Great ice cream. Homemade and unique flavors. BUT they serve a tiny !!! scoop. Like so small I wasn't near satisfied. Not a value from my perspective. read more

Lucky Charms ice cream?!? Mallo Cup ice cream?!? These things exist, and who knows what else they will come up with day by day! You will not find a more creative, better tasting, homemade ice cream than you will find at Antney's. And if your thing is soft-serve, they've got that too... and it's WAY creamier than the stuff you get at DQ. For the quality of their product, I was expecting it to be more expensive (and it'd be worth the money), but it's priced so fairly. They've also got frozen doggie treats (made with peanut butter and bananas), sorbet, and frozen yogurt. You don't want to miss out on this place! read more

been in love with antneys for years, they never disappoint!, they will always treat you with the most personal service and all of their ice cream flavors are to die for read more

We'll bust my buttons and pop my pants!!! This place is the BEST in Pittsburgh!!! Just discovered this little gem but I can tell this is going to be a real love affair with the best, thickest, tastiest and creamiest HOME MADE ice cream I've ever tasted! The flavors are insanely delicious and unique! According to the owners, the flavors are always changing...but hey, I'm down with that!!! Almond Joy, Strawberry Cheesecake, Brown Sugar Krispies, Butter Pecan and many more! They have sorbet, shakes, waffle cones and much more--and for only a little over a buck you can buy your furry best friend a "Pup Cup" so your little buddy isn't left out of the fun! This place is very clean, pleasant employees and an awesome owner who knows how to win customers!!! Try this place--you'll be glad you did!!! But first, buy yourself a pair of pull on elastic waist pants (maybe in the next size up?!) and ENJOY!!! (Just kidding--all things in moderation, right? Said no ice cream lover EVER!) read more

Great place for ice cream. The owner and staff great and they have a wide variety of flavors. Lucky to have a place like this in our neighborhood! read more

All of the 5 star reviews are spot on. The homemade ice cream is incredible. Try the apple pie, salty caramel, and pup cups. The staff is so friendly! read more

I was never an ice cream person. I was okay with having a small ice cream cone every once in a while. Until my fiancé introduced me to Antney's! They have the best ice cream ever and I adore their sorbet. Their flavors are unique and their soft serve is so creamy and delicious. And I can't say enough about how friendly they all are. Highly recommend to every one. read more

Some of the BEST ice cream I have had in a long time! Can't wait to try it this summer!

Some of the most amazing ice cream that I have had in a long while. Its not the best location, but really great selections that were unexpected. We will most definitely go back there again on our next trip to the city. read more

We love Antney's!!! My boyfriend is a soft serve snob and he always gets it there. I'm a fan of all the creative flavors they have with fun ingredients like brownies, bacon, waffle cone, Rice Krispies, thin Italian wafer cookies, and more. We always gain about five pounds in the summer from Antney's ice cream alone. It's wonderful! read more

Everything about this place is wonderful! The service and the ice cream is always on point. Love supporting this local business!

Creamy, delicious, rich ice cream: The Best. Always new and unusual flavors as well as superb renditions of the classics and all of the flavors taste super fresh. Get there SOON before they close for the winter! read more

I'm not sure that I can write a review that does this place justice. No matter what you're looking for, Antneys has it. From hard serve to soft serve, sorbets to sundaes, everything is delicious. They even have pup cups for dogs, and mine loves it! They make their ice cream fresh at their store everyday- and you can tell by the quality. They have different flavors everyday, my favorites being a snickerdoodle flavor, Nutter Butter, and a coffee flavor. There will always be a new flavor to try, and love, when you visit. Besides their amazing desserts, the staff is exceptionally friendly. They always ask if you would like to sample anything, and are patient while you decide which flavor(s) are your favorite. The place gives off a real "mom and pop" small business vibe, which is a plus for me. If you're looking for a sweet treat, skip Dairy Queen and come straight to Antneys. The desserts are good and the staff is friendly, which is why I'm here a couple times a week! read more

I love Antney's! Awesome flavor a, nice staff and a great place to hang in the summer. I love that they sell treats for puppies too!

Pecan Pie? Cinnamon Apple Butter? Shoofly Pie? This is what you can get at Antney's! They rotate their flavors regularly but everything I have sampled is absolutely delicious. There are a few tables of outdoor seating and general patio space to stand in while eating a cone. The owner is a really nice guy, too. I cannot recommend any other ice cream shop more highly than this one. read more

I'm 8 mo the pregnant and NEED ice cream all the time. Antney's was so friendly and delicious. I love that everything is handmade. We brought my dog along for one of their pup cups and he loved it! I can't wait to take my friends here. read more

I'm writing this review as I sit here anticipating the spring opening of the best ice cream place in Pittsburgh. Seriously, after trying countless flavors at Antney's and loving every one, I refuse to go anywhere else. Their flavors are all homemade and unique, and they change constantly. Sometimes that can be disappointing, especially if you were hoping for a particular favorite flavor, but sometimes (if you ask really nicely) they'll bump up your favorites in the rotation. Two to definitely try would be the chocolate peanut butter potato chip and the peanut butter with caramelized Ritz crackers... hands down the best! Not only is the ice cream fantastic, but everyone that works there is incredibly friendly and pleasant. A couple of us head down a few times a week after our workouts at a local gym (honestly, it's the reason WHY we work out) and it's always so nice to be greeted with a smile. Definitely add this place to your favorite summer spots! read more

While the hard ice cream is great, the secret here is the soft serve. It is a half step from custard (the owner says that all that is missing is eggs) and is just amazing. Try a sundae made of the vanilla/chocolate twist. Just freaking unbelievable. read more

A lady spoke highly of this place. She raved about the butter pecan. I didn't try that flavor. I had a taste of the mint chocolate chip. I didn't want anymore. I ordered the vanilla bean. It was better than the mint chocolate chip, but the (2) ice creams I ate lacked creaminess. I prefer Pierre's from OH or Grater's from Columbus, OH, both of which can be found in the grocery store. Pierre's is $2.99 on sale for a whole box. A single scoop at Antney's is $3.94. My mother liked the waffle bowl bc it did not taste like it had any sugar. I did not like it bc it did not taste like a vanilla cone and it tasted slightly burnt. Oddly my mother liked it for these reasons? She said they should sell the cones with a small amt of ice cream:-) She was not impressed with the ice cream either. I parked at McD's and walked across the street so I would not have to make a left turn to go up the hill. The real turn off for me was the strong smell of smoke at the window as I stood there and ordered. read more

I sought it out after reading reveiws on here and it is very good as far as I can see. This was my first time, so this is just an initial take on the place. The service is friendly and fast. The portions were a bit small I thought. I guess the scoops were a bit small, but the ice cream is really great. I had a scoop of the carrot cake and a scoop of the pistatio flavored ice cream in a bowl. I really like the carrot cake. I am a big carrot cake person and this lived up to high standards. The pistatio tasted like fruity sweet ice cream, but not sure if it tasted like pistatios. I like it anyways and it had real pistatios in the ice cream. I got the pup cup because I brought along my dog Zeus. It is peanut butter and banana flavored. It was very frozen, so I wait to let it soften up a bit before giving it to Zeus. I think maybe they could have the pup cup be a little softer, but that was my only slight complaint. I will try again. read more

Went here a few weeks ago on a whim because I'd heard it was great. We were not disappointed. Awesome ice cream, super-friendly staff... will definitely be back next season! read more

I wished that we would have discovered this place sooner. It is the best ice cream in da burgh and possibly the best I have ever had. I wish I could go there everyday. Antney knocks it out of park. I heard them say to make their pecan pie ice cream, they bake pecan pies, then dump the whole pies into the ice cream. My mouth is watering as I type this. If you don't go, you're missing out. I feel sad for the people who prefer the dairy queen across the street. read more

We visited this for the first time tonight and were impressed. The staff was super friendly, and offered us samples. My husband liked his unique baklava ice cream. I got the cinnamon streusel. What I like is that not only is there something for everyone -- with hard ice cream, soft serve, sorbet, and frozen yogurt -- but they have gluten free options. They have GF cones and replace the scoops after each use. Can't wait to return! read more

Hard to go wrong with homemade ice cream!! Tons of flavors, always changing. Also offer a punch card to get freebie after so many (10?) visits. Very friendly service and offer samples. Can use a card for $3 and up, which is a major bonus (for me) over some other local ice cream joints because I never have cash and am sometimes on foot, since I live close by. I can never get just one flavor....all that I've tried so far have been winners. If you're not in the neighborhood it's also very convenient to major roads (Greentree Rd, Parkway West, Noblestown Rd) so I recommend checking it out! read more

Delicious ice cream! Nice family owned business. Great variety and always a surprise flavor.

Hands down best ice cream/sorbet I have had in my life! I've been all over the country and haven't gotten anywhere near as good as this place. Owners are the nicest people around as well :) read more

OMG best ice cream I have had in awhile. Made here and always different flavors. I got the chocolate and it's so rich and chocolaty and not to sweet. My son got the tootsie roll and declared it his new favorite. My husband got cotton candy and apple pie and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. Definitely going to come back next time we are in Pittsburgh. read more

My favorite place for ice cream. I'm actually lactose intolerant & this is the ONLY ice cream I can eat. I honestly think it's because its homemade & ingredients are of a higher grade. Every time I go I have such a hard time choosing which flavor I want even when I try 90% of what he has. It's definitely my favorite place to & I take all of my friends there when we want ice cream. read more
