Horrible experience. Horrible service. Waited 10 minutes to place our order, after getting drinks. My "ranch cheddar bacon chicken " had no cheddar, no bacon. The waitress had no idea what it should have been and would not check with the kitchen. She did finally offer to bring me a slice of cheese. Cold cheese for my rapidly cooling chicken. Hubby had chicken tenders, which he didn't finish, as he said Culver's has better. Not only did the waitress have no idea what the food should have been, but she made it clear she didn't care. Husband had perch dinner and he said it was good. We felt super rushed by our waitress. She brought our bill while still eating and asked for payment while eating. Great atmosphere, food was piping hot out of kitchen and service was excellent. 5 in our party, 2 had Mexican and portions were enough for 5. The portobello slices were to die for. We ate here on a Sunday night - the service was great and our waitress had a fun personality. It was a fun place to watch the Lions play football. The food was all delicious from the tomato bisque to the Beast Burger, the Michigan Cherry Salad, the Portobello Mushroom sandwich and the California Chicken. Mmmmm.... Did you hear that? That's the sound one makes in her teeny RV after the first bite of Mac n' Cheese with the AMAIZING (watching the Mich vs MSU game from the campground --Go Blue!), smokey, mouth-watering beef brisket on top. It's seriously a perfect camp comfort food on a cold night that travels well. We couldn't locate firewood for sale (late October), so I insisted on a hot meal. I had the "burden" of popping into the Antler Bar to order while my husband hung back in the RV with our overly-needy-spoiled-rotten dog. Food was going to take about 1/2 hour, so --darn--I had to order a beer and sit and watch Michigan score points (okay, I know, it's not their strongest season, but I have faith). Anyway, service was friendly, and the food was terrific! Happy place and was packed on game night. I'll be back. Maybe our dog will learn to tolerate the RV alone, and WE'LL be back. Our experience here was a mixed bag. Five people for lunch. We found a table right away. The bartender/server seemed harried. But we got our order in. She recommended perch tacos, burgers or Mexican food. Food must have been cooked sequentially or something because half of it was cold. Burger was super disappointing. Grilled cheese was tasty, but small. Tomato bisque forgettable. Carnitas tacos bland without big seasoned flavor in the meat. Although it was tender. Asparagus bites were mostly breaded. Loved the homemade ranch, very sour cream forward. Perch tacos were good. Portobello fries had great flavor but were one of the things that could have been served warmer. Kind of dark in there with lots of high tops and a few low top tables. I can imagine it getting pretty loud at night. read more

The restaurant is located in a business/eatery main Street environment. The restaurant does not open until noon and The Lyons were playing at 1:00pm so we wanted to grab a burger and a beer to watch the game. There is street parking available but also many large shared parking lots near you can park and walk safely. The business was accessible without steps. Signage posted to seat yourself so we found a small table near the stairs. Lots of options; high tops, regular tables and bar seating. The overall experience was good. We were greeted promptly. Cold drinks poured quickly and our order was taken directly after. The appetizer did come out first but the meal was shortly after. No worries though we were hungry and everything was hot. The staff was super friendly and helpful answering all my questions. I really enjoy that they have a Touch Tunes machine for music selection. First off they were amazing we raced there because we got into town super late and have been dreaming about their burritos and French dip and had zero food at our cottage! The kitchen closes at 9:30 however they work on bar time and we arrived at 9:25 not knowing this! So they actually closed at 9:15...let's just say Melissa our server got them to make our food!!!!! She is a ROCK STAR! Our food was amazing!!!! The service was amazing even though we came in when the kitchen was closing which I hate doing but as I said nothing was up here. The restaurant is very well decorated and lively, my food and drinks arrived quickly and it tasted amazing. I would definitely go again.

4 of us went to the Antler bar on election day. We asked our waitress if they could put on CNN and FOX NEWS so we could follow the election results. The waitress said "no problem". The TVs did not change. We waited 20 minutes and ask again to have the news put on and once again she said "no problem". Another 15 minutes goes by we ask again and she said sure. Finally my friend went to the bar and asked the bartender if he could put on the news. He rudely said "no" and "they were not political here". He then turned his back on her and walked away. At that point we decided to leave because of how we were treated. We were polite the entire evening and really did not deserve that kind if treatment. We should have been told the first time we asked to have the election results turned on that they could not do that. My friends have gone there several times and wanted my wife I to meet them there. As a result of the way we were treated they will never go back and we will not either. Perhaps more consideration should be taken with your valuable customers read more

I've never left a review before. This was so bad, so egregious that a bad review is necessary. The short version: THIS RESTAURANT RE-SERVES FOOD. My sandwich came with a pickle with an obvious bite taken out of it--mouth-shaped edge with teeth marks. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture before the waitress took it away. The waitress was initially very apologetic and said they would comp my meal, at the very least. The manager then denied that it happened and they did not comp the meal. The whole thing was shocking, from the bitten pickle to the ridiculously poor customer service. Do not eat there. read more

I was so impressed by the Pentwater area. We were driving back from a long week up in Baldwin, Michigan at a fishing lodge, and decided to pass through the Pentwater area. I loved it. It seemed like a mini version of my hometown - Plymouth, Massachusetts. I really enjoyed myself there. I loved the marina, and all the walking and shopping around the area. My fiancé Aunt and Uncle got us a table at the Antler Bar for lunch. It was very interesting as there were deer heads mounted on the wall, everywhere. I guess it is what you would expect from a restaurant labeled "Antler Bar" but you don't see too much of that in Los Angeles where we live. The place itself lacked cleanliness and hygiene for sure. Mostly younger kids working there although our service was fine. It took a very long time for us to get our food. I got the California chicken wrap and it wasn't great. A lot of tortilla and not much inside. A lot of sauce. It was not my favorite. Everyone else seemed fine with their food but it was nothing that blew our minds. You can pay extra for sides and even more extra for specialty sides. Otherwise, your sandwich just comes with chips and a pickle. The chips are so salty I thought I clogged my arteries. I wouldn't recommend those, either. They did have a pretty great drink menu. Only Adam's Aunt got a bloody Mary and she seemed to be happy with it. It was not the best presentation, either. Overall this is an experience to certainly miss. Potentially, the happy hour - drinking experience might be more of what this place is known for. read more
