Very friendly, fresh food, large portions, reasonably prices. Make sure to get the fried bologna sandwich.

The vocalist had a gorgeous voice and played the accordion with fast and nimble fingers! Overall a very lively performance with audience participation appreciated! Elizabeth was our waitress and brought our appetizers of cheese curds, giant pretzel and sausage sampler which was delicious. We were also served piping hot bowls of creamy mushroom soup that were so tasty! My main entree of wienershnitzle Ala Holstein was hearty and had a side of buttery spatzle and pickled red beets that paired lovely with the crispness of the shintzle. Another from our party ordered the gravy laden sauerbraten which was another standout classic! Dont miss the traditional dish of Bayerische Schweinshaxe especially if you are hankering for 3 pounds of roasted pork!! The flight of beers was a neat way to sample a few different beers! After you found your favorite beer you could then order a tall glass and continue your beer journey!!! If you are looking for old world German fare then come to Edelweiss and taste the comforting foods of Germany in a charming village restaurant atmosphere!!!

Was looking for German food again when I came to Chicago for a work trip. I already tried the one…read morein the loop so I ventured out to this place. The reviews advertised authentic German food. As a German I had to try it. The potato pancakes were a good start, tasted like mom used to make. The Platter had a lot of food. I don't know what region this place is from, the sauerkraut and Blaukraut were not Bavarian, the Spätzle felt ready made and not home made. The Bratwurst was too fine for me, I'm thinking north German. The strudel was good tho. The service was fantastic! From host to server they took care of me and made sure I wanted for nothing, so I can't complain there. Decor wise this looks like what you'd imagine a German restaurant looking like in the US. Lots of banners advertising beer and German flags hanging on the walls with a collection of steins everywhere you look. Overall it's not "authentic" for me, but the food tasted good and the service was exceptional.

First time at Americanos. Not crowded for a Thursday…read moreafternoon at five. Greeted by two of the staff. Friendly and polite. We talked long with the bartender and a young man that worked there. Order a few drinks and talked with these two guys for fifteen minutes or so off and on before we even ordered anything. Just felt right, small conversation great atmosphere. We each ordered the three taco plate. I had one fish taco, one elote taco and one Arrachera taco. My wife hard three pork belly tacos. Hard to say which was out favorite because they were all equally as delicious and bursting with flavor from the fresh ingredients. We will be returning soon the March to try their corned beef and leprechaun margaritas before it's over. A must try restaurant in Norwood park.

The vibe was very comfy, not too upscale- think "chillaxed" vibes. I came with 2 girlfriends and we each had a different type of margarita. I got a pitcher of the cucumber margaritas and it was my first time having a cucumber margarita, and it DID NOT disappoint! Very might recommend! The bartender, Sean/Shawn was amazing! I also got to try their seasonal blood orange margarita, which was also delicious! We had the flautas appetizer and for my entree, I ordered the chorizo taco and the pork belly taco. I didn't even make it to the pork belly taco because I was full off the flauta and chorizo taco lol. The hot sauces that they bring to your table in the squirt bottles were bomb dot com!! Spicy enough for some "flava" but not burn your bottle hole spicy. Overall, I highly recommend this establishment for the vibes (I requested they play Bad Bunny and they obliged- zero questions asked and no pushback) and the food! If you're ever having group get together or small party, this place would be great! They also have brunch on the weekends which I will bring some moms back for, for some "Momosa" Dates! Americanos- you may as well give me a special discount code or something, at this point.. you'll never get rid of me!

I think is comparable and similar in pricing. Also had a dog Chicago style. This comes with fires rolled in the packaging and similar to Jude's. But I would pick this one over G&J because it's dressed better and the dog had a great flavor and a snap! Great fries! I may have found my new go to for dogs and beef when in the area. Come check it out!

I've been coming here for a very long time. I would love to give it 5 stars, but here is my beef…read morewith this place (pun intended)! Their beef is very inconsistent as far as the flavor goes. There are days where you understand why it's one of the better beef's in Chicago, and other days where it's really a disappointment! And my opinion seems to be shared by a lot of people I've turned on to Bob-O's over the past few years who share the same sentiment. Why is it that some days, the beef taste great, while on other days it's bland and tasteless? Most of their competitors tend to be pretty consistent, but not here. I've noticed that the later in the day that you order from here, the blander it seems to get. It's as if the beef juice is getting more watered down after each and every hour. Not to mention, the beef has shrunk lately. Not very cool considering about 2 yrs ago, they were voted the best in Chicagoland.
