Great breakfast spot. Cannot believe how quickly they were cranking out the food. There is NO table service here and ALL carry out so be forewarned. You will need to take this somewhere to eat it as there are one or two tables here but the place rocks so just take it back to your condo. Spinach and tomato Benedict is fabulous. French toast is giant and amazing. Avocado sandwich is also amazing. I think we will be back tomorrow for another round. read more

We saw the ratings for this spot and had to come through. Although the line looked a bit daunting, it moved quickly. We ordered the classic French Toast w/ Portuguese sausage, along with some of the other standard breakfast platters. The French Toast was crispy on the outside, light and airy on the inside, and the eggs may have been the best scrambled eggs I've ever had (who knew that you could reinvent scrambled eggs to be this delicious?). One of the few breakfast places in area that is "reasonably priced" ( reasonable is relative to the area). It is carry out only with some outdoor seating available. Great location in shopping area. Noon closing is a negative. Tried both the eggs Benedict & fried rice dish. Eggs Benedict were good but very rich & the pork very salty. The rice dish was also rich. Came here about 30 minutes before they closed and they still had a line out the door. I ordered the daily special, which was a kalua pork moco. The gravy was delicious, but the kalua pork itself was just a tad too salty for me. The other breakfast bowls all looked very good. Anuennue Cafe is a great local spot for breakfast and the staff are super chill and friendly. If you don't plan on doing anything for the rest of the day, definitely come here for breakfast because the food coma from the food will for sure leave you unproductive lol... read more

This place was really great. Food came out very fast and breakfast was super. They didn't have much in the way of coffees other than basics - so we opted for our iced coffees at a nearby business. I got the surfer bowl and it was stellar. My partner got the french toast and suggested it wasn't as fantastic. Good, but not great. The food here is amazing! I came here 3 times during our last week long stay. I'm not sure what sauce they put on the Kalua Pork Fried Rice but it is addicting. The Haupia French Toast is also a great sweet option, while not being too sweet. There might be a short line depending on what time you get there but after ordering, the food comes out pretty quick. Such a simple, quaint shop in the Poipu area serving breakfast with a Hawaiian flair. No real seating here, maybe a bench just outside and scattered throughout the shopping center. Certainly on the more expensive side with most items being between $16-17. They have a list of sweet and savory options. I only wanted the French Toast made with Hawaiian sweet bread and topped with their one-of-a-kind, house lemon curd & berry coulis. Going this route excludes the 2 eggs and and bacon/ sausage of course and is only $9 versus $17 for the main dish. The fluffy and soft French toast on its own with the sauce is quite rich -- sweet and zesty -- and filling. On top of that, the staff was super pleasant, really embodying that Aloha spirit. A very nice local business to support in your visit of the Poipu area. read more

The menu is small but the French Toast was tasty! I got the one with the haupia but I wished there had been way more topping. Unfortunately there is not much seating near this spot so it's great if you want to take food to go anyway. It's a pretty deserted mall area though so you can easily find corners to eat if the tables are in use. We go there about 15 minutes before it opened and there was a short line. I arrived around 745 and there were 3 groups in front of me. They opened promptly at 8. Service : 5 STARS Service was fast. The lady at the front was very friendly! I ordered and received my food in less than 5 minutes. Location/Seating : 4 STARS Some of the pics are misleading, but there is no seating inside and only a table big enough for about 6-8 people right outside and another around the corner to the right of the restaurant. If you want to eat there either get lucky with the table or find somewhere else to sit around the shopping center. You can park anywhere in the shopping center and it's free parking. Food/drink : 4 STARS I ordered the Tube Ride French toast with eggs and bacon and a cold brew coffee. The cold brew was very good! They don't do refills on cold brew so keep that in mind if you stay to eat. The food was served in to-go containers and no lids for the cold brew. My French toast was good but nothing to write home about. Not sure I would order it again. IMO, not worth the $17 but at least it came with the eggs and bacon. I probably won't be back just based on eating at better places in the area! read more

Update on review - we managed to return and it was the owner working, not the young teenager that closes when she feels like haha. See original review for that part. Wow the food is AMAZING! We got their two popular items - kalua pork fried rice and haupia French toast. Oh wow...I am picky about Hawaiian good, fried rice, and brunch foods in general. A lot of places have stellar reviews when they're actually average. This was 5/5 all around. The flavors, the quality of ingredients..and the owner was so nice too! Definitely recommend. Check hours before you come though! ORIGINAL REVIEW: They shut the door on me at 4:30 pm on a Saturday and said they were closed, and refused to acknowledge us. The sign specifically said they closed at 6, and the site says 8. I don't think it's good practice to close when you feel like. But something tells me the teenage girl just closes when she feels like - who knows if the owners know that.. read more

Tasty breakfast! Arrived a couple minutes before 8 and we were just a few people from the start of the line. Split the Anuenue Benedict, a side of French toast with the lemon curd and berry coulis, and Portuguese sausage. Also enjoyed a lilikoi iced tea. The Benedict was my favorite. So thrilled to find this cafe! They did not have gf bread but their avocado sandwich was excellent! So fresh and tasty in a nice toasted ciabatta type bun. Our friend and I had it without bacon, son had it with bacon and hubby had a big breakfast. We all left satisfied. They only let one group in at a time to order and there are several tables outside. We just had this cafe for breakfast and wow I'm really pleased with the experience! There was no wait when we walked in which is always a plus. It's an order and go so you have to find somewhere outside to sit and eat but it's not hard to find a beautiful spot in the surrounding area. Stopped by for breakfast multiple times on our 4 days stay in Kauai. Delicious food! More of a casual, quick take-out spot.

This place is really good, everything in my bowl was prepared fresh, and the ingredients were fresh. My only two issues are $16 for a breakfast bowl, at a walk up window, order at the register, place, and how slow it is. I think $16 is a lot even at a full service place. If it was full service you could sit and enjoy any number of other items while you're waiting on your food. But...anyway...on to the review. All of that being said, to to pros, the meal would easily feed me three times, since I'm a fairly light eater. Portions were generous, for a single serving, but not a lot of the protein ingredients, more veggies and rice, which I prefer, lighter, and super fresh. I loved that the bowl was creative, lots of flavors, colors, and was very tasty. I would order it again, but would have trouble making it a regular thing, and I'm sure the price will affect the tips your staff are getting. Just food for thought. This was the first place I ate during my trip to Kaua'i and I'm so glad my friend and I chose to start our day here! I had the surfer bowl which was delicious, tasted fresh, and was fair for the price point. I could tell each of the ingredients from the cheese to the peppers used were all fresh. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient; and the location makes it so you can easily stroll around different shops or go for dessert at Lappert's close by if you've got room for more. NOT A CAFE. It's takeout ONLY, with a few benches in the area to sit on. NO VEGAN OPTIONS, despite what their website says. Not even any fruit at all so not good for kids. The positives: service was fast with only 1 person taking orders and running the food which was impressive, and their avocado toast sandwich was good, but I added eggs to it which made it a small $20 sandwich. Their veggie "fried rice" was very disappointing. It was plain white rice with bland veggies and a sweet soy sauce drizzled on top. Their over-easy egg was pretty undercooked too. We had high hopes for this place as it was recommended to us and we chose to try it on Easter instead of other brunches we could've gone to and completely regret it. read more

Great friendly service by the one girl we dealt with. Bacon was really good, eggs were good too, French toast is kind of plain and could use more flavorings. Kalaheo Cafe cinnamon roll French toast is amazing in comparison. But if you like and get the specialty French toast options they offer, maybe that would work better for you. My wife got the Surfer Bowl and it wasn't very good, just fair, and she wished they had Kauai Roastery espresso and mochas's like Eden cafe does, so she would rate it low to mid 3's overall and low to mid 4's for me, so a 4 combined. read more

A bit oily but loved the crispy bits of rice that were reminiscent of the cast iron bottom of a dolsot bibimbap. I asked for sauce on the side and glad I did. The rice didn't really need it. The French toast is $11 per small slice and seems like poor quality, and it was topped with some cheap sauce -- not what you'd expect at a restaurant for $11. This is a cute little establishment that is primarily take out. They do have 2 picnic tables that serve as community tables. That's how we enjoyed our breakfast. Service is fast and friendly.
