Since it's on Thayer it's going to have more offerings geared to the college students. This CVS is closer to my home which makes it my CVS and sometimes I'll get the odd craving to make cheap macaroni and find myself at 11:30 at night parking on or around Thayer for a quick food run. Speaking of parking, it's not easy finding a spot as they don't have a lot and trying to find a space in that area is almost futile at certain hours of the day.

He said don't bother, there's nothing I can do for you. He was rude and unknowledgeable and unwilling to check with Walgreens. I had to go home and straighten it out with Walgreens on the phone myself. They informed me that all that was the matter is that I have to use the points in $5 increments. You can almost never reach the pharmacy on the phone at night. When I need a refill, Walgreens always says we'll contact your doctor but they never do. I have to contact the doctor myself. The price of food items and other stuff is crazy. The parking lot is always dirty.

Yes, items like laundry detergent.... Weird. I have seen stores that keep expensive OTC drugs or expensive make up items under glass or plastic doors, but never seen detergents. I thought this was really odd and funny at the same time. The store itself is small, not as big as other ones in the Providence metro area, but they do have 2 self checkout counters in the front of the store.

I switched from CVS to Walgreens a few years ago because the cost of my medication was cheaper. For quite awhile I had no issues. I even went to Walgreens for my Covid 19 shots and boosters as well as my yearly flu shots. My love affair with Walgreens ended a few months ago when suddenly my medication was not available for refill because it was back ordered. This may not be the pharmacy's fault but they just didn't seem to care! I'd spent literally 45 minutes to an hour on hold waiting to talk to someone and then get the run around. At one point the prescription was sent to a different Walgreens (by my doctor, Walgreens would not do this for me) that had the pills in stock. After driving out of my way to this location and waiting 30 minutes I was told the pills were actually expired and they couldn't fill it! I tried to reach out to someone about all this poor service by posting on Twitter and was sent a DM immediately asking for my contact information. I supplied it and was told I'd get a call in 2-3 days. Well folks, that was 3 months ago and no one has called. I've reached back out to the Twitter account and they apologize and say someone will call, but they don't. Long story short, when I can find a pharmacy with a competitive price I will be leaning Walgreens and not looking back. I'm not sure if any of them are better, I mean I left CVS for a reason, but I'm ready to try someone new. Fun fact: when you are on hold with Walgreens their automated system plays you 18 seconds of hold music and then gives you a 8 second voice recording explaining how important your call is to them. The system the REPEATS the SAME 16 seconds of hold music followed by the same 8 second voice recording. Try dealing with that for 45 minutes waiting to talk to the pharmacist, I dare you!! I wanted to puncture my ear drums!!'

I like spicy, so that's something to be aware of...the main thing about these spicy snacks is that sometimes they are loaded with sodium, so read the labels and get whatever works best for you. TERRIBLE PHARMACY EXPERIENCE…read more Absolutely horrible experience at this pharmacy today. The technician, who told me her name was Deema (I'm not sure of the spelling), was rude and had an attitude from the beginning. Neither she nor the pharmacist appeared to be wearing a name tag, so I'm not even sure I have their names spelled correctly. I was told my prescription would take 20 minutes, mind you it's a pre-packaged medication And the pharmacy had no line but whatever so I said to her I would shop around the store while I waited. I came back at 1:33 PM and the pharmacy gate was closed. I could see the employees behind the gate, so I asked what happened to my prescription and explained that I had been waiting. They told me they were on break. I asked if they could please give me my prescription since I had already waited the time I was told, and the pharmacist, who I believe was named Sargis, responded with an extreme attitude: "Ma'am, come back later. We're closed for break." Then he claimed that he had paged/called me twice. I strongly dispute that. I was in the store the entire time and was never properly called or paged. If I had been, obviously I would have gone to the pharmacy. What bothered me most was the complete lack of professionalism and accountability. I followed the instructions I was given, waited in the store, and came back when I was told to. Instead of simply explaining the situation and apologizing, I was treated like I was the problem. Completely unacceptable customer service. I will be taking this up with CVS management/corporate and will not be using this pharmacy again.
