The coffee was great! Really cool options and creative drinks. The service was a bit slow but only because it was so busy! The building itself is cool if you're planning on sitting and drinking, but if you're taking your coffee to-go there's not a lot of comfortable standing space. I did a search on Yelp for coffee and patio and this spot came up! I'm so glad it did. Came here for breakfast and coffee and to get some work done while hopefully enjoying the sunshine (visiting from Wisconsin where when I left it was snowing). They don't have a full breakfast menu but do have a variety of pastries and I was happy to see they weren't all sweet but had some savory options as well. I got a rosemary cheddar scone and a honeysuckle latte to go with. The scone was outta this world. The rosemary was fully present and paired perfectly with the creamy sharpness of the cheddar--it was spot on perfect. The honeysuckle latte was beautiful as well. The espresso was rich and smooth and went well with the lightly sweet honeysuckle. The service was lovely. It's an order at the counter situation. You then wait for your order at the pick up counter and find your seat. The seating is plentiful. They have seating in the area where you order, a separate dining area in an adjacent space and a lovely shaded patio out back. Get to it! read more

Great coffee shop in the Cayce area. Nice indoor area with plenty of seating as well as an outdoor area with seating. Parking is adjacent to the building as well as across the street. The staff was nice and the place is pretty clean. They have a seasonal menu which is what I ordered the smoked maple bourbon latte. I believe the gentleman said the sugar was smoked in a bourbon barrel. I almost ordered the sweet potato pie latte until he said that about the bourbon barrel smoked sugar. The latte was delicious. Excellent coffee! I got the honey cinnamon cardamom latte- it was perfection. I don't like sweet coffee, and this was not too much. You can tell the espresso is quality and the foam was steamed to perfection! They had been so busy that they sold out of most every pastry- bummer..but I guess we will have to go back to try a scone and almond croissant. OMG, this place is addictive. This is hands down the best coffee we have had, besides our home brew of café bustelo. The coffee here is rich and robust and the baristas are top notch and know their way around this coffee bar. Our group had the Iced Honey Cinny Cardamom with macadamia milk, The Salted Caramel Latte Iced and Iced Coffee with fresh vanilla infused simple syrup. No detail was not well thought through, to create perfect coffee alchemy. The staff here is amazing. I like my coffee shops like my coffee; minimalist, top notch, and appealing to the senses. I have no shame in having a crush on this place. It's like seeing a celebrity in person when you're in middle school and afterwards your heart is never truly devoted to another. Such was that moment when I stepped through the door of a coffee shop so near a local hardware store that I could have been randomly hit by a wrench. The aesthetics were present and the lullaby of coffee beans grinding filled the air alongside the aroma of espresso shots being pulled and a pour over slowly brewing. I may have blushed, I'm not for sure but I know my ability to decide must have remained on the sidewalk. I wanted to order everything. But alias, I stuck to my standard first visit order (Americano) and added a small coffee (Ethiopian-light roast) because, well who needs a reason why? The Americano was their kiss on the cheek. Balanced, properly roasted, and a medium weight on the tongue. The coffee, well that's something only grown folks should discuss. The fruity aroma had already filled the car (I was getting ready to head back to Augusta) and the palette was tingling with anticipation. Suffice to say it was superb. A personal test though is if I can still enjoy a coffee as it begins to cool (around room temperature). The absence of heat will reveal its true quality. I drank every drop. This cute coffee shop located in Cayce never fails to disappoint! I absolutely love coming to Piecewise, which is conveniently located right by the riverwalk. This is also one of the few coffee shops in town that have a patio with plugs outside, making it a great location to do homework outdoors. The room on the inside is never overly loud either, making it a great work place. I have tried numerous coffee creations from here, and I have loved every single one. I stopped into Piecewise after seeing them on Yelp within a one mile radius and craving a warm drink on a rainy morning. I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and my chai latte with almond milk is fantastic. Very woodsy? Smokey? Not overly sweet at all.
