Front steps
Ralph W.

I needed my front steps rebuilt after 50 years of weather on them. Ant's had a 5-star rating here, so I felt good about contracting him. He was personable and responsive to my estimate request. The price was, well, not cheap, but similar to another I had gotten. Work started, and Ant told me he would make my steps wider and deeper, as that would be an improvement. I did not understand the width change, because it would be on the outside of the railing. Later, I realized that the larger steps were to reduce Ant's work of breaking out the old steps. I got him to leave the width as it was originally, which added 6 hours of jack-hammering to the labor. In the end, the steps were deeper, which forced me to move the railing, so it was not sitting on the edge of a step. The finish work looks good, but the overall job is a bit less than perfect. The landing pad was not square (I had Ant cut it when he removed the forms). Also, a couple of the steps have a noticeable slope at the ends. Working with Ant was easy. He accepted my requests for alteration of his plans with a smile. He worked some strange hours (into the middle of the night) to complete the job quickly. Overall, I was happy to work with Ant, but he is not an all 5-star cement contractor.

Beautiful work!

Very professional! The patio extension looks great! Super fast service and very accommodating! Will use for any future concrete needs and will recommend to anyone needing concrete work! Thank you!

We just had our shed slab poured by Anthony and his team. He was fast to start, very reasonable and very good quality. The hard working crew put a lot of care into the work. We highly recommend them.

Ant and his guys did an awesome job, he fit me in his schedule and got the concrete work done quickly and it looks amazing, I couldn't be happier with the outcome

He repurposed the dirt from the retaining wall, and leveled out my front yard, for free!

Ant's the man... he not only did an amazing job, but he finished on time and on budget! Actually, he came in a bit under budget... since he took the dirt from the retaining wall construction and used it to level off my front yard, for free! Check out the craftsmanship and the lines on the fire-pit patio, it's like a work of art! And sine he's basically a one-man show, his bids are lower and the quality is better... he isn't just checking in occasionally while paying someone else to do the work (like most general contractors). If you want someone you can trust and that will do a great job communicating with you through the entire process, Ant's your man!

Was told the process would be half a day ( approximately) it took ONE hour... There was no communication I didn't get a receipt a listing of any supplies ( which to have it redone would be cheaper with THEIR equipment) new measurements showing I was level pictures a walk thru questions answered nothing.. it was payment is now due thank you have a good weekend.. I emailed and got the "quality control" guy to come out the following week. I asked a few questions but felt like I was a waste of his time and he's : trying to teach the guys about customer service: he went under the house said everything was secure and left ... No one said anything about the 3 inch gap between my home and the foundation/ wall that STILL needed to be repaired/ re leveled. Very noticeable.. as you could see the back yard thru the gap. so disappointed in this company! We had to hire another contractor to get that level. Ridiculous!! I trusted them to repair my HOME!! It's my HOME it may be a 'job' to you but I'm paying YOU. I choose you. And now I am sorry .

He was Very Kind & Gracious every step of the way. Pricing was fair. Ricky was flexible, and adapted to our changing wishes about the work, as it went along. He has a Keen Eye For Detail, and he's Very Conscientious. He sealed our concrete driveway and sidewalk, as well as applying a Beautifully Decorative Trim on the Driveway, and All Along our Stamped Concrete Pathways that encircle our house. But most impressive to me was his masonry work. He restored and sealed our terraced stone front yard, that had been crumbling apart for several years. He ground out the cracks and the old crumbling mortar, and replaced it with a mortar that matched our stones much better than the original. He added years of life to the steps and top platform. Plus he added new stones where we wanted them, matching them pretty well, even though our type of original stones are no longer available in our area. I've looked. He did a Great Job in every way, and he's a Mighty FINE Human Being! Thank You, Ricky! Hope to see You in 3 years to seal it all up again. ~Sunny :)

Previous owners planted large shrubs next to the wall, making things worse. Most of the professionals I talked to wanted to repair this wall. Ricky Lemon said it would be a lot of work, and expensive, but he agreed with me that the wall had to go. He and his small crew tore out the wall and the shrubs, hauled off the debris, and installed French drains and a terraced block wall that looks great in about two weeks of really hard work. Mr Lemon and his crew were respectful, pleasant to interact with, always willing to explain what they were doing, considerate of me and my neighbors, and really a delight to have working on my property. The work was top notch. The crew worked hard in hot weather - and I like this about Ricky Lemon - he provided cold drinks for his crew, insisted that they take breaks, and did not work during the two hottest days (so far) in July. In the end, he added railings on both sides of the two flights of steps up to my front door. Since I am as old as that wall was, I am really grateful that he did the extra work to find good-looking, sturdy, safe railings for me. The whole thing looks great now - I need to plant some flowers in the terraces, but it is too hot for that just now. If you hire Ricky Lemon, you will get someone who is a really good worker, who produces a great result - someone who knows what he is doing and does it really, really well.
