Food: 4 Affordable: 4 Customer Service: 5 Location/ Parking: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Reservations: NA This cookie shop is conveniently situated on Sunset Blvd, and near the downtown Lexington, SC shopping area. We stopped by this location a few days ago, and placed an online order. Their online application was very easy and convenient. Their customer service was very friendly and professional. We decided to try 4 different cookies so we could get a true accessment of them. All 4 cookies were very good and very sweet. I'd also recommend that 2 people might want to share a cookie, because we thought that they were pretty bit. Which probably explains why the average cookie is $3 each.
So I tried this place yesterday. It was okay, I feel it has a nice design and atmosphere. The scenery was very nice and it has a cool concept. Their cookie display was very helpful and made it easier to see the size and design of the cookie. It really helped me and my family figure out which one we wanted. They also sell really good drinks I recommend trying those. They have frozen lemonades and Boba. I got the pineapple lemonade it was pretty decent. When it came to the cookies they looked very cool however they lacked flavor for me. Most of them tasted like plain cookies with no flavor in my opinion. Like they all tasted the same, it is like they taste doughy with no distinct flavor. Like air. It is still a cool experience and if you want to just look at the cookies then I would just do that. The flower wall makes for some good photos. And their drinks are still good. This is just my opinion of course you will have to see for yourself it may be just fine to you. This is not to bad mouth the business what's so ever. This is just my honest opinion.
Stopped by with my parents in the morning to pick up a few different options. Let's be real, you really only need 1 at most because they are so good, you won't stop eating them! My favorite was the birthday cake but I did enjoy the others. Pick up earlier in the day as they will quickly run out of your favorites around 4-5 pm. Best when they are warm! Definitely must try if you're in the market for a new sweet treat or guilty pleasure!
I had to take a break mid bite and sip to proclaim to the world about Mingos. How did I get here? Well, somehow Yelp knows me and Mingos popped up in my Yelp search or suggestions at some point in the last 8 weeks. I haven't had an opportunity to pick up some boba since I've made my way into the Columbia area. I needed to run some errands today and decided to venture to Lexington. A boba fix seemed like the right decision, and Mingos was right next to Home Depot! Yelpers, let me tell you. I came here for the boba. The lavender milk tea specifically. Their menu now has avocado. That distracted me for thirty seconds. So I stuck to my lavender love. Then I saw the cookies. Seeing is believing that you need one in your life. These are some thick cut cookies. Apple Crisp is the current special, but I'm not a big apple dessert fan. I thought I'd go for a chocolate themed cookie. But wait, Havana Oh, La, La locked eyes with me and it was a match made in the kitchen. Guys, I haven't even finished the cookie (although I took a few bites since I started this review) but I had to let the world know to come swing through Mingos. How's the boba you're asking, come get some. Tasty milk tea base and perfectly chewy boba. I'm going to make sure I come back out here!!
The cookie that I ordered didn't look like the display but it was good. I'm glad I chose to have it heated, the hot caramel was the best part.
If you want to try some gourmet cookies and unordinary drinks; then you should stop by Mingo's. Mingo's has a wide variety of cookies, and they are not like regular cookies. I would say they are probably 3 times bigger and have unique favors. Some of the cookies flavors they have are Red Velvet Cheesecake, Havana Oh la la, Fruity Pebbels Cinnamon Crunch, Reese's Nutter Crunch, and they also have special as well. Mingos cookies are a little pricey, but you won't regret it at all. The cheapest cookie is $2.50 and the most expensive is $3.75. At Mingos they also offer milk Tea(Boba) and Fruit Tea, coffee, and lattes, but in my opinion they are a little pricey. The Milk tea comes in two sizes, regular $4.95 and large $7.15. This includes 1 or 2 milk tea flavors and boba flavors. If you wanted a fruit tea regular cost $6.15 and large $8.15. This includes tea flavor and boba flavor. Coffee prices range from the cheapest $1.95 and the expensive is $3. 25. One aspect of Mingos that I really like is they have a rewards program. With their rewards program you can get discounts and free cookies or drink as well. All you do is sign up for free and type in you phone number everytime you go. If you are apart of the rewards program Mingos gives you a free cookie on your birthday(Birthday Cake Cookie). Mingos has a very friendly and clean environment. When you walk in there is a couple of tables were you can sit at. When you get to the counter they have a display of all the cookies they have available for the day; which is very nice. With all that I said in this post; I would definitely recommend to anyone that they should go check Mingo's out one day.
Had my first bubble tea experience recently and had a craving for another so I gave this place a try. The shop is absolutely adorable! The smells when you walk in are heavenly. The staff was very helpful explaining which flavors are more sweet versus sour. I also love that there are two size options. I went with a raspberry tea with strawberry bubbles, and it was super refreshing! I also grabbed two cookies. A pumpkin spiced snickerdoodle and a Clemson cookie for my Tiger Fan husband (*sigh*). This is such a cute place to stop for a sweet treat. Will definitely be back!
This place is very cute inside! The service was great and the brown sugar milk tea was delicious!! We got a yummy mummy cookie (red velvet) and was delicious! Would recommend this place and would stop in again!
Everyone needs a happy place and Mingos has been such a place for me. Almost daily. (Dude, it's kind of embarrassing, but I really don't care.) Mingos is winning the cookies and boba game in this town. Let's break this down, shall we? The cookies: These folks put a lot of love and ambition in their gigantic homemade cookies. Notable faves include Nutella Overload, Red Velvet Cheesecake and Havana Oh, La, La with guava and cream cheese. I've collected these cookies into my bribery arsenal to get my kids to do homework and their chores. Works like magic. Speaking of magic, let's talk boba aka tapioca pearls aka bubble tea. Do a quick Google search and discover a whole subculture of what you've been missing in your life. My usuals are the original milk tea with boba and the lychee fruit tea with boba, half sweet. I do declare bubble tea is the concoction for world peace. Why? Everyone is nicer and in a better mood while sipping this stuff. On top of all that, the cafe is open late to help satiate my sweet tooth hankering well into the evening hours. This is a major biggie. Bless you guys for staying open while others shut down. Mingos, take my money!
Cashier was nice!! I got the pink lemonade Boba didn't get any sweeter w/ mango boba, delicious! A little tart but again I didn't add sweetener lol. Will be back to try others!!!
Found out about this place from a Columbia foodie group and thought I'd give it a try. My rating is based off the customer service, atmosphere, location, and for the quality and appearance of the cookies. The cookies were all great and very large in size. Definitely enough for sharing. I chose four cookies- Chocolate chip, Red velvet, Cookies and Cream, and one with fruity pebbles. My total came to $15 for four cookies. All were great and worth the price! Will be back.
I mean what else do I need to say? Cookies and Boba tea. Place has a good assortment of boba flavors. Also, serve cookie and bubble waffles with various toppings.
A great spot in Lexington for your boba fix, the combination of good cookies and boba makes this more of a 4.5 but I think the boba could be improved!

Mingos cookies is 1000x better than the national pink box chain cookie. The staff is friendly and this has consistently been a go to spot for personal events as well as corporate events. They come through every time! The owner, Daniel is especially great. Cares not only for his business but his community and bringing quality business to the Lexington/Columbia and Irmo area. read more

Super cute place, I got the birthday cake and red velvet cookies with a peach and strawberry tea. Not a fan of the red velvet only because of the cheesecake filling. The birthday cake one was delicious! I'll be back for sure! read more
