I called about once a week starting in Dec when the xrays had not been forwarded to OFA (orthopedic foundation for animals) and not posted to the OFA website. OFA reported that they had never received them. They take a message but never return your call. My girl is a champion and I need those xrays as part of her breed health testing. It is now almost May 2026 and they have never been completed and sent in. I would never recommend this vets office for these vital exams. I am planning to make a formal complaint.

We also really appreciated the cameras. It was hard to be apart from our cat for several days, but being able to watch him on the screen made it easier. The office is very organized. They tell you what's going to happen when it's going happen and they stay true to their promises to call and communicate with you. We were very pleased with the service!

I was told the CT would take about 2-3 hours so I left to do a couple errands and came back and waited in their lobby. I was there as bit over 4 hours. The staff was really friendly and it is a nice, quiet facility. The doctor reviewed the procedure and let me know they did see something that needed a biopsy, which sunk my heart. He went over a few possibilities and explained in detail what could happen that night, such as a bloody nose, which I am so grateful he told me because when it happened, it didnt cause panic. I did send an email the next day with a photo and a question but did not get a response. I lagged on writing this review, as I did get the results back and my cat has cancer so my world has been turned upside down, so I forget the name of the gal at the front desk that I chatted with a lot this day about cats and birds and other things, she was really nice. My cat seemed comfortable in the exam room which made me happy.

We called some animals hospitals around, they either didn't accept us or charged us at an unacceptable rate. In the end, we found the Animal Diagnostic Laboratory. Dr. Shahriar took us and he accepted our request to do the cremation after the necropsy. This made us feel kind of better after a mournful day. We brought the cat to the lab the next morning. We didn't put his body in the fridge overnight. If you are in such a situation, you need to put the body in the fridge. Dr. Shahriar promised to give us the result in 2-3 weeks and will keep us posted. We got the necropsy report in time. Dr. Shahriar performed pathology analysis on most of the body parts and found the potential cause of the cat's death. He pointed out a deadly disease that we had seen our cat had the symptoms before. We agreed it is very likely this is the cause. We feel very sorry to the cat that we neglected his symptoms all the time. In the meanwhile, we were very impressed that Dr. Shahriar can find this disease with limited context. Dr. Shahriar is very professional and warm-hearted. We are very grateful to choose his service. The whole process is very smooth. He explained the report to us and answered all our questions. If you are unfortunately in the same situation, we highly recommend Dr. Shahriar.

I scheduled an appointment a few days later after his bloodwork showed he should be fine with anesthesia. I brought Jack in at 8:30 and I was able to pick him up at 3:30. Dr. An called after Jack was sedated to let me know that his teeth needed to be extracted. 6 teeth! Jack did great and he is acting like a puppy again. He's able to eat without pain! While we saw missing nails and a few small cuts (it's clear he was fighting for his life) our cat couldn't walk on his front leg or allow us to touch it. Rushed him over to here and he was seen immediately. They completed a medical exam for $200 and didn't recommend x rays because all the bones were intact. He had an abrasion on his left armpit and they prescribed him medications and antibiotics. I appreciate they didn't try to upsell me on x rays (that would have been $700....) or even a rabies shot (which I thought was weird and I had to ask about it) instead told me to monitor him to see if he can walk in the next week or so. He did get pain meds and antibiotics ($30 total). Facility was clean and staff was nice, appreciate them not upselling me on procedures after his exam and gave me an honest evaluation.

This guy sounds good on paper, but my personal experience with him is a Vet who cares nothing for…read morethe animals he's to diagnose. He was used by my regular Vet as a traveling cardiologist. My cat was scheduled for a diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound. He insists that all pets he is to see must arrive at the Vet by 8am although (in my case) he never arrives until at least 12 noon or later. I waited with my cat, a very sweet, calm male cat for more than 4 hours for him to show up (the vet tells me he won't provide any specific time of arrival. Much to my frustration and my vet's frustration, he attempted the ultrasound and "as he was going out the door" told my vet that my cat was too agitated. My vet aid that she would have medicated him so he could have had the Ultrasound, but he didn't bother telling them. My vet suggested that we take our cat to a center that does Cardiac Ultrasound rather than attempt to us Dr. Brewer as this same thing might be likely to happen (it sounds like it's sort of his MO). We agreed that even if meds were ordered for my cat, by the time we waited 4 hours or more the meds would have worn off. If your Vet recommends any cardiac screening for your pet and they have an outside Vet. Cardiologist come in, ask who it is and if it's this guy go to an independent center (like VCA) to get their test.

He's so compassionate when things are tough and scary, and seems to really celebrate with you when there are even small victories and improvements with your pet. The vet techs and front of house staff really make you feel welcome and do their best to answer questions, and even comfort you. I've had my fair share of tears there and all the staff has just been incredible. Shout out to Shana, she's a true rock star in that office! My friends with cats, even if they have a vet they like for their other animals, I rave and recommend Dr. Burner for their cats, it makes a huge difference having someone who specializes in cats, he caught the cancer immediately that my last vet dismissed as a bad tooth. The vet came in soon after and I cannot state how amazing it was to watch. Dr. Nemetz is like the bird whisperer, normally my parrot is so frightened of vet visits. He talked to me about the isues my parrot was experiencing and proposed some things to do. We agreed to do blood work and he was able to check all of her vitals and blood without sedating her - she was so relaxed the whole time and it made me feel really good to be in the hands of a vet who understood birds to help them feel safer even in highly stressful situations. Over all he spent a good amount of time explaining things and giving recommendations. So far my parrot is improving and we will be going back. The only challenge was the price, its expensive. Partly because its such a specialty and small clinic and secondly because he is pretty open with he will recommend any and all things needed to make sure a bird is well. He's very deliberate but depending on the tests and things he doesn't skimp out, for example the blood tests we did were sent out same day and to a professional specialty lab. Other places can do it cheaper in house but as he said you don't get the detailed analysis that way. So yeah, be prepared for the price to be high, but front desk can walk you through estimated costs before you go. If you care about your bird, would definitely recommend him .

He spent so much time with us regarding our 16yo Green Cheek Conure, Eddy, and never made us feel rushed. Dr. Nemetz provided realistic and practical ways for us to improve Eddy's health at home, and that we are not in this alone. His explanations and providing examples of things were thorough and helpful without feeling overwhelming or dismissive when we needed clarification. The best part was Eddy was extremely relaxed and chill while being held by the doctor. The cost of care for pet birds is not cheap by any means, but with Dr. Nemetz's experience, it is completely worth it!
