Service depends, as with all businesses, on the folks who are on staff that day and the volume of patients. Get there on a slow day with the amiable staff, an excellent experience. High volume day with a cranky person, flat experience. I've seen both. I still say this is a good location due to it being hidden--the volume will be lower than other CPLs. But, that doesn't mean it will be low--just lower (if you hit a busy time). I'm increasing my stars because, with my increased visits, I'm finding friendlier phlebotomists.

For four years, I've had to live with seeing an old address on the paperwork because dozens of phlebotmists and trainers at the Brodie and Far West locations didn't know how to delete and update addresses. I really like Dr. Crear and some of the PAs so it's a shame that the messaging service is not held to a high standard. Honestly, it's like talking to a child...but one who clearly uses AI to polish their grammar. The level of incompetence - with incorrect prescriptions called in and incorrect information relayed - is concerning. I hope they don't have these medical assistants completing tasks that require common sense, like relaying important test results. I know practices are trying to increase profits, especially those practices that are owned by private equity (which this place may be--IDK). But please consider your patients. Don't run a competent practice into the ground by having these assistants do what medical professionals should be doing. Employ some actual nurses to answer patient questions for god's sake, not just "medical assistants."

You could tell he truly cared about you and it's something I've rarely experienced in my life. I wish I could remember the nurses name that helped me, she was an absolute angel. i've gone to this urgent care over the years. the wait time varies but is often long…read more I appreciate being able to email them my health history and medication list, as both are long & complex. I think my doing that may be why the Dr who saw me took me seriously, (i saw he had printed out my health history and had highlighted things in it) and spent more time with me than others have. I was super anxious, wayyyyg overtired, and experiencing very intense restless leg (and other parts of my body) syndrome with many forceful spasms, all my muscles in my body were tightly clenched and i couldn't get them to relax and I was also in a lot of pain (this was due to a recent medication change, and my having a bad reaction to it), which I told them. So, at first I was disappointed because Dr. Joe told me that they couldn't give me muscle relaxers bc they would amplify the effects of the drug i was on that I was badly reacting to, so I felt like crying because i didn't know what to do, how to get help. Dr. Joe recommended I go back to my original dosage of the medication, and took the time to show me stretches i could do, and recommended that I take pedialyte or coconut water, and use arnica cream. i followed his advice, got the arnica tablets for leg cramps (i took 6) and the arnica cream for arthritic relief, which i rubbed all over myself. i drank coconut water and went back to my usual dosage of the medication, and did stretches and doing these things worked; got a full 8 hrs of sleep and only had a few leg spasms the whole night! my muscles feel relaxed now, and I am super grateful for that. I appreciate Dr. Joe listening and taking me seriously and recommending all he did, bc i am now back to my normal level of poor health, which is so much less bad than it was before Dr. Joe's help. Emailing health histories and med lists really may have made the difference here, i'm always going to do that in the future. Their email: occmed.pr@texasmedclinic.com

So proud to be the first to review this team on Yelp…read more I cannot say enough good things about them - Krystal, Kendra - wow. Amidst a global pandemic, I needed some tests for allergies and the like. It's important. But hearing about the waiting rooms and all that jazz, I wanted to find something mobile. The first company I tried was beyond challenging. So I looked again, and found Phlebotomist on Wheels. I was starting to give up on this, but these folks were a Godsend. They listened carefully to my concerns (the prior company had everything in one bag, with only one set of gloves - yikes!), and walked carefully through how we'd approach it on-site at my building. Extra gloves and even a gown. In a world where you're a number in the system, Krystal and Kendra treated me like a person. Kendra showed up early, and was so accommodating, even when we added a few tests last minute and on a hot hot day in Austin (we did the test outside). Gross part: The needle came out at one point (probably me moving my arm), but she set me at ease, and with a professional care I see from the best pilots, moved forward. While I won't go into detail about the tests, let me just say that this wasn't an easy set. And she rocked it. She even used a smaller needle as I'd told her that getting stuck can be quite painful for me. Again - I'm used to a lack of service, a lack of care, a lack of understanding. POW is the opposite - service, caring, and as Kendra said truly treating others how we'd want to be treated. In my professional life, I have surveyed customer service systems, carefully analyzing what separates positive experiences from not-so-positive. I give POW an A+++ Very impressed. Will definitely use again. Affordable. Clear. Safe. Positive. Diligent. Respectful. Professional. Who could ask for anything more?

I made an appointment with Dr. Peter's based on my insurance members positive reviews.. I arrived a 8:45 for a 9:00 am showtime.. 9:01 Dr. Peter's walked in, introduced himself, sat down and asked me how I was. I immediately went into my 9 month Covid spiel, naming all the meds, infusions, and breathing treatments.. Whoa, hang on a sec, Dr Peters says let's back up .. He asked me where I worked, what I did, where I was raised, and my past experiences with allergies, surgery's that may be lung or allergy related, and what other medications I may be taking over the counter.. I'm not a sickly person, but I've been to my share of doctors. 98 percent of them want the quickest rundown you can give them so they can give you meds and move on to the next victim.. Not only did Doctor Peters spend time gathering a complete understanding of my situation, he took the time putting the pieces of what I'd shared with him, then gave me a detailed explanation of what he believed was going on with me.. What a privilege to meet with a doctor who actually listened to me, genuinely assessed my situation, then gave explicit instructions I need to take moving forward.. Aside from that his approach is down to earth, engaging, and his staff is equally so.. If you're looking for the sterile, generic, and stuffy atmosphere,, you'll be greatly disappointed!!!

I've been going here for years, and this clinic has infuriated me ever since I started coming…read moreregularly for allergy shots. I won't go into long details, but in short, and in no particular order: - the techs doing the shots are highly variable in their abilities. Some are lovely. Most will squeeze the living bejeebus out of your arm (I swear they leave more bruises than the needles themselves) and then wonder why you're flinching. PLEASE give better training. - the techs assume you magically know your schedule and doses of shots. They'll change your schedule and just assume that you know it, based on the color of your vial. Communication ... not so great. - Dr. Cooke was specifically recommended to me for being super detail oriented. Hmm? I had an actual near-death experience with drywall dust that he was super dismissive of, but thankfully I found a pulmonologist who was extremely helpful and understanding. He showed zero knowledge about air filtration, which seems important for reducing allergies. And the appointments are honestly so weird and creepy, looking at the color of my snot on random appointment days and touching all over my face with bare hands. - nobody answers voicemails - cool! I was traveling for 3 months and was proactive to discuss this with several people before going, since it would put a pause in my shots. Every person I spoke to gave different advice and didn't even follow their own guidance. They ordered my new vials two months early. There's just zero consistency or communication, which is stressful. - the waiting room is typically a disaster. People on their phones, watching videos with the volume turned up, sneezing and coughing galore with nobody bothering to wear masks... it's gross. I prefer to sit on the floor in the hallway to find peace and quiet, since nobody cares to make this room a nice atmosphere while you're waiting for shots and held for 30 minutes after. Since I've been a patient so long I feel trapped here, since I assume changing clinics would mean I need to start over. And I do like two of the shot-techs, out of the maybe 15 I have seen. But to know I will dread an hour a month to come here for shots, plus icky and unhelpful appointments... this is simply not a nice place.
