Went there for lunch this past Thursday. We ordered(lunch special) two huge slices of pepperoni pizza and a soda for $5.49. I'm serious, one slice is a meal for an average person. The pizza was delicious, you could tell by the flavor they use quality ingredients. It was delicious and the service was friendly and prompt. My advise to pizza lovers is this: take a break from the normal fast food pizza chains, spend a couple bucks more and enjoy a true Italian pizza made with the finest ingredients. read more

This is the second time I have been to Anthonys. First time the service was terrible, food ok. I have had better Pizza. I have heard lots of radio advertising in the past few weeks so I though, well maybe the service is better. WRONG! we went in tonight after the dinner hour, plenty of seats available. So we sit down, no one says anything to us. Two waitress behind counter looking at us as we enter, no one says a word. We sit in a booth, and wait and wait and wait. I watch the same two girls look at us two or three times. One of them takes care of a walk-in picking up their pizza to go. The other stands there, not walking over to us, to ask if we need menu, drink, nothing. we wait another 5 minutes and nothing, Now there is a 3rd waitress and she does nothing either. Went in with my family last night, we were greeted as we entered and quickly seated. I am very impressed with how stunning the place looks. I love the attention to detail. The staff is excellent and very attentive. We ordered a large Manhattan pizza, which was amazing. The thin crust plus those meat toppings were excellent. What a fantastic addition to Palm Coast!! Compliments to the chef/owner, Anthony for inspired cuisine. My absolute favorite is the eggplant lasagne...makes it so good every bite is tastes like a corner piece! The salads are enormous and my son loves the zeppolie. I'm from upstate New York. One of the things I hate about Florida is a lack of decent Italian food. I knew from the moment I sat down and ordered the pasta fagioli, this was going to be a good find. We ordered also a caprese salad, calzone, and chicken parm. The calzone was GIGANTIC!!!!!! Tomato sauce gets an A+. Delicious. Service was wonderful. If you're lucky enough to be there on a night they have Rice balls make sure you get one. We will be back. So happy to have this place around. read more

TERRIBLE!!! Do not go to Anthony's Pizza!! First we waited a half an hour for our pizza, then it was RAW. They made a second pizza and it was under cooked. It had so many soft under cooked spots our party of three only ate part of one slice each, told the waitress to throw away the rest. When she brought the bill I asked her to get the manager to make an adjustment on the pizza. The manager comes out and immediately says "here's the deal you will pay this bill or I will call the deputies". No apology for the first raw pizza or the second terrible pizza. We paid the bill in cash ( even still leaving a tip for the waitress) and as we were getting up to leave he comes out and shouts make sure they paid that bill before they walk out the door. We were driving home from a trip back to Jacksonville on April 17th, and stopped in Palm Coast. We just missed places closing by only a few minutes. Anthony's Pizza was more than accommodating. They stayed open a few more minutes to make us a pizza. It was some of the best pizza we've ever had. That says a lot, considering I'm a jersey girl! The customer service was above and beyond. Have been there now 3 times, love their Margarita Pizza. If you like your pizza with a perfectly crispy crust this is your place! If you have never had a brick oven pizza, you don't know what you're missing. On my 2nd visit there decided to try dinner and had the Veal Parm. Absolutely delicious!!! They have one of the best sauces around town. I'm bad on names and can't remember her name but she was pleasant and very attentive. Oh and I forgot to mention their fried mozzarella, not your typical frozen sticks most places serve, they have the triangles so you know they're fresh so yummy!!!!! read more

I've gone to this restaurant twice before deciding to review it. I'll start by saying that I've read some of the other reviews, and found some to appear agenda driven and others to be overly generous. I decided to try this restaurant, because I saw an advertisement that says they use a brick oven to make their pizza. Anyone who has ever had a brick oven pie, knows it makes a huge difference in the dough texture, how it cooks, and how it tastes. As far as I know, them and Carrabba's are the only two places in Flagler County that have a brick oven. Although, if I remember right, Carrabba's has an open face, wood burning, brick oven; which is actually a better oven for making pizza. However, Carrabba's isn't a pizza place, and their focus is more on entrees. In my first stop, the restaurant was clean. There was not a lot of people there, which that is a bit worrisome. When I say "not many", I think there was only one other customer in there when my party walked in. It was sit anywhere you like, and then we were promptly greeted by the server. We always start with an order of fried mozzarella, because that usually tells you how serious a place is about the type of quality they want to be know for. This is the only place I've been to, around Flagler, that makes their own fried mozzarella (Mozzerella Fritta on the menu). They're described as "half-moon shaped", but you're really served three triangle shaped fried mozzarella in a nice golden-brown breading. Their marinara is more sweet than spicy (which I personally prefer sweeter sauce, but I like them a tad bit chunkier), and is more on the light and smooth side than chunky or the heavier pasty sauces (I hate sauces that are heavy with the paste). This was more than a pleasant surprise, and instantly raised my party's expectations for the pizza we had ordered. We had ordered the "Margherita Pizza" and had added pepperoni on to it. It did take a while for the pizza to come out, maybe 30-40 minutes; that doesn't bother me, as long as it comes out good. That pizza, was by far, the best pizza I've had in a long, long time. Every part of the pie was like a perfectly orchestrated symphony of flavors and textures. The freshly chopped basil on it gave it a nice refreshing kick as well. The dough was nice and crunchy, which you don't get from conventional ovens. The pizza was about as close to perfect as it could get. We then decided to finish the night with a cannoli. The party was split on the cannoli, but all agreed it was good and well worth the price. They are generous with the chocolate chips and syrup, and the shell had a perfect crunch. The filling is where the partly split. I felt it was good, but I like the cheese filling to be a bit sweeter; the Cannoli I had at Delcato's, in Ormond Beach, I thought was better, but the cannoli was quite a bit more expensive and their food wasn't quite as good. The service was adequate for Palm Coast; I felt they could have been more attentive, especially for how many people were in there. However, they were pleasant and attentive enough that it didn't hamper my experience. On my last visit, my party and I decided we'd try the entrees. Along with ordering the Mozzarella Fritti (A must order every visit for me from now on), we also ordered the garlic knots as an appetizer. The garlic knots looked good, although they looked more like dough disks than knots. I wasn't really crazy about them. I found them to be cooked fine, but bland. They probably need to soak in olive oil, garlic, and parmesan for a while to being served. I won't order them again, and I hope them improve upon them and decide to offer a couple with the dinner entrees; otherwise I'll never try them again. The party ordered chicken and veal parmigiana. They're served with choice of soup or salad, and choice of penne or linguine. There were no real complaints about the salads. They make fresh croutons, which have a light and toasty texture, but are light on any seasoning. I had the caesar salad, and thought their dressing had a real nice flavor; but it's more on the light and vinegary side than it is creamy, if you prefer one style over the other. We shared the chicken and veal, and both had this flavor profile that is noticeable in any good parmigiana and is absent in just about every parmigiana I've ordered at other Italian restaurants in and around the Flagler and Volusia area. That is, they add lemon to the egg wash that they use when they bread the chicken and veal. It really gives it a pleasant zing, and amplifies the flavor of the cheese and sauce. The pasta side was served al dente, but I found mine to be lacking or have been cooked in water where not a lot of salt was added. That isn't a huge concern, because it's better to have to add my own salt than to have send an order back because it was over salted. Overall, it's excellent but not perfect; however, it should really be more busy than it is. read more

As a vegetarian I never lack for tempting and wonderful dishes from which to choose. A very comfortable place where we meet up with friends. Highly recommend this gem in Palm Coast. This place has good food and is great for lunch, since it's near my office. I'm vegetarian and there are several options here for me. Earlier this week I tried the Bruschetta appetizer and it was just right for a light lunch. Very good! I also like the Athens salad and the zucchini pizza. read more
