This great find in the industrial area of Lihue is a local gem. I was up early, hunting for breakfast and saw that this place opens at 6a. I got there at 6:05 and there was already a short line of regular working folks heading to their daily grinds. I was a little intimidated because clearly I was the only tourist to find this place at this hour but everyone is welcome so have no fear. It's a bit hidden not only deep in an industrial area of warehouse-like buildings but also hidden in the corner of a nondescript industrial building with cars parked all over from the various businesses and one small kine sign over the garage door opening. If you blink, you miss it so just look for where all the people are gathering under the small green sign and you are there. I had a moment of panic when I walked up because the menu has so many great things on it that I had a tough time making up my mind. No worries though as the line is patient and the friendly lady manning the window wasn't pushy. It is exactly what you would expect. A local operation with folks hustling in the kitchen to make your food to order. There are daily lunch specials but I have only been for breakfast which was plenty good! In fact it was so good, I'm planning to go back again tomorrow haha. I can vouch for the corned beef hash (made crispy) and eggs with rice and a side of Portuguese sausage. Artery clogging goodness for sure! It's cash only so come prepared and since it is made to order, if there is a line, you will be waiting a bit while they make your order. Tipping is optional but there is a jar at the window. Leave 'em something because I watched them hustle like crazy to feed the working class at the crack of dawn to keep the island running. That is so worth a tip in my opinion. This is really a take-away operation so there are no places to sit. However, do what I did and eat on your hood or in your car. If you are there in the morning, watch all the locals showing up sleepy-eyed but ready to be fed. The lady at the window knew them all by name and it was a great spot to watch a little slice of really local island life while fueling up for the day. read more

Hidden gem alert in Kauai If you're looking for a legit local, no-frills breakfast spot, this is IT. I ordered the full Portuguese sausage plate with eggs + added a side of corned beef hash (because why not ) ....and WOW. The sausage was perfectly pan-fried with those crispy edges, super flavorful, garlicky, and just the right touch of sweet. Everything on the plate just hit. Tim got the breakfast sandwich on sweet bread (subbed Portuguese sausage for bacon) and described it as a melty grilled cheese moment with sausage ... and honestly, he wasn't wrong. It's a small spot in an industrial area ...no seating, cash only....but that's exactly how you know it's about to be GOOD. Not touristy at all (which we love), just straight up local comfort food done right. And the service? The lady at the counter was the absolute sweetest...warm, welcoming, and just added to the whole experience Don't skip the freshly baked banana bread Hands down the best breakfast we've had so far in Kauai. Already planning to come back before we leave read more

The lady at the counter is such a sweetheart! Went for breakfast and saw cheeseburgers. Wanted to order that but she kindly said they don't serve that until lunchtime. So next was a loco moco. They also have Red Bull. I love hole in the wall eateries. The food is always the best and always local. I will be coming back, read more

CASH ONLY. Keoki's is in an industrial area and offers a few parking spots in front. Unfortunately there are no tables to sit here and eat, but there are a few stool chairs around the corner. There is also no bathroom. I went here on a weekday morning around 9 am, and there was no one ahead of me in line. The cashier, Wendy, was so friendly. I ordered a mini spam plate and full Portuguese sausage plate. OMG... this was my favorite breakfast during my entire 10-day trip! The food came out quickly and was delicious!! I tried to go back another day and got there around 950 am, but they switched to the lunch menu already and I was craving breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place and would go back. read more

This is a great breakfast/lunch spot tucked away in an industrial area with a small parking lot in front. We took the food to go, but there are some stools if you want to sit and eat there. The French toast was AMAZING and dripping in butter while being perfectly sweet. Eggs, sausage and rice were well made. Service and prices were good. They are cash only. read more

The cashier was super friendly and helpful. Parking is a couple spots in front and of course - street parking. It's a quick grab and go spot which I appreciated coming right out of the airport and going to the hotel. I instantly fell in love with the roast beef plate. It was so tender and juicy. If it was a cold/rainy day it would've been perfection. The Mac salad was great! Husband ordered the curry stew and liked it (4/5 stars). read more

Keoki's - Order and pickup - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Lihue, Hawaii

Located in Lihue, just 3-5 minutes drive to the airport. Check hours, as I believe it's not open on weekends or Mondays. Amazing loco moco! We ordered the corned beef hash moco full size and shared between 2 persons and it was enough. They have some crack in the secret sauce gravy! There is soooo much gravy drenched on top and it has a lot of beef flavor and additional ingredients that make it stand out. The corned beef is the canned type, as I like and it is perfectly cooked. The rice is so perfect, warm and fluffy short grain. It was recommended by the Kauai backcountry adventure tubing guides and you can't go wrong! There is no seating here, just grab and take out. read more

My family came to this place for breakfast 2 times and we love it. This will be our go to spot every time we come to the island. Staff is friendly and welcoming as soon as the see you. We love the Keoki's breakfast special love the pancakes and eggs with the spam or the eggs with bacon and rice. Small place but yummy. More like grab and go. Will definitely be back when we visit the island again. read more

Delicious local place. Johnny moco and Mac were both amazing. Out of the way but well worth it.

Another favorite local spots to grab breakfast and or lunch. In my opinion this is my go to spots for breakfast. They also have daily lunch specials. I love their spinach mushroom omelette which always get with regular rice or their signature fried rice. They don't do credit or debit cards, only cash just fyi. read more

***cash only****Recently had a business trip to Kauai. I called in my order at 6am and conveniently picked up 6 plates at 8am. Good thing I called ahead they were sold out of corned beef by 8a! I'm a sucker for home made corned beef and it was delicious! Portions were generous and I love that it's a small local business tucked away in an industrial area. Just remember to bring CASH! Take out only. My local co workers said the Luau Stew is amazing here I'll try that next time;) read more

A hidden gem in an industrial area in Lihue. Uma's plate is the best thing on the menu! It's 2 beef patties on fried rice with an egg topped with grilled mushrooms & onion, cheese and brown gravy. Can you say kanak attack!? Service is fast and friendly. Parking can get a little tricky during busy times but you'll manage. I do not recall seeing any places to eat on site. I was looking for a quick meal and this was close by. It was a bit early to get a heavy meal so opted for their daily special, chicken teriyaki plate $14. It's located in an industrial location and parking was limited. It's a walk up window to order and they only accept cash. Very pleasant and easy to order. Food was ready within 3 minutes. The rice is amazing and the macaroni was good. The chicken was a dud in my opinion. It was hard on one side and hard to chew. The teriyaki was made very salty. Maybe they had an off day. read more

I love Keoki's. It was a business recommended to us by local friends on previous trips to the island. We passed by last Summer but they were closed. We totally felt like we missed out. This most recent visit to the island, we went to Keoki's 3 times during our 14 day stay. It was great each time. My first time getting food there, I just missed the cutoff for breakfast which is 945am. So you bettah get there early or call in your order by 930am, the Aunty said. Always listen to Aunty... I ended up ordering 2 teri cheeseburgers ($4.75) and french fries ($3.50) for my lady and I to share. The teri cheeseburger was tasty but on the smaller side. I need a double next time for sure. The fries were perfectly crispy and salted just right. Specials for the day were: hamburger steak, chicken fried steak & beef luau. The 2nd time I went there, I made it in time for breakfast. Victory! I got a corned beef hash plate (full: $11.75) and my lady got a half plate portion ($8.75). The full portion comes with 2 corned beef hash patties, 2 eggs and 2 scoops of rice. The corned beef hash was good and just what I needed for breakfast that day... I also got a couple of banana bread slices ($3) and they were so good. I remember seeing the Uncle in front of me the previous time, had gotten the last 2 and I wondered if they were good. Now I knew... Perfect wake-up snack. Moist banana bread, thick cut, great flavor. The 3rd time we went by Keoki's was just for banana bread but they were all sold out. I was so bummed.... Aww mann. Keoki's is the true definition of the early bird gets the worm. Dont sleep or you will miss out on the goodies. Located in an industrial part of Lihue very close to the airport. CASH ONLY. Mostly locals and work day customers getting breakfast on the run or lunch on their break. No tables or chairs. Eat in your car or take it home... I love this place and cant wait to go back next Summer. I'm getting the teri beef plate for sure. Recommended by the ohana, Randy from Timbers. Mahalos Randy. read more

Keoki's is a super casual walk up restaurant where you can find a decent burger and a rotating menu depending on day of week managed by a nice family. Breakfast was so delicious on the sweet bread! We loved the loco moco as well. Gal who helped us was so nice.

The food is hit or miss. What they do well is great... what they don't is disappointing. Either way the price is right!!! Open work days and for breakfast until 945. After that only lunch. Recommend the Teri burger and omelette. Skip the fried rice and the stew. Service is fast, cash only and totally take out... go to a near by park and enjoy. The ladies pack what you need ( napkins, fork, etc in a little box and are especially sweet. read more

To go only and cash only. Hawaiian plates and burgers served out of an industrial complex. The whole place has a definite "hole in the wall vibe" with catering materials and packaging stacked all around the ordering windows. They also have some snacks for sale (banana bread, cookies, li hing gummy bears). We had the teriyaki chicken plate and the Luau beef. The Luau beef was traditional with plenty of Luau (taro) leaf, but it was light on the beef. Nice subtle flavors and not overly salty. The teriyaki chicken portion was moist, generous and covered in a sweet Teriyaki sauce (too me a bit on the salty side). Both plates came with a scoop of rice and mac salad. FYI There (like most Hawaiian food places) were not many veggies nor vegetarian options. Two lunch plates, a pack of li hing gummies, and a banana bread (which was delicious!) was $40.75. A great option if you're coming in/out of the airport also as it is around the corner from the airport (about 5 minutes). Note breakfast stops at 9:45 am Note: no restrooms Food- 3.5 stars Local Vibes -5 stars read more

Located amongst warehouses, this family run place offers hearty dishes. This place is popular based on the number of guests showing up for their phone orders. Although we simply ordered a breakfast sandwich and French toast, our family raved about the Uma plate and Combo breakfast plates. The amount of food served seems good for the value. We will return when visiting Lihue! read more

Not to be confused with the Keoki's in Po'ipu, this Keoki's has been around for over 40 years (this I know because I'm 42 today, and they catered my first birthday back in 1981). Tucked away at the end of a garage in Lihue Industrial Park Phase 2, Keoki's has been consistent in availability and quality of Japanese, Filipino, American and Hawaiian food. Come here for the teriyaki burger or their famous shoyu chicken. Breakfast options are ridiculously generous. Recently I had Uma's plate, which knocked me on my butt after I ate it. It's a loco moco on top of a bed of fried rice, topped with extra gravy, sauteed mushroom and onions. read more

Last call for breakfast is 9:40am, I saw the lady behind me in line squeeze her order in after that time - so they're reasonable. Your food is prepped to order so they're piping hot when handed to you. Take out and cash only. I ordered Uma's plate.
