What can I say, we have been going here for the past 15 years. It has changed owners since but is still very good. The original owners were amazing and this was an authentic mom and pop Italian restaurant . Had the homemade dishes , family owned restaurant vibe. The interior has beautiful hand painted murals with Italian scenes and gorgeous landscapes. Faux painted old brick walls make this an absolute great overall experience. The food has and still is delicious. The taste is definitely homemade and probably handed down authentic recipes. And the prices are still very reasonable. This last time we were here, the waitress seemed a bit distracted as we had to flag her down during our dinner to order and get our check. Other than that she was friendly and knowledgeable. I stopped by Anzios Italian Restaurant for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Located in not the best part of town, I didn't have much trouble finding a spot in their complimentary lot. After walking in, I was seated at a table. Ambiance (3.5/5): Anzios tries to recreate the Italian experience through Tuscan, rustic decor. The thing is, they're all decals. So, while it's fake, the restaurant doesn't look bad. And it does take things up a notch from your typical neighborhood Italian restaurant. There are tables, booths, and a few tables at the bar. Service (4.5/5): It took me quite a while to be greeted after I was seated. To the point that I had decided both what I was going to eat and drink, and was starting to get bored. Luckily, the waitress apologized for the wait, and after that, she was friendly and attentive. Really, everyone I interacted with fit the bill. My waitress did the little things to make up for it. She brought me a refill before I asked. She was efficient. And she grabbed the WiFi password for me when I asked. All in all, pretty much everything I expect in a service experience. Drinks (N/A): I had a strawberry lemonade, so not a lot to write home about. They do have a full bar, but I didn't pay a lot of attention to the list as I was there solo on a Wednesday evening. The strawberry lemonade was good though. There were small pieces of strawberry in there, and it was just the right level of sweetness. Most places like Anzios just have your typical soft drinks. Anzios takes it up a notch. Food (3/5): I started off with the toasted ravioli appetizer which was a tale of two cities. You can either do the cheese, meat, or combo ravioli. I went with the combo as I love both. The cheese ravioli was delicious. The melted cheese inside paired so nicely with the fried ravioli and the flavorful marinara dipping sauce (served warm). On the other hand, the meat ravioli were overcooked and dry. Good portion size though. For my entree, I did the combination platter which comes with three of their most popular dishes: lasagna, fettucini alfredo, and chicken parm. Plus, your choice of a house or Caesar salad and garlic bread or French bread. I went with the house salad which comes with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and your choice of dressing. I chose Italian. The salad wasn't as fresh as I would have hoped. As far as my combo, the chicken parm was my favorite. The chicken cutlet was crispy and there was melted cheese on top. On the other hand, the fettucini Alfredo was lackluster and tasted like something I could make with store bought cheap pasta sauce. The Alfredo sauce lacked flavor. The lasagna was so-so. So, as you can tell, some dishes are a hit and some are a miss. The garlic bread was good, and when you take it all together, it was a lot of food. I was stuffed and still had leftovers. I would give Anzio's a second chance. Maybe you just have to know what to order. read more

First time at Anzios Italian. I used to frequent Anzios Landing at Falcon Field. Stopped in for a Saturday Lunch at 11:30. We ordered the Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, side salads, Alfredo Fettuccini, and Scollops and Pasta with a spicy chipotle sauce. We had a new server who was very good. The salad was excellent as was the pasta dish. Had four scallops on my pasta dish which were tasty. We also had garlic bread. Service was excellent, old school ambiance. Would have liked to see a couple of additional scollops or shrimp on my dish. Otherwise the pasta dish by itself would be fine. Overall a good dining experience. read more

I'm really sorry to leave this review, but I feel it's necessary. This used to be one of the best Italian restaurants in the Valley, but over the past couple of years, the quality has clearly declined. The food no longer tastes the same--on my recent visit, it was cold--and the overall cleanliness was very disappointing. The tables were dirty, the carpets looked unkempt, and the seating was worn and torn. Service has also gone downhill. Most of the staff seemed unprofessional and uninterested, with the exception of one longtime waiter who has always been great. This place held a special place in my heart--it was my mother's favorite Italian restaurant and reminded us of New York-style dining. I came back hoping to give it another chance, but unfortunately, this visit confirmed that things haven't improved. I ordered pizza and wings, and I left concerned about the quality. It's truly disappointing to see a once-great restaurant fall to this level. I hope management takes this seriously--there's a real need for better cleanliness, improved food quality, and more attentive service. read more

Food was yummy and normally go to always adding protein to our pata but after coming here next time I go back the Alfredo sauce and noodles just by it self is so yummy.. I am not Italian but hey this Alfredo sausage is so good.. service was slow, and took a moment even to just order water or a drink! But where the service lacks the food made up for it all.. definitely would go back I still have the flavors running in my mind because it was good. So if you want yummy food and can look past OK service not great the food is good and worth going back.. the restaurant is a nice chill place and it wasn't so busy but maybe it was just a slow day and mate workers were tired. Came here for lunch on a Thursday and let me just say... Ooooomg. The shrimp linguine was absolutely buttery bliss in a bowl. I'm not even going to pretend to care about calories! The sauce was so good I found myself spooning it straight into my mouth at the end. I would have licked the bowl clean, but I like to think I have at least a shred of decency left. Long time patron of this restaurant. I'm not a fan of the pizza but many people are, I'm just picky because I'm Italian and this just doesn't quite make it for me but hey, I'm just one guy. Now for the good stuff. The wings, whether it's bone in or boneless are very good, especially the bone in. The garlic bread is by far the best. You can tell how good they are by the way your partner will turn their head when you try to talk to them after eating one, garlic, garlic, garlic. Salads are good and the service is fantastic. Anzio's is one of my son's favorite restaurants and so I continue to go here but the quality is still fair at best. The best items are the fried zucchini (the only way my son will eat veggies, LOL), the garlic bread, and the brownie sundae. There is absolutely NO ambiance here -- not even any elevator music, kinda depressing. Also the place kind of smells like dirty towels, and my pizza also kind of tasted like dirty towels too. The service was good and the server was very friendly -- I felt bad for her when the table next to us was complaining about their food. This little Italian restaurant is a hidden gem! We've been going here since the late 90's, I believe. May have been early 2000's, but anyway, it doesn't look like much from the outside, mainly because the neighborhood has gone down some, but this place is super yummy! The ambience inside is great. They have the low lighting, which makes for a cozy atmosphere. Great for families or date night! They do serve alcohol, & their Cannoli's are fabulous! Food is wonderful. They have a good variety. Pizza, wings, all the nornal Italian dishes, like Chx Alfredo, Rigatoni, etc, etc...staff is very welcoming. They do get very busy. We had a party of nine and we planned on meeting at two pm. Some of us got there early, we didn't have a reservation so we out our name in and were told it would be a while as they were full with some large parties. Tons of people exited by the time our party was assembled. I didn't really tour the place so I can't say much about my visit. We ordered many items, pizza, salad, bread, pasta, fried zucchini, and a sandwich. After lunch we also got some desserts, tiramisu, cinnamon bread, and chocolate cake. There were no complaints. Stopped in for dinner. I am going to say hands down this is the best Italian restaurant on the North side of town. I had lobster and cheese stuffed Ravioli in a rich vodka cream sauce. Wait, it gets better. I had hot bread with it to make sure no sauce would go to waste. For Desert, I got a slice of cheesecake with fresh strawberries that was big enough for two. If you are on this side of the tracks, I encourage you to try this place for pizza, pasta, sandwiches and more. read more

Been coming to Anzios for a long time and the food is great. The staff are amazing and there's nothing bad on the menu. It always gets a 4-star rating in my book. We came on a Sunday and it must have been an off-day. We got there after the lunch rush and things seemed off. The service was slow, and the meals came out sporadically (there were 7 of us) and the minestrone soup seemed mushy and overcooked. The salmon pasta special was good but the veggies on the side needed some seasoning. Overall this is still a great place to come for good home cooking Italian food. Where do I start with my disappointment in this place I bought a Groupon for $17.10 for $30 worth of food let me tell you let's start with the bread the bread is like cheap quality bread with I don't know some type of oil or margarine and sprinkle with cheese on top that was terrible then my service was awful I could never get my server to come to the table I ordered the veal cutlet parmesan I should have known better and it came with soup so I got the minestrone soup which of course was tasteless and even adding cheese didn't really help and then I ordered a meatball as an appetizer 15 20 minutes goes by I'm sitting there with absolutely nothing on the table except the glass of water and the crappy two slices of bread that were inedible and finally I asked some other server going by hey I never got my soup she brings out my soup and then I go well I didn't I ordered a meatball as an appetizer she said well it's not up yet well now comes my dinner and then right behind that comes my meatball so my stupid appetizer came like at the same basically at the same time that my meal came I don't know if she was new if she never worked as a server if she had too many tables I don't know it wasn't that busy in there but I did see her with two larger tables like a five top and a four top and I was by myself so I don't know then the veal cutlet smells like dog food tasted like dog food it's some kind of prepackaged something there's no way they made that fresh there it was hard as a rock I was disgusting the angel hair pasta was like dripping in water I mean you could have put the sauce on there through the meatballs on the on top and melted the cheese and everything on the on the pasta it was just awful and then I said well just give me meatballs and spaghetti instead and then they just need to meatballs on top of a gigantic pile of spaghetti and piled on a whole bunch of sauce that didn't melt any cheese on top and she never once came by to ask me if everything was okay if I needed anything else and then I gave her every chance to try to redeem herself then I was like I'll order dessert and she's gone forever never comes back with a to go box another 5-10 minutes to get my cannoli and then they use some fake whipped cream that's probably made with oil and water as terrible only was okay but had way too many chocolate chips and then you have to pay the tax separate so even though the bill with the tax included came to $30 I had to pay the $2.59 separately which I felt I paid too much for I can't believe they're still in business they probably been there at least 30 years cuz the furniture looks that old I mean so disappointed I and just the nerve of the prices 18 dollars for two small meatballs and some spaghetti with sauce I mean spaghettis like the cheapest thing you can buy 99 cents for spaghetti how much could it cost to make two meatballs which they didn't taste that good either and I'm so disappointed and it was freezing cold in there I never complain about a waitress cuz I don't want them to lose their job but I mean she just really blew me off and never tried anything to like make me happy I never complain about a server cuz I don't want them to lose their job but she was terrible do yourself a favor and don't buy that Groupon do not I repeat do not ever pay full price I did see people ordering pizza and wings so maybe that's their jam maybe but that's not what I wanted I wanted a real Italian dinner and what a waste of time money and energy... read more

Brought Grandma here who is visiting from the East Coast and she really loved the manicotti. She said it was very delicious she loved the thin pasta - it is really top rate food. That being said... the restaurant is going downhill. We walked in and there were leaves and sticks and things from outside in the front waiting area; which if you have somebody who walks with a walker it's not very safe. The booth that we sat in was all taped up with green duct tape. When we sat down a waitress said somebody would be right with us, but it was busy and it took a while to just get served water. Took a while to get our order in as well. Once the large parties left service improved marginally. The nice server engaged with us only at the dessert/ check part of the meal. If I were to eat here again I'd probably just get takeout. But then again nothing stays crisp in Styrofoam. Disappointing read more

MEATBALLS! The meatballs are awesome! I also had a salad which was very good! Their homemade ranch dressing is the best I've had. I highly recommend the meatballs! To go order last night was really not good. Garlic bread not only got soft and smooshy before we could eat but it was smashed into a pan so deformed as well! French fries all soggy! Italian hoagie was the worst! My fav sandwich dry with the end scraps of the onion on it ‍. I couldn't even bite through them. Had to spit out! Poor to go trays is one thing but putting what should've been trash and no dressing on the sandwich is inexcusable! Bread was not good either! ruined impromptu bday dinner! So, so disappointed and disgusted!! This is the 2nd time we've been cheated...once eating in and now once in a to go order! Updated review. I went again and nothing to add except some photos. The food was just okay. The Ravioli and sauce tasted very bland and canned. Serving was large to take home for another meal. The salad was small. Soup versus salad is a choice too which I did not get. The crowd was older.it was crowded packed with a wait time. Go early. The place is cutely decorated which I did not notice last time being in a party back room. Service was shared and outstanding. Mini cannolli was okay but nothing to write yelp home about.
