Located in Lihue, just 3-5 minutes drive to the airport. Check hours, as I believe it's not open on weekends or Mondays. Amazing loco moco! We ordered the corned beef hash moco full size and shared between 2 persons and it was enough. They have some crack in the secret sauce gravy! There is soooo much gravy drenched on top and it has a lot of beef flavor and additional ingredients that make it stand out. The corned beef is the canned type, as I like and it is perfectly cooked. The rice is so perfect, warm and fluffy short grain. It was recommended by the Kauai backcountry adventure tubing guides and you can't go wrong! There is no seating here, just grab and take out.

Great for a pick up breakfast. Local stop and great quality. Good portion sizes too! Parking out front or around the area as this is an industrial zone. Really kind staff and lots of good choices. Can never go wrong with a loco moco. No tables or chairs as this is take out. Can call to order first. Don't forget cash only. Highly recommend!

Damn, that was good. A run-down exterior hiding a total gem inside. The food is bomb -- think deliciously greasy, not health-focused. Quick service and exactly what you want when you're craving something indulgent.

***cash only****Recently had a business trip to Kauai. I called in my order at 6am and conveniently picked up 6 plates at 8am. Good thing I called ahead they were sold out of corned beef by 8a! I'm a sucker for home made corned beef and it was delicious! Portions were generous and I love that it's a small local business tucked away in an industrial area. Just remember to bring CASH! Take out only. My local co workers said the Luau Stew is amazing here I'll try that next time;)

Really delicious food. The gravy was tasty. You just drive up and walk to an open garage. This is in the same area as a lot of auto repair shops. No outdoor seating. They were really friendly.

A hidden gem in an industrial area in Lihue. Uma's plate is the best thing on the menu! It's 2 beef patties on fried rice with an egg topped with grilled mushrooms & onion, cheese and brown gravy. Can you say kanak attack!? Service is fast and friendly. Parking can get a little tricky during busy times but you'll manage. I do not recall seeing any places to eat on site. Best to call in your order before you arrive. CASH ONLY.

I was looking for a quick meal and this was close by. It was a bit early to get a heavy meal so opted for their daily special, chicken teriyaki plate $14. It's located in an industrial location and parking was limited. It's a walk up window to order and they only accept cash. Very pleasant and easy to order. Food was ready within 3 minutes. The rice is amazing and the macaroni was good. The chicken was a dud in my opinion. It was hard on one side and hard to chew. The teriyaki was made very salty. Maybe they had an off day.

Quick breakfast for people who work in the industrial area or for people just getting off the plane. I always default to ordering their Breakfast Sandwich or Spinach Mushroom Omelet. There are no tables but there are some stools available. Parking is limited. Friendly service. Oh, & cash only!

The food is hit or miss. What they do well is great... what they don't is disappointing. Either way the price is right!!! Open work days and for breakfast until 945. After that only lunch. Recommend the Teri burger and omelette. Skip the fried rice and the stew. Service is fast, cash only and totally take out... go to a near by park and enjoy. The ladies pack what you need ( napkins, fork, etc in a little box and are especially sweet.

Keoki's is a walk up window - with a couple of stools on the side but you want to take your food to go - it's clean, well oiled, quick service - with parking Go there for the burgers - loved the teriyaki burgers - they're small so you want to get at least two or a few -

Grab and go breakfast! If you need a yummy breakfast to start your day before your adventure come here and grab and go. Affordable and yummy, I was surprised how good this food was for the cost. Don't let the car yard ambience fool you. Service is friendly and food is good. Other: -Cash only $$ -Parking lot available -No bathrooms -Friendly service -The 4 stars is because I thought the breakfast sandwich could use an aoli or sauce.

    Uma's Special $13.75 tax included.

Superb local delicious comfort food made with love and at an affordable price! Uma's Special...2 big homemade beef patties with 2 eggs, onions and mushrooms and brown gravy smothered on a huge bed of fried rice with a sprinkle of cheese that melts with the hot gravy. Yuuuuuummmmmmmmyyyy!

Walk up order window. I think you can order over the phone.

Located amongst warehouses, this family run place offers hearty dishes. This place is popular based on the number of guests showing up for their phone orders. Although we simply ordered a breakfast sandwich and French toast, our family raved about the Uma plate and Combo breakfast plates. The amount of food served seems good for the value. We will return when visiting Lihue!

We went on a Saturday around lunchtime and it wasn't too busy. There is a small parking lot near the restaurant on the left hand side. It was filled when we first got there, but we were luckily able to get a spot. I could see this lot filling up quickly during other meal rush hours, so do take note if you plan on driving. The ordering is done like your typical poke place, you tell the service worker what you would like and there's a small toppings bar at the end before the cashier. There was a small line when we went, and even with the line, it still only took about 5-10 minutes to get our food. There isn't interior seating in the restaurant though, you will have to get your food take out, or just eat in the parking lot. I got the 3 scoops of poke option for $15.25, and I think that this is a pretty solid deal for the variety of fish that you can try out! I think based on my personal experience on Kaua'i, it will be difficult to get food, especially poke at a reasonable price. But for this price, it's probably the best place on the island to get poke without paying $20+ for the same variety. The fish tasted fresh, and I am a fan of the selection of toppings they had. If you are in the Lihue area and looking to try some poke at a reasonable price, I would recommend The Fish Express! There seems to be a decent amount of other interesting looking options on the menu, and if I'm ever in the area again, I would totally give them a try!

Stunning View, Uneven Execution…read more Hualani's is one of those places that makes a fantastic first impression. The setting is absolutely gorgeous - ocean views, tropical breezes, and an atmosphere that somehow manages to feel both elegant and welcoming at the same time. The service was excellent throughout the meal, attentive without hovering and genuinely friendly. Unfortunately, the food was a tale of two kitchens. My entrée - a kampachi and ahi tuna combination served with mashed potatoes, bok choy, and green beans - was outstanding. Perfectly cooked fish, beautifully plated, and packed with flavor. The honeycomb goat cheese salad was equally impressive and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Then came the rest of the table. My wife's vegetable curry was, frankly, difficult to finish. The flavors felt muddled and flat, especially compared to the care shown in the seafood dishes. The kids' mac and cheese fared even worse. It looked and tasted suspiciously like boxed macaroni with processed cheese sauce - the kind of thing you'd expect from a rushed concession stand, not a restaurant carrying Michelin recognition. That inconsistency is what keeps this from being a four- or five-star experience. When some dishes are exceptional and others feel like afterthoughts, it leaves you wondering which restaurant is going to show up at your table. I'd happily return for the fish, the salad, the service, and the view. I just wouldn't order the curry - and I'd definitely feed the kids beforehand.
