Stopped in on Saturday night after a long day of Christmas shopping. The fire was cozy and there were many couples enjoying the lounge. A very nice host/server came up to us and handed us the after 8pm happy hour menu. with a nice selection of tidbits and treats, aka food and drink! Burger and Fries and a BBQ chicken pizza for $5.00! And because I am a glutton, I also had a steak taco for $3.00! All pretty phenomenal! Also partook of a 22 oz beer, but I also love that I can order a $1.50 sample of beer! So if I make the wrong selection... I am only out a little bit of change. I really love the glasses, and I will admit it was tempting to snake one of the glasses... But I resisted the urge! I have avoided this place for a few years due to a "fruit fly" incident. But it was a much better experience this time around. And I will definitely be back! My husband, daughter, and I came in for a late lunch on a Saturday. I was thrilled they had a separate gluten free menu but a little disappointed that there wasn't a whole lot on it. Our cocktails came out fast and they were prepared perfectly. Our waiter was very friendly and really stayed on top of keeping drinks filled and making sure we were happy. Like servers should! He definitely got a good tip! The food was good. Hubby had fish and chips. It's hard to screw those up. My daughter had a soup/salad/bread combo with clam chowder, caesar salad, and foccacia bread. She really liked it. I had a mango and salmon salad that was very good, too. This is a great spot to go when you just want something quick to eat after hanging out at the marina. read more

This has become our new favorite "treat yourself" date spots due to the happy hour pricing and healthier option. Our favorite food pick is the farro salad which we split with the happy hour tomato basil pizza. We took friends out to eat there and talked them into the Tomahawk meal. This is a rib eye steak that was supposed to be hung for 45 days which should make it extra tender. The meal cost us 95 dollars each. If the steak would of been tender it would of been worth it. We were very disappointed. The cook on them, when they came out for us to check looked good but after they took them back for the chief to slice they came back over cooked. Must of been still resting and continued to cook. They were pretty tough like a steak I cook at home with a lot less quality of meat and only home cooking experience. So needless to say don't let the 45 day hanging time fool you it isn't worth the money..... read more

Let me say that their Happy Hour earned them two stars, the prices are excellent. Don't waste your time going to dinner, here...we've gone twice and it's just not good. Both times I left disappointed which makes me sad. The food just wasn't as good, and the service was slow or poorly timed (one time our salads literally came two minutes before our entrees). Food was great. Ordered from the happy hour menu. Had the seafood macaroni and cheese and it was pretty good. Proportions were very good - a little more than I can handle. Appetizer I had the bruschetta and it was outstanding!!! Salad was Caesar and it was mediocre. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse and it was also pretty good. I didn't expect to pay $40 for 2 cocktails, an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert and have it take 90 minutes and have them give one member of our party the incorrect dish. It was a slow night! Spent a good part of the day touring the tulip fields in Mount Vernon. Absolutely gorgeous day for it. Trying to decide where to have a late lunch and what better place than Anthony's? It was 2:00 and a few people were there. We were greeted warmly and shown to a window table. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. I had the cod and chips. Three pieces of fish, a nice cone of fries, and a tasty Asian coleslaw. Also sourdough bread. My wife had the crab and corn chowder which was very rich. With that came Caesar salad and some kind of "topped" bread. In all, it was a tasty and adequate late lunch. We try to eat here when we're in Everett which isn't often as its a long ways from Snoqualmie. read more

It's not a place for a cheap date night, but they have great food, moderate portions, a full bar, beautiful views and outdoor seating too! Plan on spending $80 for 2 people for nice meals and a couple of drinks each, but you could always go a cheaper route with burgers or their pizza. On a nice day, you can't beat the beautiful view of the marina and the outdoor seating. All tables have a view of the water from inside the restaurant. Definitely one of my favorite places for a quiet dinner and date night with my husband. read more

Went in today at 3:15. We sat in the bar no waitress came by. Another 2 people came in and sat down about 5 minutes later. The waitress came over to them and brought water. I thought she would come over or the other waitress working in the bar. I was wrong. Waited 5 more minutes when the waitress returned to the other table to take there order and left without looking or acknowledging us. After 15 minutes we got up and walked out. The waitress was standing at the door and still did not acknowledge us. This was the worst service I have ever had in this establishment. I haven't been to Woodfire in a while but I met my sister there for happy hour since it was a convenient spot for us. We had no trouble getting a table in the bar. We each got a glass of wine and ordered the Buttermilk Fried Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer. When the appetizer came there were only about six pieces of cauliflower and several celery sticks. It didn't taste like it was buttermilk fried. It was like a few pieces of cauliflower with buffalo sauce. Really disappointing. While we were eating we noticed flashes, like someone was taking pictures. We looked around and didn't see anything. It kept happening and we figured it was coming from the lights. Sometimes it was one flash and sometimes there were multiple flashes like a strobe. Other people were commenting by this time too. It was bad and really distracting. Someone flagged a waitress down and told her but she wasn't concerned. About that time a bus boy swooped by and picked up our appetizer and was gone. He didn't ask if we were finished, which we weren't. Granted we only had celery left but still. Overall I was disappointed. It used to be a nice place but this wasn't a good experience. With Anthony's a few steps away or Lombardi's just up the street, I'm not sure I would come back to Woodfire. read more

Recently my family and I received excellent service from one of your servers. Her name was Brittney (the receipt says Brittney K. in case there's more than one Brittney). She was polite, funny and although the kitchen had made a small error on our order she corrected it immediately! Because of her, the mistake didn't impact our experience at all! The food was great....although we are slightly devastated that you no longer offer our all time favorite, the corn and crab chowder! Thanks for a great meal and excellent service! I made reservations five days prior to our dinner night and specifically told them that we had two elderly ladies, both with walkers and would need a table on a level floor. When we got there, we were told the only level tables were in the bar where it is crowded, noisy and the tables are very small. I let them know that we were disappointed and their attitude was pretty much "take it or leave it". The waiter in the bar was more interested in the football game on the bar tv than waiting tables. The food was good but given their lack of consideration, especially having our reservations, we will likely not go there again, sadly and I will share this experience with friends and family. read more

This place has gone downhill. My family has always loved the Anthony's establishments. Although for my tastes, the Woodfire Grill was never on par with Anthony's Homeport, it was always good food. However after having not been there for some time, we went for dinner on saturday. For 24 dollars, I recieved the most insulting meal I've ever had. A tiny steak that was overdone, asparagus that was overcooked and squishy on one end, undercooked and hard on the other (how the F do you even manage to do that?), Overcooked flavorless scallops that were falling apart into dehydrated, chewey chunks, and some rice pilaf that had a good flavor, but which had obviously been sitting for some time. All of this was slopped on a plate in the most haphazard way possible, with steak fluids all over the edge of the plate. It looked like they chucked the 4 pathetic scallops onto it from accross the room in some kind of accuracy contest. My fiancee ordered the shrimp cocktail; fair warning the shrimp coctail is really a bowl of chopped up celery, intermixed with a few meager previously frozen, pasty shrimp. the dish reminded me of what it might look like to put ET and a Gremlin in a blender on "chop". We always have a good time here. Usually the service is good, some times excellent, some times you find yourself looking for your server. We have been here several times, if we do have any problem they are good about fixing their mistakes. Anthonys is a local "chain" with 19 locations. If you get on their mailing list they will send you some promotions at certain times of the year that are pretty generous. The promotional dinner might only be good from Sunday to Thursday.... or whatever the conditions are. Considering that it is easy to spend $15 to $20 per order (just the dinner) I would say that A's Wood Grill needs to take another look at the plates leaving the kitchen..... is the product visually appealing? Garnish? color? flavors?....... with just a little bit of attention this place good go from 2 star to 4 stars. We normally sit in a booth and they are ok. This time we sat at a table and the seats were not so great. Made sitting uncomfortable. read more

Ok. This is going to sound really petty but I feel it's worth mentioning. My wife and I went to Woodfire for some lunch and just after walking through the door we were greeted by the host so we stopped to get seated. We asked to sit outside but the patio was closed because of the threat of rain later that day. Ok, no big deal. Simultaneous to this a trio of older gals walked right by us and they told the same host that they were going to sit at the bar. So we followed the host to what I presumed would've been a seat near the window as we were not going to be able to sit outside and I could see the host was heading straight for that type of seat. Just as we approached the table, that trio of older women walked right in and sat down at the table! The host, I could see, was obviously embarrassed but sat us across from them. I'm not sure why but that bothered me IMMENSELY!! Why would you seat us if the bar area is open seating!? Why would you seat us in the bar area at all!? Our lunch was fine. A Little pricey but good. As we sat there I noticed of the 5 or 6 parties that came in after us, not one of them were seated by the host. Just a bit bazar and unorganized. Get it together people! read more

We used to love Woodfire, what happened? The last 2 times we've gone it's been terribly disappointing. We ordered an order of ribs and the rotisserie chicken. Ribs were uninspiring and coated in thick sauce, and the chicken was dry. Then we had a gift card and a $20 off coupon so figured we'd take the whole family and give them another shot. Service was super slow and I'm not even sure we had a dedicated server. Again food was just ok. I don't think we'll be back. There are way too many good places in Everett to justify going to Woodfire. read more

Anthony's is listed in Apple Maps as accepting Apple Pay. After we ordered our drinks I asked the server about it just to double check. She said "I've never heard of that, let me check." Sure enough, the manager never heard of it either. Customer service has to be excellent online as well as at the restaurant, no exceptions. read more

I haven't been to this place in a couple years but I just have always talked good things and remembered it being good food. The quality of the food was really great, the service was really good overall everything was nice. That isn't the case for last night, we went out to eat dinner and I remembered they had this wedge saladAnd was looking forward to that , to find out they no longer do it just put it on regular Romain lettuce but still used the fixings. Which was fine.Once we ordered our main dinner which was the three-course entrée it took them an hour to get to us, and the waitress serving us barely came by to check on us. Once we started eating our food I realize that the quality was no longer there it was almost as if I was eating at Applebee's.I got the steak and calamari which the calamari tasted funny and super rubbery. My bill came out to $104 but it definitely wasn't worth it . I probably won't come back again. read more

Very good service! Our waitress was extremely attentive and kind. Food overall was satisfactory. I brought my mother here for her birthday dinner. But I was still recovering from my wisdom teeth surgery. However the waitress worked with me and was able to provide a Mac and cheese without the seafood and a cornbread pudding that both were delicious! read more

Where to start...? early on a sunday eveing I arrived with my boyfriend and his grandparents from out of town. We were in the mood for some seafood and had decided to go where we were told the seafood was good. when we walked through the doors there was no hostest to seat us. the bartender had to help us and the busboy was the first to attend to us, since our waitress was no where to be found. the appetizers were delicious and came in record time and our meals shortly after. the kobe beef burger was delicious but the rest of our food all had issues. the steak and prawns came without the praws. the ceaser salad came with a steak knife so i could cut my own sald and the dressing was watery. the primerib and praws had an abundance of issues. the potatoes were far beyond over seasoned with garlic, so much so that it hurt your noise. the praws tasted like they were old and soggy. the prime rib was undercooked and had to be sent back and we ended up ordering a new piece of meat all together which again was undercooked (raw is not well-done) and had to be sent back. at this point we are close enough to the kitchen to hear the chef (very clearly and loudly) throw a fit about the "picky old woman" at our table. at this point we had had it. we got the check and left shortly after. I will give it to our waitress for being so wonderful and patient with us. she was an absolute delight to be served by! id come back for a kobe burger and her. read more

I haven't been here in a few years until just now. My ex wife and I came here often. I walked in at 4:18 pm on a Tuesday. I sat down at a table in the bar area. A bus boy quickly brought me a glass of water. I looked at the menu for a few minutes. I am definitely not impressed by the smaller bar menu and the obvious bump in food prices. I put the menu down and after a few more minutes I stood up and walked out. I'm sure I would have gotten service at some point but I just wasn't feeling it with the lame menu, increased prices and no waiter/waitress acknowledging my presence. I just saved 20 dollars or so and I didn't need the extra calories anyway. Also, I know where not to take a date now. read more

I love the Woodfire Grill. My husband & I go here frequently. We love their happy hour; it's 3:30-11:00, every day so that's perfect with several choices of foods & drinks. Their dinners are also excellent. Mon.-Fri. from 3:30-6 is their 3 course special. It includes a salad, soup or appetizer, entree, & dessert! All for $26. Their staff is excellent in the bar & the restaurant . Super friendly & aim to please! The view of the marina is a plus as well as the cozy fireplace! I'd call us regulars.. read more

We had to ask for: wine menu, food menu, our wine, the manager at the end of the meal to explain the sourdough hockey-puck that was served in lieu of bread. This place USED TO BE GOOD. Now it's just lousy food & service with sad 1980's décor. First the manager tried to placate us by comp'ing the wine and bread (WHAT? You charge for BREAD?) I told her we were never coming back. They were allegedly short-staffed and couldn't get any other staff to come in on their day-off...speaks volumes about employee loyalty. Manager then comp'd the entire meal and tried to give me a hug...really? I explained that you can't "un-ring the bell", "un-dent the car", and finally "G-d won't take this negative customer experience from me, put it on those who so richly deserve it, and give me another evening to re-experience." My absolute favorite happy hour ever. Crispy Calamari, Super Bay Shrimp Cocktail, oyster shooters, Roasted Garlic Cheese... delicious. I am a huge fan. Woodfire Wednesdays are a must.
