Very cute place! Tucked out of the way, though just off the main street, so you can overshoot it easily. I had the complete breakfast, with their signature Basile eggs - I highly recommend! Great service, friendly staffand some good breakfast items, all in a cute destination town. What is not to like?

Great breakfasts served through noon, what's not to like? This sweet restaurant is adorably decorated with bright tablecloths and twinkle lights. Tea is served in neat, colorful teapots. They make their own strawberry jam (it is excellent, and I usually do not eat jam on my toast!). 3-egg omelettes, quiches, pancakes and home made granola are in the breakfast menu. Lunch menu includes the usual variety if sandwiches, soups(house made!) and salads. A nice addition is the platters and other neat appetizers. Iced coffee, iced tea and summerade are some of the beverages on the menu. We were in for breakfast and I had the quiche, while my husband had a make your own omelette. Both were great. The food came out very quickly. Dessert list includes bread pudding w/hard sauce, homemade brownie sundaes, pies and root beer floats. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and will be back!

Cute, cozy, nice staff, interesting menu--what's not to like? We got their quiche--broccoli & ham and asparagus. Delicious & comes with an interesting fruit mix and toast with their strawberry freezer jam--a delight in itself. I'll return.

Southwest chicken wrap with potato chips

This restaurant was very nice and it had a great patio where we could sit outside on a beautiful day. We started with the deep fried asparagus appetizer that was delicious. ThenI got the southwest chicken wrap and it came with potato chips or you could upgrade to waffle fries or sweet potato fries. My friend got The shrimp wrap which was the special of the day. He didn't want the french fries that came with it so they offered him soup, salad or any of the other options. He chose the soup and they had a seafood chowder that he said was delicious.

High-quality food in a cute little cottage near the water (unfortunately, no view). Breakfast and lunch only. Everything tastes good here.

Crispy and tasty cod fillets, served with fries, tartar sauce and cole slaw, although I was not too fond of the slaw. It's wasn't bad, and I can definitely say I've had worse, it just wasn't very flavorful. The layout of the restaurant is kind of different, like an 'L' shape, and there aren't that many tables indoors, but I think it is due to the majority of their business is the summer/warmer months and people are dining on the deck... and with that said, I would definitely enjoy dinner on the deck. Our waitress was very nice, attentive and not overbearing, although it took her a while to get to our table and the restaurant didn't seem to be very busy... but the host who sat us made sure we got our drinks and menus, so they get points for thinking on their feet and the team effort.

Fifteen minutes later, the server came out and said pasta isn't available for lunch. I asked if they had any non alcoholic beer. Ten minutes later the server brought me a Bud zero. Which I didn't order. I had just asked initially IF they had any. Bid zero is a sucky drink (Fetch in nearby Whitehall makes a very nice n a beer). I sent it back. Then ordered a salad with the ahi tuna. Several minutes later we got water. My wife's salad came first of course. 15 minutes later mine did. We had to ask for water refill. Then the bill came and it still had the Bud zero on it. I had to wish ten minutes to snag the server to get the bill taken care of. The server was apparently new. That's fine. We had a new server at The Deck in Muskegon the other night, but she said so right away, and was excellent. It did appear that some of the other servers were more attentive. And I note other reviews are 4-5 stars. But I have to write a re iré based on the experience that we had, which was sub par, and we would not return.

Our waitress was super kind and attentive, which honestly carried a lot of the experience. And I have to start with the highlight - the chai pistachio latte. Phenomenal. Perfect balance of bitter and sweet, the pistachio flavor hit, and easily my favorite part of the meal (also just aesthetic). Food-wise, it was a mix. I got the Gouda Breakfast Burger and I loved it - juicy, cheesy, stacked, and exactly what I needed (pregnant me was very happy ). I'd honestly come back just for that. My boyfriend got the Kickin Chicken Benedict, and while the jalapeño hollandaise had a really nice kick, the poached eggs were more "gel" than runny... which is a little disappointing for a brunch spot since that's kind of the main event. Other than that, my boyfriend said it was alright. We also did ask for extra crispy hashbrowns and... they definitely did not understand the assignment. More soft than crispy, which was a letdown too. We also tried the Peanut Butter Stuffed French Toast - good, but not super memorable. For two people, our total was over $80 (three entrees, two lattes, a coffee, and an orange juice), which felt a little high for the overall experience - but not unreasonable if everything hit a bit stronger. Overall, this place has some strong highlights (drinks, burger, and service), just needs a little more consistency across the board to really stand out.
