Express Air Testing did an outstanding job with my mold remediation project. I had a difficult water-damaged room with several different strains of mold that actually had to be remediated twice before all of it was completely eradicated. Express Air did all the testing, both before and after. Shirley, Emilio, Gilbert and Henry were consistently friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and on-time. Their written reports were excellent: thorough, clear and easy to read, with specific suggestions for the remediation company on how to remove the molds. They even gave me some nice discounts on the unexpected second round of testing. I would highly recommend this company to be your safe environment testing consultant. -John M. read more

Hired them to test for me a couple years back. I paid almost a thousand bucks for the service. They came to my house, took samples, and sent me results a while later. All the samples showed negative for asbestos. "Cool!" I thought, but my anxiety still didn't let me feel completely satisfied. I took my own samples, submitted them to a lab in Anaheim ($20 a sample), and the sample I took from my ceiling fan came back positive for 4% Chrysotile (asbestos). I don't know what they did with my money, but it's insane to think that they overlooked the ceiling fan which is one of the common places for asbestos to have been used. I have 0 years of experience in the industry and even I knew that. Don't waste your money. Labs charge about $20 a sample. Find a lab, follow their instructions, and save yourself massive amounts of money. For asbestos, this was an absolutely useless service. read more

My plumber sent out this business to test my house for asbestos and lead before a re-piping job. Jeff arrived on a Saturday which was very convenient for me. I pointed out the areas of demolition. He was very professional and made sure to grab samples from areas where damage would not be easily visible. The job was completed within an hour. read more

Unbelievable!!! These people did it again!!! Through a restoration company, I was referred to Express Air Testing for testing of asbestos. Based on his work, I recommend Michael and the company he represents. Thank you Michael! read more

We experienced water damage over the weekend, before the restoration company could get work done we had to have additional testing done. Michael Weaver came out and was so friendly, kind and compassionate. He answered all of my questions (which there were many!) and took his time and care at our home. We have been so stressed since this happened and he really helped put our mind at ease and really went above and beyond. Really grateful for his honesty and the peace of mind he gave my family and I, not to mention how quickly they get your results to you. Could not recommend him enough! read more

I would highly recommend Express Air to anyone looking for a fast, efficient, professional air testing company. I'm beyond pleased with them - I am currently dealing with water damage and possible mold in my home and have been panicking, but Henry not only arrived on time, but was professional, friendly, calm, knowledgeable, and explained everything thoroughly to me. I was so anxious when he got here, but by the time he took his samples, did his drawings, and filled out his forms, and walked me through the process, I was feeling so much better. Henry was really patient with my questions - I don't know anything about air quality or mold. He maintained social distancing and wore his mask and gloves the entire time. Henry even refused a tip. I've never had a service technician perform their job this well and then turn down a tip. This really is above and beyond service. read more

Stellar company! Michael Weaver was the environmental consultant who came out to test my ceiling for asbestos, mold, and other unmentionables. He was extremely knowledgeable and a great communicator. He taught me interesting facts about my house and the sampling process and broke down complex scientific verbiage (suspicious microbial activity, anyone?) into terms I could understand. Michael was quick, thorough, and highly professional. Thanks, Michael and Express Air Testing! read more

Although Andrew was personable he was maybe a bit too personable. He was here for over 2 hours (talking to me) and only collected 1 air sample. When I asked him if he was going to do the additional 2 he had promised during his assessment he told me he did them. When I pushed him saying, "Are you sure you did the other 2? He said, "Oh, your right, I think I got distracted, and I didn't do them." When the company called me back with the results I asked them how to get the mildew smell out of my apartment and clothing and they told me my nose was the problem. Hopefully the property management company doesn't hire them again! read more

I have rented a house in Los Angeles for my son and he lives there with 3 other young men all university students, due to mold in their bathroom cabinet and the long frustrating story behind it, I had to find a company that would test the air at the house. I called many companies, Pw Stephens, Titan environmental, Envirocheck , AEG environmental and Pacific, they all either couldn't help me, wouldn't cuz i was not the landlord or just ddn't care to return my calls...lol So I found Express Air from my first encounter w Shirley and picking her brain w all the questions I had since other companies really ddnt answer to how caring and compassionate she was, I was sold on this company. My appointment was a day later and I met Kevin... honestly I think the company needs to get rid of all their technicians and just keep him:) what a professional, kind and patient young man! He went over everything with me and all the procedure, i followed him to every room and kept asking questions, he patiently answered all and continued to do his work. He was very thorough and even offered advice on couple extra areas to be tested which we did, i had to call the office like 3 times due to additional testings being done and since i was on a budget, I had to make sure I wouldn't go over, Bernice helped me and was so kind, i even got a discount. That same day in the afternoon i received the preliminary report via email and since the office was closed i called Kevin on his cell phone which was on the company business card that he gave me he went over the test w me and was very informative as parts of the report was difficult to understand, he went above and beyond his call of duty and i so appreciated it cuz had he not answered, i would hav had to wait the whole weekend w worries. Today i called to pay the bill and Brianna helped me, she too was very kind and informative, as i was on the phone w her i received my receipt, very efficient. Overall if i could i give Express Air 100 stars. I hope no one ever have to go through mold issue at their home but if anyone does, plz call these guys, i truly mean it when i say you are in excellent hands. Thank u Express Air read more

I have worked with Express Air Testing for a while now. I own a plumbing company. Now a days with all this regulations from the state. Insurance companies trying to avoid to pay out of pocket. Many uneducated plumbers have open walls, ceilings with out testing for asbestos. Jeopardizing the health of the customers and them selfs. Insurance companies take this companies to court for the money they pay out. Express Air is the company you want by your side. In many occasions they went out same day and at times had the results the same day if call early enough. Thank you guys for all your hard work and help. read more

First-rate, top of the line. This company exceeded my very high standards. They were called in to test my house for asbestos and lead after a sewage leak into my house. I loved that they worked on Saturdays and were available the day after they were notified of the job. Luis was punctual, professional, highly competent, careful, thoughtful, and very clear in explaining the work. He gave me the lead test results right then and there, and the asbestos results came the next business day. Luis returned several days later to do the post-project asbestos and bacteria tests. He waited at my house until the results were available, which was terrific. At the Express Air Office, Jazmin and Brianna were incredibly helpful, available, knowledgeable, and they coordinated seamlessly with me, their field team, and my State Farm adjustor. I highly recommend this company. read more

Looking at their (very professional looking) website and the region that they cover (large area region) I thought that they would be well in tuned with customer service; they are not. The first line of contact are phones (I called 510-463-5555) and spoke with 'Victoria' she was not customer service oriented, lack tack and without reasonable knowledge of the general process of remediation of asbestos removal. After my call with her, what I came out understanding, is that this company wanted to charge me for services that I did not nor wanted; I just wanted to 'HIRE' services for a 'Clearance Testing'. When I challenged her in the reasoning of having to include an initial survey first, which I have already had tested and the results were positive for asbestos. She continued with the same templated sales tactic and sounded very annoyed. I recognized this and DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Be WARNED...if it doesn't sound reasonable or something just doesn't add up, turn away. There are plenty of other companies (GOOD Companies that want our business and NOT be given the business.) I would not recommend doing business with this company because of the first initial contact 'VICTORIA, YOU'RE NOT AN ANGEL'... read more

Express Air Testing was so wonderful. A man named Nicolas rested my ceilings and walls for asbestos and the report was given to me the next day. Also, a woman named Shirley who was so nice and helpful rushed my report to me even thought it was late the day before Thanksgiving because I was so anxious and wanted to get everything taken care of as soon as the holiday was over. I'm so glad I did business with them! You won't be disappointed! read more

Very professional, family-run business. Express Air came to the rescue all the way in Santa Monica when we discovered a standing leak in the ceiling from our 2nd floor tub and were concerned about the possibility of black mold. This family-run company has stellar employees who are all courteous, professional, thorough and very knowledgeable. They made a stressful situation less so with their expertise, efficiency and kindness. Of course I hope to not find myself in a situation where I have to get environmental testing on my house again, but if I do, my family will be calling Express Air. read more

My experience with Express Air Testing was nothing short of perfect. All Express Air Testing personnel, from the owner, testing technicians and customer service staff, exhibit excellence at every stage of the process. Every member of the team is deeply knowledgeable about all of the testing services offered by the company. As a first time home owner, I am incredibly grateful that the Express Air Testing team immediately eliminated all of the stress associated with an environmental issue at my home. When I discovered a possible environmental issue at my new home, I called Express Air Testing. Breanna took my call and was extremely knowledgeable about mold, asbestos and lead issues. Notably, she was also incredibly patient in listening to all of my questions about what initially felt like an overwhelming issue. Breanna addressed my concerns with unmatched knowledge and sensitivity. Breanna quickly developed a testing plan to meet my needs, assembled an excellent testing team to perform the tests, clearly communicated each step of the process and delivered above and beyond on service. Breanna was sensitive to the fact that I wanted to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and made sure a testing team could perform the tests and return all results in an organized report all in the same day. The testing team arrived early and took the time to explain their testing process in detail before getting started. Dan and Kevin worked efficiently as a team to take dozens of samples in a time efficient manner. They also explained their initial findings orally before they left and reiterated that I would have a full set of lab results in a report with recommendations by the end of the day. The report I received from Express Air Testing took all of the guess work out of addressing the environmental issue on my property. The results were clearly communicated and the report provided the road map I needed to fully remediate my home. Thank you to everyone at Express Air Testing for your incredible service, expert testing, and your kindness and compassion toward me throughout the whole process. read more
