I wanted something warm and creamy, with alcohol to drink without coffee but they didn't have anything. She said she got me and they created a spiked hot chocolate drink that was so delicious. They may add it to the menu. It was a busy morning but we didn't have a long wait to be seated. It was raining so we opted to sit inside but if you're not afraid of a little sprinkle outside seating is a vibe. We dined at Another broken Egg on Sunday and the server was great. She greeted right away and when we asked questions she guided us to what she thought we would like. The shrimp Benedict was really good, but my friends omelet was over cooked. It was pretty much brown see photo and the avocado appeared to be cut either the day prior or earlier in the morning. We didn't say anything which we should have , but the chef needs to realize if the omelette is brown than yellow then maybe throw it out and make a fresh one. We came late morning (11AM ) during the week and were seated promptly since it was fairly empty (off-season) and given a nice table. Coffee was AWFUL. I tried one type and my wife tried the Columbian (brand new pot) and both tasted like essence-of-coffee. We both ordered Traditional Breakfast and side of 1 pancake. I liked my Andouille sausage but wife had slightly soggy bacon. We were already ticked-off by the lousy coffee and the pancake was raw in the middle. The server took it off our bill without fuss; thank you. Server was counting register so we flagged down a different server to get our server's attention and close out our visit. The menu has a lot of great options with just a few things missing (we're looking at you, Hashbrowns). The Salmon Benedict was pretty good (bagel vs. English muffin approach was interesting, though not sure needed) and the veggie omelet got a thumbs up. The breakfast potatoes they use / prepare aren't remarkable and could probably be subbed for a better offering, but it's not a total deal breaker. Took my husband for his free Veteran breakfast. His meal was just ok but served cold. It was French toast, eggs, bacon. We didn't complain. I ordered Hash Brown Benidit. It came out served with hard boiled eggs, barely warm, cold fried potatoes. The server was busy but I could tell they had no food runners to serve plus they were short staffed. My meal was over $16 so yes I asked for a hot meal with the eggs cooked right. The server was nice and brought back hot fresh potatoes one egg was cooked almost right the other was over medium. My point is if your serving breakfast and are short staffed the least management could do is make sure your food is coming out fresh and hot. The last time I picked up a cinnamon roll to go it was so rock hard I couldn't reheat it or eat it. This will be the last time we eat at Another Broken egg at Grand Blvd. Management needs to step up and help staff or they just need to close this location. Walked in the front door. The hostess was returning. Frustration already on her face from whatever happened before we walked in. We requested a booth motioning to the full booth section away from front door. She went looking, none available there so I said we would take the half booth down there, pointing to back side of restaurant. She went and cleaned it off and two others beside it. Back to front cleaning off 2 right by the front door. She grabbed 2 napkin sets and put them on a table by the door where we choose not to sit with people conversations, wild or cranky kids in our face as well as some larger customers behinds when wait line builds up. I requested to be seated at the table area I pointed at, we chose not to sit by door. She twisted around with a huff and puff, went to table, slammed our napkins with no menus onto the table. I told my husband we were leaving. Attitudes like that make me overly concerned of what may "be added" to my meal. We are locals but won't be back!!! We are now sitting in DoNut Hole, greeted very joyfully, asked for preference in seating...nice. Table was ready and the manager just happened to be the one taking care of us. He was also able to keep visual tabs of the actions of his employees that were all hoppin busy and super friendly. We will be back here!!! read more

We had a great experience for breakfast here on a weekday while on vacation. Our waiter, Riley, was excellent and provided outstanding service. All of the food was very good. Once upon a time, we would go to A.B.E. 3 or 4 times during our Destin week. We'd go less to this one because of distance, but with the subpar experiences at the Legendary Dr. location, we hoped this old standby would be better. I liked my pumpkin Belgian waffle, eggs & bacon. First time trying it & it was good. Wife's favorite for over 10 years, the Floridian crabmeat omelette, was the continuing disappointment. She's very discerning of changes to it and notes a new "sauce" that it had this year. Very different & definitely not better than the original version. Not sure if the local cook has changed it to use what's on hand, or the recipe has been formally changed to cut costs or something else, but with several disappointments in a row, we'll likely be trying more of Destin's other breakfast spots. After reading some reviews about service I was a little apprehensive about trying this place but times are tough and we're in a time where it's hard to find good help. Let me say that the first greeting when entering left a lot to be desired by the young lady who greeted us. We seemed to burden her with our choice to sit outside. I think most people probably would have left a bad review on that alone. Within minutes of being seated we were greeted by a young Asian girl named Sarah and she was fantastic. She was vibrant, smiled and took our order and she gave us updates of how long we would be waiting for our food. I think I'm total it took about 20 minutes which was perfect since my wife and I ordered mimosas. Food came out perfect and it's one of the best omelette I've had. My wife got the Shrimp Benedict which had a creole flavoring and was equally delicious. I will say that the home fries left a lot to be desired. Very bland and just not on par with the rest of the meal. I don't believe it was the kitchens fault I bow they cooked it but rather conceptually just needs more thought. Chose this place because you could get to it by golf cart in Sandestin resort area. Was not disappointed in the breakfast! We got the biscuit beignets out of curiosity, and boy did they taste good! Nice and crispy on the outside, with a nice doughy inside. The dip, which was honey-orange marmalade-like, was also really good. I had the 'Guava Jam' French toast. It was a generous portion (4 big slices of bread) with lots of jam. Not too sweet. My wife got the southwest skillet and said that it was fantastic.
