Ape Coffee - Matcha, chai , vanilla latte - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Orange, California

They threw away my drink by accident. Instead of offering a new one for the inconvenience, they said they couldn't give me one and would just give me a discount if I decided I wanted another. Even though they were the ones who threw it away. Not a good first time experience. I also went because I was told the banana cold foam is a nice thick texture and ended up being a liquid texture. read more

This was my first time trying this coffee shop and let me tell you the flavors were really good. I dared to try snow monkey (it was more creamy sweet), was also in love with the orangutan (if you like not creamy) I love the taste more refreshing than the snow monkey. I loved both! The matcha lavender was good to but the signature drinks mentioned above was my top faves. The workers are friendly and has an industrial type vibe. Super chill place to work/study or grab a coffee date! read more

I love this place for matcha because their banana cream tops are so flavorful. I would say the placentia/yorba linda location has better and stronger matcha, but this place's banana cream tastes a lot more like natural banana than heavy whipping cream. Also their service is fantastic. I accidentally ordered a regular latte rather than matcha and they happily remade my drink and let me keep the coffee. I'm sorry to them, but they were wonderful. read more

New coffee shop in Orange. Very cute and photo worthy. I loved the iced matcha and loved the baristas asking me if I was enjoying it or if they could change anything about it. Really made me feel cared for as a guest. They have a convenient self ordering kiosk if it's busy and they have comfy spots with pillows to sit and drink your coffee. Lots of outlets as well. Will definitely be coming back to try their iced coffee! read more

i went there on a weekday afternoon and there were no lines, with plenty of parking! as for the drink, i've had better banana creme matcha, not to mention that it didn't feel worth the price as my cup wasn't even filled all the way and costs the same as a pastry. there was no taste of the banana creme after the first sips and then it just tasted mainly like honey, you couldn't really get a good taste of the matcha. it was fun to try once but probably won't be back again anytime soon. read more

Ape Coffee - incredible ape matcha - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Orange, California

This was my first time visiting Ape Coffee. I usually get my car washed across the street. Today, I decided to finally try Ape Coffee. I'm so glad I did. I loved the aesthetic of the place, music choice, and the diverse menu. I'm a big banana lover so when I see something on the menu with banana, I want to try it. I had the Monkey Business Iced latte. The banana foam tasted just like a fresh banana. This was the cherry on top for me. The drink overall was delicious. The staff were also very nice. I will be going back in the future. read more

Was in the area running errands with my pup & we stopped by yesterday. The girl at the front was SO lovely, she greeted us immediately & offered a treat to my dog. I told her it's my first time & that I don't like my coffee super sweet. She suggested a cold brew or orangutan, I went with the latter & it tasted great! It had turmeric and star anise, very unique and flavorful (not too sweet, either!) Everyone there was either working or hanging out, it's very spacious & perfect for catching up with friends. The parking lot also had plenty of space, great spot! read more

I am usually a latte or americano girl but for the past few weeks ape has been feeding my matcha needs! I believe they use ippodo which is my favorite brand to use for home use. The banana foam made out of real bananas takes it to a whole new level. I love seeing the same familiar kind baristas every time I go. Parking can be a bit tight at times but the service and drinks make the trip worth it. Interior wise I love the black and grey look. Very aesthetically pleasing. Thank you for always being amazing!!! read more

between a sushi restaurant and salon, this small shop can easily be missed but it's definitely worth visiting! when we entered, the staff was very friendly and helpful with their recommendations. i got the snow monkey and was told that it is on the sweeter side, to which they said they could make it less sweet for me. thankfully i took them up on the offer because it was just the right amount of sweetness for me with the adjustment. will definitely come back to visit again and try their other drinks! read more

My experience with Ape Coffee: I moved here in January and ape happens to be the closest most convenient coffee shop near by. I started going and throughly enjoyed the staff and coffee. However over the past few months everything has changed. The coffee shop hired a whole new staff of employees that I've had nothing, but problems with every time I come by. I've been a frequent customer coming in at the same time almost twice a week ordering the exact same thing every time; a monkey business with no cinnamon. I end up dealing with the same problem every time I go; I ask for no cinnamon as I am allergic and every time they continue to put it in there. When asked to remake it, I'm met with frustrated remarks and or asking if they can just scoop it off. Again I state no because I am allergic you can't just scoop it off, as the drink has now been contaminated. I've always been met with nothing, but rude lazy staff who would rather talk amongst themselves than tend to the customers. For months after they switched from their new system to toast I've felt that even I had more experience with the system, as they are always messing my orders up and never giving me my points. When I'd point it out they claimed they would try and fix it or just simply would state that they just didn't know how and that it couldn't be fixed. I've sent emails and dms requesting for things like this to be fixed and not to have a hassle every time I just wanted to to come in and order a coffee. I've been a regular here for almost a year and yet the new staff claims they don't remember me and have stopped giving me my regulars discount entirely, I never had this problem with the previous caring staff. They claimed they couldn't see my past orders (to know if I was a regular) and would just have to remember me by face, but somehow never did. I took a break from coming in the last month hoping their work ethic might get better, I go in this morning getting a monkey business and a monkey bread which don't even get me started on the bread it was horrible burnt carmelized bread, nothing like a cinnamon pull apart to which they described it. I had points for a free drink and upon trying to redeem it they said I couldn't and nothing was showing on their end, I pulled up my toast app and showed them and had to stand in line for more than 10 minutes trying to get my free rewards drink that they couldn't find and claimed they couldn't do anything about. I almost feel as if I'm doing their job every time I come in. Mistakes are made but it's how a business handles it is what matters and they clearly couldn't care. When I kept stating I had the points and even showed her she said "well if you had it then it would show up" insinuating I was lying or didn't have the free rewards. It's nothing, but trouble every time I'm here. This will be my last time coming. read more

First off the service was completely impeccable. Sydney had an extremely warm welcome and showed us an option that we could order off the computer or wait for her to order with. The ambience was very chill, but yet fun with the records on the wall. Even the other customer seem to be really enjoying themselves there. Last but at least the coffee was freaking amazing. I ordered the snow monkey and I asked for half the sweetness and it was perfect. I will definitely be coming back. read more

Is this a club or a coffee shop? Dark, loud music, terrible customer service. Earl gray tastes like weed.

Everyone was nice, friendly. Coffee taste great.. good place to hang out n study. The matcha cookie was yummy.

The monkey business latte is definitely the best coffee I've ever had! I discovered this place from a friend during my semester of law school, and it got me through studying for the bar exam. It was a great place to work because there are outlets for every seat. The baristas are all friendly, and they play great music so overall good vibes. I would just put in headphones if I wanted to focus. Parking is limited, don't park on the street cuz I got a ticket once, but it's a pretty good turnover. I'm moving away so this is my last monkey business latte for a while but will definitely be back for one whenever I come back to visit! read more

I come here to study often. Plenty of space to get work done and nice and relaxed environment. The employees are very friendly and you are able to choose between ordering through the kiosk or with them directly. My favorite items so far are their Cloud Ape as well as their seasonal peppermint latte. They also have delicious croissants which are huge for the price you're getting. Parking lot is a little small but should be easy to get in and out of. read more

Yumminess!! I noticed this coffee shop across from where I get my car washed. I decided to try it and it did not disappoint. It's a small, low lighting, welcoming atmosphere coffee shop, they have staff to place your order or a kiosk option. NO CASH ACCEPTED, which is totally fine, I mean who carries cash this days?? Me lol... They have a lot of different coffee, tea and food options. They all sounded so delicious and I couldn't decide on which drink to order. One of the staff members was so sweet and helpful and recommended to try one of their popular drinks Monkey Business if I liked bananas. She explained that they don't use artificial banana flavoring is all natural banana. Of course, I love bananas, so I gave it a go and it was so delicious. The banana flavor is there, but it does not take away from the coffee flavor, like sometimes banana can. Banana doesn't overpower the drink. It is not overly sweet. It's just delicious. Definitely coming back to taste their other drinks and food options. Price for the drink with tax: $7 read more

Best coffee I have ever had. Green Ape coffee beans taste fresh roasted. The Arabica medium roast is low acid and 3 cups in a row no problem for my GERD. Previously used a brand advertised as low acid, and it was, but beans were very dry and shattered/flaked in my grinder. Not a problem with Green Ape, and I have used several packages of it already. Wonderful, mellow taste! read more

I am a huge coffee addict and the coffee here is absolutely amazing!! My favorite coffee was the Snow Monkey! I had their chocolate cookie and lemon loaf as well, the chocolate cookie was my favorite out of the two! The cafe is a perfect place to hang out and relax, do some work. The ambiance is very modern. Overall my experience here was pretty good! I won't lie, I wasn't too much of a fan of the coffee here but it was probably just the drink I got. Really love the friendly atmosphere and clean space. I've been to Ape about 4 times in the last week to sip on my morning oat latte and read a book. It's been a great ritual! I did venture out and tried the matcha latte yesterday. Would not recommend as the matcha flavor isn't strong in my opinion. I'm excited to try some of their other coffees (I don't like sweet drinks so had been safely opting for the oat latte ). Was scrolling on Yelp trying to find a new coffee shop to try & I'm glad I ended up coming here !! The cashier was very friendly and recommended me the Monkey Business, while I was debating between that and the Snow Monkey. She said that it was good for those who didn't want their drinks too sweet and she was right ! It was very creamy and not too sweet, with a kick of banana. Their cream top was very thick so I couldn't get a sip of coffee at first, but after mixing it and using a straw it was so good ! My partner said "it was grAPE !!" ;-) read more
