Everything is great about it except for one thing.. it has popcorn ceilings. Ughh. Because we have children, we wanted to ensure that they are asbestos free. It was our highest priority with out a doubt. We called around and came across AAA asbestos. Ashley answered and we were immediately greeted by such a nice person. She was very pleasant and so knowledgeable. Initially we were hoping she could provide us with her thoughts based on when the home was built and pictures. But she explained to us that the only real way to ensure it's safe was to test. Makes sense. So we hired her. She was very prompt and punctual. Our appointment was brief but detailed. She educated us on things to look for when it comes to asbestos and mold. Both my wife and I actually learned a lot in the brief time she came to complete an inspection. Price was very reasonable and she was swift to provide us with a report of the results. We are in fact asbestos free! Definitely a relief. The best part of our experience is we were telling some friends about our experience and turns out AAA did an inspection for them as well! (Small world). And they were extremely satisfied. A huge thanks to Ashley and AAA! We really almost hesitated purchasing our home because we didn't want to deal with the mess of having to remove the ceilings with asbestos but we're glad it all worked out. I would highly recommend AAA.

But I had to go with the restoration company I had already signed a contract with because they had already performed some services for me. If had had to pay them off it would have cost a lot of money. So it was cheaper have them finish the job for a package price. JRN was professional, and offered good advice on how to reduce repair costs. They are certified for asbestos and mold remediation. The lesson I learned is always find out the cost of a service before it's performed, even if you think insurance will pay for everything. In my case I did not have enough insurance coverage.

All the samples showed negative for asbestos. "Cool!" I thought, but my anxiety still didn't let me feel completely satisfied. I took my own samples, submitted them to a lab in Anaheim ($20 a sample), and the sample I took from my ceiling fan came back positive for 4% Chrysotile (asbestos). I don't know what they did with my money, but it's insane to think that they overlooked the ceiling fan which is one of the common places for asbestos to have been used. I have 0 years of experience in the industry and even I knew that. Don't waste your money. Labs charge about $20 a sample. Find a lab, follow their instructions, and save yourself massive amounts of money. For asbestos, this was an absolutely useless service.
