Went as a very large group for my niece's birthday. Reservations are confirmed in advance so you know exactly what you're going to be expecting when you get there. Most large parties are sat outdoors but... In late November we were in a very well heated patio. Service is wonderful. Drinks came out very timely and food was absolutely amazing. We celebrated our anniversary there and sat on the back patio. Service was friendly and attentive and the patio was large and inviting. I had the teriyaki steak medium, but it was not as tender as I would like, but tasty. The teriyaki was not overpowering like some I've had. My wife had chicken fettuccine and loved it. It had a nice smoky flavor and and a generous portion. Dessert was spiced rum bread pudding with bananas foster. FANTASTIC! Overall, very good. We will return and try something different. read more

Service was excellent. Menu was inviting, and the dessert were fabulous. I went there because they sell Lemon Fish, or Ling, what they call Cobia. Probably the best tasting fish in the Gulf. Ours however was not fresh ( I call it iodine tasting) plus it was served blackened, which hides the real flavor of this fish. Nice atmosphere, but wasn't worth the drive. I'll have to try and find Cobia somewhere else. Sorry to post this because it was in hopes I had found a new "go to" restaurant. read more

Came here to celebrate with beaux. We sat outside on the patio. It was a humid night but they have massive fans outside that definitely keeps the air circulating. Promptly sat and took our drink orders. Ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer; you're going to want to order this. Great app. More spinach than cheese which is so good. And you can tell it's fresh. I ordered the special. It sounded good. In writing this review, I realized he never told me the price, which is why I was shocked looking at the receipt. Blackened salmon with crab meat on top on a lemon butter sauce with fried asparagus. I also got a side Caesar salad which the addition of a red bell pepper on there gave it a kick I didn't know I liked. Not pictured was a key lime pie to go which I had the next day which was also pretty good. I took off a star because I ordered a drink; I never got. And the chips for the spinach dip has this like tajin on them which I didn't really need. Regular tortilla chips would have been great but that's a personal preference. Anthonie's Market Grill is where the world of fine dining and country atmosphere sweetly embrace. We've visited several times and it's always been amazing. The staff is always so gracious and helpful. The food is always amazing and cooked perfectly. I only wish that my stomach would've reminded me to take a photo of our Pork Ribeyes from last night before we devoured them. I can't recall ever having a bad experience here. Whether that be with our table placement, engagement with the staff, or enjoying our meal. It's always wonderful. The live music is such a nice touch to the overall ambiance. While they have room for guests inside, most guests choose to sit outside. Especially on a night like last night. They've done a great job at remodeling the patio seating. It's looks so great and is super comfortable. While the adults chat the kiddos can run and play in the open field out back. This field also makes for great photo opportunities and has even been known to double as a helicopter park spot, if one is so inclined. While the price is a bit higher than I'd prefer for a casual dinner with the family, it's relatively decent for special celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries. I had been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint! The service was impeccable! Loved the cute outdoor seating and all of the food was fantastic! Live music was great! We ordered a pork belly appetizer special that was to die for. We also shared a Caesar salad and the dressing was probably the best I've had. I enjoyed the teriyaki steak for dinner and added the lobster tail with white wine butter sauce (yum!) and my fiance had the ribeye with Mac n cheese. There was a nice wine list so we had wine and we took home a wonderful chocolate cake dessert. The food was amazing as was the restaurant atmosphere. I only had one complaint and this is NOT the restaurant's fault, but there was a table behind us with a large group and several uncontrolled children (ages 4-10 ish) who were allowed to run around and in between tables and even after breaking a glass and it shattering glass on the guests next to us, the parents refused to take control. When they finally left several tables around us started clapping!! Maybe a note to the hostess would be to seat couples dining for special occasions away from large groups with a bunch of kids Not to mention this is a safety issue for the wait staff carrying full trays of hot food. read more

I wanted to love this place. The wait to be seated was minimal and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was great with live music outdoors and soft lighting. The food was not as good. The ribeye though priced high, was not a good cut of meat. It was undercooked and had to be sent back. It came back overcooked, lacked seasoning and had a blob of butter bigger than the steak itself. The Mac and Cheese was drowned in butter, overcooked and lacked cheese. The Cobia fish and shrimp were good but the Jasmine coconut rice underneath was overcooked and sticky. Sad to say; Anthonie's missed the mark on too many factors to warrant any more than a three star rating. Let's start with not having our reservation on the books. Called months in advance because our table could have been large. Nada, blank stare from the hostess. Thankfully, we had arrived at noon when they opened on Sunday so we were seated. Next transgression was two hours to get our food out (party of 8). My side of spinach stuffed tomato was burnt, friend's asparagus was basically raw, and the women's bathrooms were ahuummm...backed up. My $52 ribeye wasn't worth it. Very little wood flavor; longed for the cheaper and Texas Monthly rated Perini Ranch Steakhouse in Buffalo Gap. Steak was cooked correctly so there's some good news. Mashed taters with the house brown gravy was nice bites. OK, the good news. The pork chop, signature teriyake steak, scampi, alfredo, wedge salad were enjoyable dishes. Service was on point thru our 3 hour dining experience thru our dessert courses. Key lime pie was a miss for the table while the chocolate cake and Fosters style bread pudding had better praise. read more

Been on my list to try and we finally came last night for date night! Perfect spot for date night or a celebration and worth the drive for those. We absolutely loved the patio and the ambiance it had! Currently pregnant so I can try their actual cocktails but our server made me a mocktail and it was very good. Service from our waiter was top notch and he was so kind. He had alot of tables and never missed a beat! Wish I remembered his name. My husband and I loved the food, but will say it's not somewhere I could come all the time for date night as the food is a little pricy for what you are eating. This place is out in the country and there were no signs pointing the way or advertising but as soon as we pulled in we could tell it was packed. Figured it must be great if so many know about it. Always a great experience. Not sure where table bread is sold as an appetizer when scientifically it has been shown to increase spending when given for free, but it's sold here. Definitely try the Stuffed Quail. It's a unique dish and very flavor full. One of my favorite dishes here. I've had the Pork Chops which came with Dirty Rice. The pork chops were amazing, but I would swap out the dirty rice. It was bland and flavorless in comparison to the chops. I've also had the Teriyaki Sirloin which is a house favorite and one of my favorites as well and the $65 dollar steak. Both were great dishes. For drinks, I've enjoyed the El Pepino. It's a spicy cocktail that comes with Tajin on the rim and is a lime accouterment. For dessert I'm enjoy the strawberry cheesecake. My spouse has enjoys the Lobster Mac&Cheese. She has had it several times there and for dessert, her go to is the Bread Pudding. If you don't make reservations, you could end up sitting out which isn't as bad as it sounds. They often have live music and lamp heaters throughout the space. On special occasions they have complimentary valet service. Expect to get a $200 dinner tab with tip. read more

I've loved coming here to this place and have always had a 5 star experience. Today, not so much. $19 Calamri was great but not worth $19. Same quality in Katy for half the price. We had the Pork Ribeye which was burnt and Chicken Fettuccini which had no flavor. I've had the steaks and salad and have always been pleased. We observed a manager/owner not wearing a mask and many staff members just hanging at the front. Our waiter was nice but never offered to refill our drinks. For the money, I'd rather go to Perry's. Easy to find and plenty of parking. While you wait outside there's a mini bar that you can buy drinks from which is nice. They have a huge outdoor seatings area and most of it are covered. There's also tables in the grass area so if you're wearing heels that section wouldn't be good do you. Im glad we sat outside because inside can get smoky due to the openness of the kitchen Our waiter was attentive and funny. The owner also came around to greet the guests.
