I don't understand all the 1 star, it's possible the tech working here w low rating no longer works here. We are both cancer survivors and have to get blood works frequently, I'm grateful daddy is in the WH, I was paying $900 a month premium a month so Newsom can give free health care to migrants. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise, things are getting better since 11/5/2024. I have changed Quest Diagnostic many times, this one is the last time I have to do so, the worst one is next to Fountain Valley hospital, the wait was up to 1 hour, the room was full of migrants they probably had TB or other pulmonary diseases, they coughed their brain out and I was fearful we would both die from caching TB as said above, we are both immunocompromized, btw keep our health care excellence, most cancer patients are dead in Canada, in America you die w cancer and rarely die OF CANCER. The 3 Quest offices in and near OC Memorial hospital, the wait was ridiculous up to 40 minutes maybe 15 min w appointements and you spend 25 minutes looking for parking, this office has been here for years, I can't understand why I never thought about coming here. The tech was quiet but she did her job, it's Ok, I don't need to chat, just get my blood work done and get out fast! I'm totally shocked the results were in 24 hrs, it used to take a week and it was like pulling teeth, I had to call them to demand my results, geez, what was their problem so trust me, my reviews are 100% accurate, the good, the bad and the ugly, I never sugarcoat anything. I'll post this on Google soon, it's not fair the low rating hurting their business. Everything is cool except my A1C, I have been eating too much rice with HAINAN CHICKEN 3X, I usually don't eat rice, bread chocolate, I don't like starchy food in general but the glutinous rice in rice cake killed my A1C, I have to stop any more Hainan chicken rice or I will get diabetes. The parking here is great, plenty of parking, altogether I saved 1 hour coming here. read more

The only saving grace of my experience was the kind and patient phlebotomist who ultimately assisted me. I had mistakenly gone to the Warner location and checked in via mobile, only realizing the error when I didn't see my name on the screen. I quickly realized I had actually booked the Brookhurst location on Ellis, rushed over and arrived about 7 minutes late. When I asked one of the phlebotomists (a woman with long curly hair) if she had called my name, she responded with unnecessary attitude: "Yes, we called your name. Are you here now?" Her tone felt dismissive and unprofessional, which only added to the stress of the situation. Thankfully, the other phlebotomist who ended up helping me was kind and patient. read more

The girls here are all wonderful! I'm a hard stick (everyone who draws my labs agrees - whether its a nurse, or a phlebotomist. even the ultrasound techs struggle to get me in one poke (The most pokes its taken was 9 collectively) and unfortunately need labs taken at least once a week if not more. It isn't a lack of skill on their part, its just a lack of cooperative veins on my part.) I've been to labs that had to send me home because nobody could get me in the alotted amount of pokes. But at this location they've always been successful, and they're super friendly. Even though I come back every week and constantly need labs drawn they're friendly, and if one of them struggles to poke me (or isn't sure they can in one poke) they work together to make sure I'm poked as few times as possible. I've been to every Quest in this area (and a bunch of other cities from Modesto to Palm Springs) as well, and I will always choose this one if there's an appointment available. I recommend this location to anyone I know needing labs drawn as well. I'd trust any of them at this Quest (even if I do have favorites) Unrelated to the service - the parking situation is also usually okay. There's a decent amount of spots, including 8 disabled spots as well. There are multiple medical offices (including an urgent care) in the building, but I've never had an issue finding a parking spot although occassionally its a bit further from the entrance. It's easy to find the building, and the Quest office is on the 1st floor and isn't hard to find from the entrance. read more

I went here last October/2024 for bloodwork. Turns out one item could only be tested on blood drawn before 9am. I said I'll come back another day. I don't want to make two copayments. I just live 2 blocks away. The tech there said no problem. Don't make an appointment, just walk in. She could take my blood now and I can just walk in to have the early item drawn later. There would only be one copayment. WRONG. I tell this to the billing dept when the bill comes and they said for me to have the lab note this in my account and they would remove. I go back in person (no one answers phones there) and they say there is nowhere to note this in their system for billing to see. 10 phone calls, multiple emails and now they have sent it to collections. I have had cancer 4 times, paid Quest literally thousands of dollars in lab bills for biopsies and bloodwork and this is the hill they want to die on. Go to LabCorp. I'm telling my oncologist to never send any of my orders to Quest again. read more

Came to this location as a walk-in since it was close to home. Checked in and was told to wait in building lobby and they would call my cell. They also said it'd be a hour wait. After an hour of waiting, I checked in with the same receptionist. She told me they called me and left a message. I NEVER received a call or voicemail. She told me they cancelled me in the system and I would have to check back in and wait. Total BS!!! Lab techs were friendly and professional. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I hate leaving negative reviews but I came here with my three kids for my daughter's blood test. I came early about 30 min because we were out running errands. They went on to help 5 people that walked in after us. When I finally asked what was going on, she said they didn't know if they had butterflies and they are looking for them, and if not, they will send me somewhere else. Excuse me? Make me wait 30 min with three kids without communicating? Then she said that she was on break. I don't know what the other lady was doing? It was like excuses after excuses after excuses. And as I'm writing this, I'm still waiting to see if they have the butterflies. They still haven't told me....going on 40 min with antsy kids. And I have a freaking appointment!!!!!! read more

My husband and I had a 7:30 AM appointment. We were taken back within 5 to 10 minutes. Both our phlebotomists were excellent. My husband had Debra who is friendly and very skilled- he said "no pain". I had Julian. Usually I need a butterfly, because I have very tiny veins. And I hate blood draws, they make me very anxious. But Julian was confident and skilled that I didn't need a butterfly, and that he would be able to be successful on the first draw - And he was and there's no bruising! On a sidenote, we have been going to this particular quest for years. We have always made appointments and the phlebotomists are great. Parking is easy, it's easy to find, The lobby is spacious and clean. I always check in through the link that is texted to us which is awesome and we just come in and sit. Have never had a problem with a customer service/front desk. Although now with the kiosk and e-check in, they don't have a live person in front. Totally recommend this location read more

I'm really shocked at the low reviews of this location and was planning to pick another site to do my lab work; however, the location and online booking system seemed far too convenient for me to pass up, so I decided to go for it and thank goodness I did because I had a great experience. I not only got in and out of the appointment within 10 minutes, but they conducted many safety precautions that made me feel safe. The front office staff kept wiping down all the surface areas and there were areas with social distancing markers for people to stand 6 feet apart. Additionally all staff members wore face masks and face shields, and required all people entering the office to wear a mask. On my visit only one other patient was there, so it seemed to me that they were limiting the number of people inside the office at a time. As for the lab work, my phlebotomist was kind and quick. She filled 4 bottles of blood and before I knew it I was getting tapped up and ready to go home. Should I need to return, I wouldn't hesitate to come back here! read more

Needed to take a urine drug test for an employer. Appointment was for 9:40am Checked in just after 9:30am I was asked for my drivers license around 9:40am. Waited in the waiting room until 10:15am Whole process took about 5-6 minutes. I felt that this process took longer than it should have. I did not get any bad vibes from the girl who was manning the front desk; may not be the one all the bad reviews mention. The waiting room was pretty full when I first walked in; I assumed they were mainly walk-ins. There's a TV monitor in the top right corner of the room that shows the number of people being serviced and how many people have appointments in the next hour. The "serviced" number was always (1) even though there appeared to be two nurses in the back and one at the front desk. Just before I was finally called back, one of the nurses asked the second nurse who was sitting in her little cubicle, to help with patients. Not sure what she was doing in there, but I ended up with her. Nothing special about my interaction. She spoke very quickly, and did not seem personable. I don't care much for small talk but it was obvious that she was trying to get this over with as quickly as I was. I suppose I should appreciate that; but after waiting over 30 minutes past my appointment, what was another few minutes? Overall, my experience with setting an appointment at this location did not go the way I had planned. I don't mind a short wait but as I was leaving, I felt like I could've just walked in during my lunch and it would have taken the same amount of time without an appointment. Again, my interactions with the staff here were not necessarily bad experiences. Maybe they are short staffed here and each of the nurses are really feeling it...? Regardless, I will probably take my chances at a different location should I need another appointment with Quest. read more

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. If you try to do walk in you will wait 1 hr plus. They might as well advertise we do not do walk ins. Wish I had selected a different location for my drug screen. Absolutely atrocious. Only 2 people were working and the check in is a robot. Lettice is so sweet and nice! The front desk are so welcoming and friendly. I arrived too late to do a urine drug test but Lettice was very helpful and gave me a paper with an address to another facility with extended hours and weekend availability. She also was very good with the blood draw. I felt very comfortable coming to this location even though I passed by about 4 other Quest locations closer to my house. This location wasn't inside a hospital which made it more attractive. read more

Had an appointment at 11:15am and only waited 10 mins to get my urine tested. My visit took only 15 mins total. Friendly service and the facility was clean. I definitely would advise to make an appointment. The walk-ins had to wait over an hour when I was there but they can text/call you if you need to be somewhere else. read more

I can see why the reviews are so low. Went in for my glucose test for pregnancy & the lady who helped me was kinda rude. Took my drink & waited almost the hour. She took me to the back & I waited another 5 minutes because that's what I had left. She came in verified my info like they always do. She cleaned the area & stuck me with the needle no problem so far. She fills the first little vile tube & takes it out pops in the second one. Second one didn't stay & popped off falling on the floor. Asks me to grab her another one. Says gray so I reach & am able to grab it. Pops it in AGAIN it pops out falls on the floor. I turn around to grab another gray one & when I turn around she picked up the one from the floor & used it. It was filling up by the time I turned around with a new one. I am shocked! It took me a week and a half to get an appointment which was at 10:45 am. I arrived at 10:35 and waited in the waiting room until 11:15 and was called back to room 1. I waited there another 5 minutes and then Serra came in and said, "We cannot do your tests because we close for lunch and we don't have time to do it before lunch." I told her that I took the morning off work for this appointment and she said, "We have nothing to do with appointment scheduling." Stay away from this place..!!! read more

Quest Diagnostics appointment system is a joke! First of all, I went on their website telling me there is 0 minute wait for walk-ins. So I went in, there were about 8 people in front of me, fine! Obviously the wait time estimate was a fake! So I checked-in. After one hour waiting there were still had 3 people in front of me? Why, because every person with an appointment got to go in first, so I was put at last when everyone came in for their appointment. Finally, I knew my hand started shaking due to fasting and I had low blood sugar & low blood pressure, there were still 3 people in front of me, I knew it's time to get something to eat! So I had to leave! The staffs were incompetent and didn't care about the patients. Just don't go to Guest Diagnostics without an appointment. Stupid lesson learned. I understand to make appointment means priority, but the walk-ins queue shouldn't be put into the last priority, you have to check the walk-in's wait time and set a maximum wait time. As I am typing and complaining to my friend, she waited 3 hours at a different location! I can't believe that! For a low blood sugar person like me will definitely die at the lab! Came in to get a blood test. I have a fear of needles so I was definitely nervous. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly. I was seen within 10 minutes of signing in. I did have an appointment. The labotomist, Danielle was extremely kind and professional. She has a gentle hand so I barely felt the prick of the needle. Highly recommended. read more
