Family meal to go. Cutlets, salad, pasta, breadsticks. Packaged well and warm.
Carter D.

Got a take out family meal from here for New Year's Eve. It was reasonably priced and good options. It was ready when we arrived, packaged well, and still warm when we got home. The servings fed the amount of people it promised. We'd order again!

Pizza was ok but the bottom was really soggy! Really liked the sauce though. I would give them another shot.

Visiting from California, I decided to stop here because the pizza looked really good in the…read morepictures on Yelp. I walked in, saw the sign that said to order at the register, so I did exactly that... and then stood there for about five minutes looking like I was waiting for someone to tell me I was in the right place. Nobody said hello, nobody acknowledged me, nothing. I honestly started wondering if I had missed a step. And I'm not exaggerating when I say five minutes. I stood there waiting to be acknowledged before anyone came over. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like when someone walks into a business, a simple, "Hi! We'll be right with you," goes a long way. I work in hospitality, so that's just something I naturally notice and appreciate. The funny part? As other people came in, I noticed they were greeted, so I couldn't help but wonder... was it just me? Oh well. Now, credit where it's due ....the food was actually really good! I ordered a pepperoni, sausage, and banana pepper pizza with a small drink, and my total was about $21. The pizza was a great size, and I really enjoyed it. I honestly would have given you guys 5 stars because the food deserves it. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the lack of acknowledgment when I first walked in. A simple hello or "We'll be right with you" really does make a difference. Other than that, I'd definitely come back for the pizza. Hopefully next time I'll get the greeting too.

We have been a Gionino's family for years and never really considered trying Uncle Spikes until my…read moreson had friends over and they requested it. I must admit, their pizza is really good! We all loved it! Big picture.. The prices are pretty reasonable and they have a great variety of options on the menu. Ordering is easy and straight forward. But, most importantly the pizza is great with a crust on the thicker side and a healthy portion of cheese (ok, it's not exactly "healthy"). As a bonus, the staff seems awesome. Every time I've gone there it's the same guy at the counter. He always has something interesting to share or a funny comment. Makes the visit even better every time! If you want authentic NY style pizza try Pizza DiLauro, if you want filling, delicious Ohio pizza...try Uncle Spikes!

I purchased a $30 discount certificate for Uncle Spike's Pizzeria so I ordered a large cheese pizza…read moreand a small thin crust cheese pizza for takeout; ordering is easy and efficient. The menu is pretty straightforward, plenty of pizza options, calzones, a single salad and a couple of beverages. Uncle Spikes is half of a small building just East of the center of Aurora, the shop is takeout only, a simple counter, one cooler and the kitchen behind a wall in back. My pizzas were ready and nicely cooked; the presentation is simple the pizza boxes are just plain, no logos or writing which is fine. The pizzas are very good, the crust is excellent, the cheese near perfect, and the cooking was the way I prefer it a bit well done. The only problem I had was that there was almost no sauce on my pizzas; with a good sauce these could be some of the best pizzas in the area. I did enjoy the pizza over the next couple days, especially since I could add some toppings including chopped and sun dried tomatoes; the reheated pizza is excellent. The large pizza with the regular crust is big enough that 1/4 of the pie makes a good meal; the small thin crust is also very good since this makes for an even cheesier taste. Uncle Spike's does a really good pizza, the portion size is generous, the quality is excellent, the only issue for me was the lack of sauce, I don't know if this is their usual approach or if it was just a mistake. I do appreciate the nice and simple approach, no frills, no hype just good take out pizza.

This spot brings a shareable Italian dining experience, meaning large portions that don't compromise on flavor. For me, the true test of an Italian restaurant is its red sauce, and Capriccio's nailed it--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Whether poured over pasta or served alongside hearty entrées, you can taste the quality in every bite. And speaking of pasta, they make theirs fresh, which adds an extra layer of authenticity and texture to every dish! Beyond the incredible food, they offer craft cocktails, which immediately caught my attention because, well, I'm a low-key cocktail snob--the more intricate, the better! Their drinks are thoughtfully prepared, adding a perfect complement to the meal. Now, let's talk about dessert--because their Biscoff cheesecake is TOP TIER. Creamy, rich, and full of that buttery Biscoff goodness, it's a must-try. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Tip: Make a reservation Capriccio's is tucked away enough to make it an ideal date night spot--whether with your partner or your sneaky link (no judgment here!). I'll definitely be back for more of their authentic flavors and cozy vibes!

I also placed a to go order of Shrimp Fra Diavolo and chicken Alfredo from the BYO pasta section. Both were large portions and very good. The Diavolo had great heat and was perfect for me. All the packaging was very nice. A super quaint Italian bistro that has great food and service. I can't wait to return and have dinner again.
