Now mind you there were a lot of empty tables with "reserved" on them at that point. Fast forward an hour later, because we didn't get a txt from them, we went in to see what the story was. They proceeded to tell us it would be another 30 minutes. Also the seats that had "reserved" on them were still empty! They said they would take care of us, and walked us over to the bar side, and told us we would have to stand at the counter to eat! I was fuming. The other three from my party walked out, while i proceeded to tell the manager this was extremely poor service! All he could say was they were busy. I pointed out the empty tables that were empty when we first walked in an hour ago and are still empty! They finally gave us one of those tables. We were out in an hour and guess what ...... there were still empty tables with "reserved" on them! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone! My suggestion is to go someplace else!! Like I said, our waitress was extremely nice and couldn't apologize enough.

I can count on one hand how many times I have made a negative post such as the one ahead, but the…read moresituation my wife was in this morning is the type that I cannot be quiet about. This morning, while at Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips, my wife, our barely 2 year old son and a friend were told by who I assume to be one of the owners, that if she was not able to "quiet" my child down, she would have to "take him outside" for fear that he make start to "rile other kids that were there up, and we can't have that". My son, who, again is barely 2, sat in his high chair the entire time, threw not one piece of food on the ground, and sat as politely as a 2 year old could, occasionally cheering "YEAHH" whenever our friend or my wife did something he found entertaining. YES his voice was elevated the few times he cheered, YES there were SIX other children of varying ages in the restaurant all making noises (as all children do), YES it is a very casual restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, and YES there was a grown man sitting at a table near them talking on the phone, on speaker I will point out, for several minutes. So to say that both her and our friend were shocked would be the understatement of the year. We have visited this restaurant on countless occasions, with friends, with my wife, with my children, purchased freezer meals from them, done our parts of supporting a small local business, all to be told to quiet our child down who was making far less noise than many other people were in this restaurant. My wife spent most of her young adult and adult career working in and managing numerous successful restaurants spanning an almost 11 year period. I am appalled, disgusted, and saddened at this clear lack of compassion, professionalism, and customer service. And we wonder why moms are fearful to take their children out in public these days. We will unfortunately not return to Momma Rabbits, ever.

9 ROMEO members ventured out to First Watch today, and for many of us it was our first visit. We…read morequickly discovered that First Watch doesn't believe in a shortage of choices. The extensive menu made deciding what to eat almost as difficult as deciding where to go for lunch! Our group sampled quite a variety of the menu, including three Bacon Maple Croissant sandwiches, three tacos, a Pecan Chicken Salad, two different orders of pancakes, and a bowl featuring barbacoa beef, chips and eggs. Our waitress, Meleva, did a great job handling our party of nine. She managed to put together a table for us and squeeze us in so we could get started. Fortunately, the table next to us emptied about 20 minutes later, so our temporary seating arrangement worked out just fine. There was one order that got messed up, but that one really can't be blamed on the waitress. There was a little miscommunication while we were trying to figure out what I wanted. She moved on to someone else, and when she came back around, I had completely changed my mind and ordered something entirely different! So, in this case, we'll give the waitress a pass. The Food Overall, the food was good, with ratings ranging from a 7.0 to a 9.5 on the ROMEO scale. The Pecan Chicken Salad received particularly high marks. The average ROMEO rating was 8.05, which translates to approximately 4 stars on the Yelp scale. Personally, I wasn't especially impressed with my Bacon Maple Egg sandwich. The egg itself was very good--fluffy and covered with cheese. The bacon was good, there were some nice hot jalapeños, and the croissant was decent. Then came the maple syrup. I like maple syrup as much as the next guy, but putting it on a croissant sandwich just didn't work for me. In my humble opinion, maple syrup belongs on waffles or pancakes--not in a breakfast sandwich! The maple flavor just seemed to take the sandwich downhill. ROMEO Verdict Food: 8.05 / 10 Service: Very Good Menu Selection: Extensive! ROMEO Rating Range: 7.0 - 9.5 Yelp Equivalent: 4 Stars

That last dish, and accompanied warm maple syrup, prompted me to get a blueberry pancake, as I did initially want something sweet. Overall, I'm glad we came here over other options.

They opened at 11:00 and we walked in at 11:01, anxious to get our fish! The waitress was great and set us up quickly at a table and took our drink orders and brought us Guiness and teas. She heard all the chatter about the Fish N Chips and the next thing she said is "We don't have any beer batter yet, so no Fish N Chips! Immediately there were groans and moans. We had our beer and had come here specifically for the Fish N. Chips. She went back to check and returned saying "Yep, no beer batter so no Fish N Chips". Several of us joked that we may as well drink our beer and go next door to the Mongolian Yummy Stir fry place. We now started browsing for other menu items that we wanted. After about five minutes she came back out and said they could make up some batter but didn't know how long it would take. (How long does it take to stir up beer batter?). We said we'd wait. In the meantime two of our guys placed orders for the Scottish Eggs and Onion Rings for the table. They were both excellent. Three of us ordered the Fish N Chips and two had decided to go with the Bangers and Mash. One order for the Beef Eater sandwich, one Club Sandwich and one Rueben Sandwich. The food came out and the fish n chips were great. Not greasy, crispy, large haddock slice with great french fries. and green peas (which were barely luke ward, almost cold). The two guys with the Bangers and Mash loved it..Great sausage and the potatoes were excellent with mustard. The Rueben was great and also the Beef Eater. The waitress did a great job, checking on us throughout lunch. All in all, what started out as a questionable lunch turned into another fine lunch for the ROMEO group. The rating was 9.18 on the ROMEO scale...5.0 on Yelp scale. Only issue was something was wrong with the tea. It almost looked like water. Maybe because we were the first group in and the tea had just been made.

The British Bulldog was really cool! Even though I had lofty expectations, it definitely managed to…read morelive up to them! When the British Bulldog calls itself a "pub", I feel like it's one of the very few places that takes that moniker to heart. Even though it's located in somewhat of a strip-mall setting, once you walk inside the building, you're amazed by the authenticity of the inside. Personally, I loved the brick and wood that made up the interior, which gave the restaurant the realistic "pub" vibe that I mentioned earlier. Furthermore, I loved the framed, and hanging, soccer flags, which was a marked contrast to the professional and college sports paraphernalia at your typical American sports bar. I walked in kind of late, and just sat at the bar, which still made for a great experience. Even though it's an English restaurant, they still had a lot of the popular local and domestic beers, to go along with the more English-themed beverages. I asked if they had any "sours", and the bartender was kind enough to offer me a sample of the two (2) sours that they had on tap, and let me choose the one I liked the most. The aforementioned bartender was great, and I overheard him offering some folks from out-of-town with recommendations for nearby late-night spots and high-quality local joints. Finally, my simple order of chicken tenders and fries was pretty good, and I thoroughly enjoyed their steak-cut "chips," or French Fries. All-in-all, I waited too long to try out the British Bulldog, which was a great pub experience that definitely lived up to my high expectations. I'll definitely be coming back soon, and in turn, would recommend it to anybody else!
