The people are good who draw blood.. But don't expect friendly hello when you walk in.. The girl at the front desk is rude.

I went to get a blood draw at LabCorp 11180 Warner Avenue Fountain Valley, CA this morning,…read moreSaturday October 10. I was sorely disappointed. They open at 7:30 a.m. The website says beside this date "same-day visits available without appointment" (see photo below). Hence i made the trek from Costa Mesa this morning and waited in line. About 7:15 a snarly woman got off the elevator, didn't look up just walked by us quickly saying "only appointments this morning, only appointments", in a loud unfriendly voice. Not even a "Good Morning". Just before 7:30 a.m. after waiting for them to open with approximately a dozen other people, some with appointments and some without, the door opens and the woman announces that they would only see patients with appointments. I pointed out to her (and showed her on my phone) that the website says they take walk ins. She continue to point to the sign beside the door that apparently says "no walk ins". Then she let me know they had 60 appointments and would only be working for 4 hours. None of that is my challenge, nor if you do the math, does that appear so taxing. She was rude and very dismissive. I along with two others left and rode the elevator together. One other told me he saw it on the website as well. The three of us were fairly disgusted with the interactions. I sure know that if this was the only lab on earth left to get a blood draw done, with that energy, level of rudeness and people who obviously don't like their jobs, I guess I wouldn't every get another blood draw! Good luck to them!

We are both cancer survivors and have to get blood works frequently, I'm grateful daddy is in the WH, I was paying $900 a month premium a month so Newsom can give free health care to migrants. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise, things are getting better since 11/5/2024. I have changed Quest Diagnostic many times, this one is the last time I have to do so, the worst one is next to Fountain Valley hospital, the wait was up to 1 hour, the room was full of migrants they probably had TB or other pulmonary diseases, they coughed their brain out and I was fearful we would both die from caching TB as said above, we are both immunocompromized, btw keep our health care excellence, most cancer patients are dead in Canada, in America you die w cancer and rarely die OF CANCER. The 3 Quest offices in and near OC Memorial hospital, the wait was ridiculous up to 40 minutes maybe 15 min w appointements and you spend 25 minutes looking for parking, this office has been here for years, I can't understand why I never thought about coming here. The tech was quiet but she did her job, it's Ok, I don't need to chat, just get my blood work done and get out fast! I'm totally shocked the results were in 24 hrs, it used to take a week and it was like pulling teeth, I had to call them to demand my results, geez, what was their problem so trust me, my reviews are 100% accurate, the good, the bad and the ugly, I never sugarcoat anything. I'll post this on Google soon, it's not fair the low rating hurting their business. Everything is cool except my A1C, I have been eating too much rice with HAINAN CHICKEN 3X, I usually don't eat rice, bread chocolate, I don't like starchy food in general but the glutinous rice in rice cake killed my A1C, I have to stop any more Hainan chicken rice or I will get diabetes. The parking here is great, plenty of parking, altogether I saved 1 hour coming here.

I asked one staff if it was possible to check in without the insurance card and if they had it on file. She was rude and dismissive but I didn't let it bother me, as it was 7:40am and I'm sure the staff are tired and busy. When it was time for my 10 year old to get his bloodwork, the plebotomist named Zenaib, sat him down and didn't greet any of us. No simple hellos, no smiles, no words of encouragement. Given that children are nervous to get blood drawn, you would think she'd cared a little bit to be gracious in her demeanor. It doesn't end there... She inserted the needle and couldn't find the vein and started FISHING around his vein with the needle. My son was already crying after she fished for the vein 6 times. She didn't care. Again, no words of encouragement! She moved the needle around under his skin NINE times!!!!!!!!! I had to intervene and told her to stop. Had I not, I'm unsure how much longer she'd fish around! Once she took the needle out, she didn't even address my son (who's profusely crying), nor did she give me any directives on next steps. I requested for someone else who's more experienced with the "little ones". The other Plebotomists indicated that they're all "trained" the same, in which I highly doubt. At this point, I had to remain super calm (and nice), despite the frustration, as I wanted my son to have a successful blood draw after the first fiasco. Rita, who drew blood from my daughter attempted one time successfully, so we requested for her to try my other son's arm. She wasn't the most personable person either, but at least she got the job done successfully on one try. I asked another Phlebotomist on the way out how many times they typically fish for a vein before they stop and she told me three. Only THREE times!!! It blows my mind how Zenaib would fish NINE times!!!! Yes! I counted! I would greatly despise that experience for myself, much less for any child! Only 1 out of the 3 Phebotomists here are friendly and personable. Is a smile and a hello hard to come by nowadays? I don't need it as an adult, but when children come in, I'm hoping they would be more gracious to them in the future. I personally would not be back to this location (heck- I may even stop going to Quest in general). If you do go, avoid Zenaib, especially if you bring in your child.

Checking in was a breeze, they have self service kiosks. All questions and directions for a new photo of ID and insurance card were pretty straight forward. I made an appointment for 10:10am and was helped out pretty quickly after my arrival. Appointments are available to make online, walk-ins are welcome but there will usually be an extended wait. Blood draws haven't always been easy for me, but over the years I've been able to hop that mental hurdle. Even then, my heart always beats a little bit faster when I enter a lab. I was greeted and helped by Samantha, a most kind human and wonderful phlebotomist. I think she could sense my nervousness and kept the conversations flowing. She answered all my questions and was super patient. Most importantly she didn't hurt me and she got me on first poke. YAY! My doctor had requested a blood draw and a urinalysis. I recieved an email that my general labs were ready next day. Quite quickly, especially when they average 2-5 days! I did have a specialty/genetics test that promised results in 2 weeks or more. I recieved them right in the 14 day mark! I appreciate the punctuality! From my experience, this is my favorite lab to go to when I need my labs ran. Will be back! Side note, as of right now (April 2026) they are re-doing the parking lot, adding solar panels and coverings. I'm assuming the project goes into the fall. Parking has been crazy. My primary care doctor and women's health doctor share the same lot, it has not been fun trying to park. I'd come at least 15 minutes early!

The job was done but I still haven't gotten the results even after one week?…read more I came here before opening time on a Saturday, hoping to be one of the first patients. Everyone else had the same idea as well. I didn't get my paperwork sorted until an hour post and I had a 3 hour stay here! I didn't get to leave till last 10am... and I came at 6:45am!!! They completely forget about their patients, so I had to remind them that I have certain times that I needed to get my blood draw for my glucose test. Thank goodness they didn't make a fuss. Good thing: I didn't get bruises from being poked 4 times with needles so the techs did a good job. Bad thing: Avoid this place like the plague on a Saturday morning or be prepared for a looooonnggg wait in a stuffy waiting room that spills out into the hallway and out the door. Under staffed! And tiny.

She was required to fast before the appointment, so we came early in the morning before school. We waited almost 3 hours in the waiting room. When I finally asked what was happening, the staff told me they had skipped my daughter because they did not know how to pronounce her name. No one had called us or tried to ask. Another major issue was communication. The receptionist did not speak English, and no one in the clinic seemed able to communicate with us in English. This made it very difficult to ask questions or understand what was happening. After the labs were finally done, I asked for a simple doctor's note for my daughter's school since she missed the morning due to fasting and the appointment. The receptionist said she did not know what that was and could not provide one. Overall, the long wait, lack of communication, and inability to provide basic documentation made this a very stressful experience for both me and my daughter. I wish I can give it 0 stars . I will never go there again !! Horrible experience!!! Bad customer service!!!

So I was told about this Night-owl device, and was not told I needed to download an app. The app would not install on my device. The antivirus I was using said it was a risk to install the app. After I voiced my concerns about this to the doctor on how to fix this issue, the answer I got back was to contact the manufacturer. Also said, "He did not have time to talk to each person about this item, or he would get nothing done." Also, this device had a 7-day time frame to get this done. So I contacted the night owl. Also noted that the device showed up broken but did not notice it until later. The doctor said he does have an at-home sleep study that is an all-in-one unit you use and return. But that was for Medicare, but could have used it with my PPO. Guessing, the doctor saw my PPO and went with this night-owl device with no support from the Office or from their corporate office overseas in Belgium again, only having 7 DAYS to fix it. The only reason I called that number was in Belgium. Their live chat was offline all hours and my submission for help with fixing the issue went unanswered. Email I received later, and I quoted: "I further note that I have requested the deletion of my phone number and not to be contacted over the phone again. This is a valid request under EU and Belgian privacy laws, no matter where you have obtained my number from, nor your personal jurisdiction." Phone number was listed on 4 websites but at least got the ball rolling. In the end, nothing was fixed. So now I am charged 55 dollars for no support from the doctor's office or the manufacturer on how to fix this issue. I had a dispute with charge with my insurance. I went to another sleep study center and let me use the all-in-one unit, not this device that requires a ton of permission to use on a personal device. Background on me, I have been part of, since 2020, 23 data breaches from all businesses, including insurance, medical offices, you name it, so I am picky about who gets metadata, especially something as personal as cellphone data. Would recommend this office If you have PPO health insurance, stay away from this location.
