This place is just as bad as Anthony's Homeport. My poor husband took me here for my birthday a few years ago and let's just say that we left hungry. I never got my drink refilled, the food took forever, and when it finally came, it was cold. The steak was undercooked and the asparagus was overcooked, limp, and soggy. We finally managed to flag down another waiter and asked for a manager. The manager that came over was probably the only good part of the evening. I went here last night with my boyfriend and two other dinner guests. The service was terrible. I can understand things being a little bit slower on a Friday night, but there weren't THAT many people there. The bartender was too slow and seemed to be more interested in chatting with coworkers than making the drinks. When we were finally seated outside of the bar, it took someone around 20 minutes to even get water and our drinks ordered. Also, it was a waiter from a different section (Skip, you're a good sport - thank you!) who jumped in and realized we needed to be served. All of that waiting made us notice the dirty dishes. Gross! We finally ordered our food about 15 minutes later. The crab corn chowder was alright, there wasn't much corn though. Calamari was over-breaded and too salty for our dinner guest. She had to send it back. Skip was nice enough to take that off the check. My garlic mashed potatoes that came with the roasted chicken had way too much garlic in it. I couldn't eat them plain. I was quite sad when I ran out of chicken and still had a lot of potatoes on my plate. My boyfriend got the salmon cakes - they didn't taste like seafood at all. Again, over-breaded. Our dinner guest got some sort of mushroom and teriyaki steak. She ordered it well-done and it was definitely medium rare, again, sent back and taken off the check. They brought her new ones. They were unpalatable. Absolutely disgusted with how much teriyaki they put on the meat. There was basically a pool of teriyaki on the bottom of the plate. I could smell the salty sauce from across the table. None of us could eat it. I took one bite, and had to spit it out. I was burping up teriyaki all night. Luckily, she had enough of the veggies it came with to feel full. Even after two large items were taken off the bill (did I mention they forgot to ring us up for our drinks at the bar? Which, by the way, the strawberry mojito had SO much alcohol in it, I was basically drunk halfway through it. Didn't even taste the berry. At all.) it still ended up being over $100 for three entrées. It was ridiculous. The food is way over-priced. We made sure to write on the receipt that our waiter, Skip, be the ONLY one who gets our tip. He was such a good sport for putting up with the lack of professionalism and quality that this crappy restaurant had to offer. YOU DESERVE A RAISE, SIR. This place has one of the best happy hour Menus around. From there awesome Tomato basil soup to their blue cheese salad through the bar burger, pizzas and shrimp cocktail...and sooo much more! The lounge overlooks the marina and the atmosphere is comfortable. It's not on the happy hour menu, but a must try is the sautéed mushrooms; a mix of Porta Bella, shitski sautéed in butter and garlic...MMMMMMM. Did I mention the fish n chips, some of the best around! This place is a must stop after a long day. read more

Disappointing. We ordered off the happy hour menu. Artichoke dip 2 cod and chips 1 blu cheese salad 1 pasta dish All very mediocre. We didn't finish the dip, salad or the pasta. The dip was bland and had a hard cheesy top to it, the salad was drenched with dressing goop and the pasta looked so sad and oily, neither of us wanted it. The cod and chips were just fine, of course it is deep fried fish. Lastly since we were still hungry, we tried the "slump." I kid you not, that is the name of the Rhubarb dessert. Even that we gave an Ok. Did I mention I sat for 10 minutes with a goopy salad in front of me with no utensils? Maybe we will come back in a year and see if anything has improved. read more

Wow!! Date night at Woodfire Grill was as quite pathetic! Our bartender Chris was extremely rude. It took over 30min to receive our appetizers and another 20 for our main course. The food was terrible and tasteless. This use to be a great place to visit, especially for a romantic date night with my hubby. I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone. Management needs to hire friendly bartenders!! These two ladies complain about their job and share how unhappy they are with customers!!! Really sad atmosphere! read more

I am really happy to see others had the same experience I did! Such a beautiful setting for such poor food. We attended a rehearsal dinner here, and if I and my husband are critical of the food, it means they are really off. I allow for a lot of missteps because I am empathetic and I know it takes a lot to pull off feeding that many people. That being said, we had a limited menu and I made a poor choice of having the seafood pasta. The pasta was overcooked to mushy, and the seafood to tiny pieces. The service was kind and prompt which between that and the setting account for the two stars. read more

The food was ok. The one waitress I had was wonderful but pregnant. Having three kids I admired the pregnant waitress. She had another waitress helping her and THAT was miserable. The "other" waitress brought our food out but "it was not her job" to clear the other plates on the table. Considering there were 5 of us at a tiny table and had been sitting for AN HOUR, there was not room to set down the food. She asked us where my daughters food went. I pointed to my daughter. Instead of clearing the dish in front of her, she handed me the food and I got to spend the next few minutes holding it in the air with no where to put it.... My partner and I came in while waiting for Anthony's Homeport that had a 35-40 minute wait and we were hungry! We had a quick peek at the menu up front and were sat right away! I regret not asking for our server's name, she was absolutely wonderful! Super friendly, great energy and on top of all the tables she had in her section. We ordered the crispy bay scallops and the shrimp cocktail. I was very surprised that the scallops actually came out looking more like fried cheese curds, but was even more surprised by the taste! I was definitely impressed and enjoyed our starters! I'm not a shrimp cocktail fan, so I can't speak on that, but my partner said he liked it! He ordered the $39 three course meal of steak and calamari and I had the steelhead with champ potatoes. The steak was was cooked to perfection (medium/medium rare) and my entire meal was delicious. I'm a potato fan for sure, so I was very much enjoying our mashed potatoes! The environment felt very chill/laid back, but with a slightly more upscale feel to it and a great waterfront view. Sat outside today because it was beautiful. It was great to be able to enjoy the sunshine and look out into the water, even if it is just Everett, WA. I ordered the kobe beef burger for $14 w/ some fries and a beer. The burger was great, but not worth the $14. They put in this sauce/paste on the bun that my taste buds just didn't like. The fries were amazing, but you're also reading a review from a guy who thinks all fries are great no matter what size or shape they come in. I like how they remodeled the place. I enjoy coming here on my way home from work when traffic is bad. Most times I like the food. A couple of times, it wasn't cooked properly and have been disappointed. Also the beer selection is very small, I wish they had more selection/rotation in their beer taps. Was contacted by management about the experience I had and was very happy that they care so much about their business. I wasn't looking for anything free but they did send me a dinner for two which we will be using to go try again. Like I said before I love Anthony's so I'm glad to see they employ managers that are so about running a great business. To be specific it was Michele Beito the GM that contacted me and sent the letter and gift certificate. When the other businesses at the marina closed due to a power outage (5/05/19), Wood Fire Grill was able to open up and seat our party of 8, and obviously called in extra staff to deal with the extra customers all around. Exceedingly disappointed in our dining experience this evening. We were seated at a sticky table with stains in the wood surface. When the bread basket arrived, we pulled the two end slices off the loaf and discovered a hair baked into the bread. We waved over a server and showed him, and asked for a new loaf. When he returned he served us what was obviously the same loaf, just with the hair removed. There was no apology given. The same two pieces were torn off, and he had just turned the whole loaf upside down in the basket. We shared this with our waitresss who said she would say something to the manager. The wait for our food wasn't terribly long, but the servers seemed ambivalent about the customers. At one point we counted 7 tables in our section that had no food, and no one refilling drinks. When my $20 cheeseburger arrived the lettuce was ringed in pinkish brown spots and totally limp. I didn't dare complain - I'd probably just get the same lettuce back anyway. So I ate the burger without (to be fair it was cooked and seasoned well). It was very disappointing to spend so much on dinner and receive such poor service. I have been here several times and have to say the place, the view, and the food are fantastic. Make reservations so you don't have to wait too long to get a table. The fork and knife caesar salad is a nice take on the traditional caesar salad. The fire roasted garlic chicken is a great meal especially if you are hungry. Yum, yum, yum! This is our favorite spot for Happy Hour. Prices for drinks and food are cheap, but still high quality that you'd expect. My husband and I can go for a couple drinks and share a pizza for under $20, it's a fantastic deal. The restaurant is large, but the bar is fairly small - my reason for only giving it 4 stars. Depending on the day of the week it can get really crowded but still worth the wait for the price. Nice warm fireplace for chilly evenings with a beautiful view of the marina. Had Alaskan cod, baked with wine and dill (it is on the early dinner menu) - in word - awesome. The broccoli was not great and the wild rice was above average. But then came the item that took 4 star fish to a five star dinner. Dessert. Bartlett Pear sorbet with Huckleberry topping. This was outstanding and worth a visit just for this item. Very disappointing for V-Day. We had reservations, requesting a booth. Did not get. The house salad was a lame wedge of iceberg and bland shrimp and 4 cherry tomatoes. Only one chicken dish on the entire menu. The waitress forgot about our drinks and the bread was cold and tasteless. The staff seemed very disorganized. This place has gone downhill over the past few years, especially compared to Homeport next door. Save your money! read more

The last time we went the hostess was rude and then the server was very slow (ordering, serving, billing); my guess is he was taking a cue from the hostess, but I have no way of knowing. We were a group of 5 and went on Sunday at 2:30 for lunch. It took 10 minutes to be seated only because nobody took the initiative to address us or welcome us. When we did get our table a gentleman came by to fill our water glasses and I noticed a large amount of food on the rim of my water glass. When he grabbed the glass he also took a look at the food then proceeded to fill it and set it in front of me. We waited another 20ish minutes before we finally walked out after not being helped. We had gone to Anthony's early in April, and were less than enthused with our food, which led me to leave them a two-star review on yelp. Well, last night we went back, ordered the exact same things that we ordered the first time and were blown away by the changes. My husband ordered the fish and chips both times, and he said that there was noticeably more fish and that he was full when he was done. He had nothing but good things to say about both the flavor and the amount of food on his plate. We also ordered the seafood mac-and-cheese again, because that was our other big disappointment last time, and it was greatly improved. There was a lot more seafood in the dish, and it made a huge difference in how full we felt at the end. It was absolutely delicious, and we left full and happy. At the end of the day, delicious as the food is, what sets Anthony's apart is the service. From managers to hostess to waiters and busboys, they are unfailingly cheerful and courteous. After our experience in April, we didn't plan to go back, but the general manager called me, asked about the problems I had with my service, talked about how they were working to improve the portions, and sent us a dinner certificate. I was pretty amazed at how accommodating they were, and very pleasantly surprised. It is obvious that they're working really hard to run an all-around great restaurant. I would like to give a 2 1/2 stars, but I can't. They were under staffed so we had to wait for ten minutes before we got seated. Once seated it took another 10 minutes to get our order placed. I ordered a burger because I'm still on my quest for a good burger. I like mine medium rare. There are others in my party so my burger was under the heat lamp for ten minutes before the rest of the order was done. It took 28 minutes from order to table. My bun had dried out by then and I think I got about 12 fries with my burger. While others liked the the crab toast, I'm writing this review. I'm a fan of wood fired anything, this was lacking. One surprising thing was the only pizza on the lunch menu was the two on the kids menu. That what a big wood fired oven is perfect for! It's a shame! I really liked the view. read more

We all enjoyed the food but we could have gone to the store, bought ingredients, driven 15 miles home and cooked it ourselves in the time it took just to get the soup/salads. And there was not even enough bread for everyone to have a slice while waiting. And then an even longer wait for the main course. The couple who was paying didn't even get their meals until long after the rest of us with no explanation or apology. We also had to wait to even ask for utensils for the dessert. They were not that busy either. Then the bill was wrong.
