Runner and relatively secure, unfortunately I had to take a sharp turn to avoid a car and the smaller tank somehow came loose and tumbled in the back. I double checked all the cans screw caps after I filled them but on the small tank the yellow cover got caught on something and popped off. Anyhow to make a long story short the back flooded with gas and sloshed out of the weather mat and into the flooring as well as the spare seats that tuck under the floorboards. I spend the entire night trying to remedy the situation with no luck. The smell was unbearable. This is also the family car that my two kids ride in all the time and I could not safely let them use the car until it was completely odor free. The next morning I called APEX and brought the car in. The team did an evaluation and said they would have to remove everything from the back, seats, carpeting, the whole nine. It sounded insane and with the strong odor of gasoline I was not sure if it was even possible. They gave me a super fair quote and said that they will not go over $400 no matter what. This is really reassuring seeing as how I had no idea the extent of the spill and they could have literally taken me to the cleaners with regards to pricing if they did excessive work to jack up the price. They took the car in and went right to work, sending me updates throughout the day. It was crazy they removed everything even the seat cushions and seat covers soaked, steam cleaned and everything in between to get the gas removed. Then for two days they ran driers and ionizers or air purifiers to remove the smell. They even removed a golf ball dent in my roof for almost nothing as well as some scratches on the side door panel. When I recieved the car, the smell was gone almost entirely and if you got your nose right up to the seats it was at a 90% detection which is expected. They stated that now that the source was gone the odor would disappear quickly which it did entirely in a week or so. They even came in at $350 for the cleaning! I can not recommend APEX auto spa enough! They did an incredible job and at an incredible price. They were super nice, professional and communicated clearly through the whole process. I arranged for an appointment via Yelp! with ease. The owner was very responsive, almost always replying within hours but at the very longest within a day. Although I think they can squeeze folks in on short notice sometimes, I think they prefer at least 2 weeks heads up. No problem on my part. After of summer of adventures, I had our Highlander deep cleaned and detailed. For what it's worth, I have 2 kids, we go on a lot of road trips, we all eat in the car and we hadn't really had any detailing done, well, ever. The car was disgusting. Oh, and we have a dog that travels with us too. I handed over the keys in the morning and wished them luck. By the evening the car looked brand new! It was incredible. Truly. So much so that a lady at the gas station remarked on how beautiful the car looked...an old Highlander, of all things! I think that says something. We've used other detailing services for other cars but this one was a great experience from first point of contact until finish. We will definitely be coming back. read more

Yeah, so... For Father's Day I told my husband I would get his car cleaned. I had no idea how much it ran to have a car detailed. Gasp! Apex had good reviews so I got a quote and made an appointment. When I got in my husbands car to take it to Apex I was horrified. How on earth does a car get that nasty inside? I apologetically dropped it off so they could do it the next day. The guy told me there would be an extra charge because it was so bad. No surprise there... Just picked it up and they did a really nice job. Only problem is that I now see how disgusting the seats are since shampooing wasn't included in the package I chose. Lesson learned there! I would go here again....and most likely will have to since this car will likely be gross again in the not too distant future. LOL read more

Okay folks, when it comes to my cars if there is one thing I learned from my father its that a quality detailing is extremely important (if you care about your vehicle, which you should in my opinion lol) so with that said, I sought out quotes to get my SUV fully interior/exterior detailed and detailed WELL because lord knows, SUV/Truck detailing is pretty pricey (for obvious reasons, if you disagree you've clearly never fully detailed inside and outside of yours. Lots of manpower and elbow grease involved especially if things get dirtier. ANYWAYS, John won my vote when it came to fair bids/authenticity of his business/quality work so I scheduled him to take my Jeep in. Left my Jeep overnight and the job was done the next day by around 4pm which was awesome. He did as much as he could within the cost parameters (which is also a smart move in this business so I could tell he was a pro for sure....well obviously looking at these reviews and his shop that should come across quickly haha!) My jeep looked 100x better, while it still needs a few things taken care of that were out of the detailing realm, he was able to make it look almost new inside again and remove a lot of the floor stains/scents/tree sap etc. that the previous owner accumulated. When I did the look over at the end he attended to everything I pointed out and asked and even put in the extra effort to fix something up for me that took a little extra which he did not have to do at all but it greatly increased his value as a solid local business owner in the detailing business so THANK YOU John you and your team ROCK. Highly recommend these guys, I already tell my friends/clients they need to see Apex when they're looking for detailers. (Note; take time to understand the work/equipment/product/time that goes into fully detailing cars well. Apex is an awesome company! The employees there do an outstanding job of not only detailing interior and exterior, but also masking (clear bra) cars. Apex installed a mask on one of my cars six years ago. The mask got torn (my bad) and I took it in last week to see what they could do. Rather than charging me for a complete replacement, they were able to remove a portion of the mask and replace it. It cost me 65% less to repair it that way and it looks great. They also did and interior and exterior detail and the paint looks like new. After six years, the mask is still holding well. I purchased a new car last year and had a mask installed by the dealer (mistake). They have already replaced it once due to dirt building up under the edges and it is happening again. If I can get my money back, I am going straight to Apex and have them do it the correct way. read more

When we originally booked the work on our new car through Dave and John last summer it was a real surprise when we showed up and met the new owner Kermit who was just taking over the business. I had finally found Apex after trying 3-4 other places over the years and wasn't very happy at first. After thinking about it a bit we decided to go ahead and have the work done and haven't looked back since. Our car got the works, front end clear bra with gold package CeramicPro and we also had the interior wood and leather treated and some of the windows tinted. Given the high total cost of all this we were justifiably apprehensive but Kermit, Allen, and John did a great job. Our car is a deep blue which makes it more challenging, almost like handling a black car. As with any hand application the ceramic coating did show some high spots and haze and this is where Kermit and team really showed their dedication to customer service and satisfaction. We brought the car back several times for light cleanup to get the coating just right, some minor trimming on the clear bra, and a redo on one window which just didn't quite settle in right. Through the whole process Kermit's clear focus was on addressing our concerns and making sure we were happy with the results. He is truly dedicated to making his customers happy and it shows. We would use him again and will be looking forward to working with him on our cars in the future. read more

Kermit was very kind and accommodating in getting my Prius beautifully detailed. However, as I drove away and turned on the radio, horrible white noise screeches came out of the speakers (which we have always worked perfectly). My audio now doesn't work at all. This has yet to be addressed, and I will update this review if they address and rectify the issue. Otherwise, I'd recommend considering your options when looking at having work done here.. read more

Kermit was straight up about the price, thirty for an exterior wash(SUV) and they did a pretty good job, degreased my wheels n tire ( dealership put the stupid tire shine stuff on ).
