I've been wanting to try this place for so long. We're originally from Louisiana, and they have a location over there too, but we just never had the chance to go. Now that we moved here and pass by this one almost every day, I finally told myself, okay, we're going! I'm a brunch lover. I can eat brunch any time of the day. And since we're from Louisiana, I've really been missing that Cajun flavor, so I thought this spot would be the perfect fix. We went on a Sunday around lunchtime. There was a small 5-10 minute wait, mostly for them to clean tables. It was definitely busy -- people kept coming in and the restaurant was almost full. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but I didn't see anyone sitting outside. Here's what we ordered: Shrimp N Grits: It looked really good when it came out, but honestly it didn't have enough Cajun flavor for me. It wasn't bad at all though -- I still finished everything lol. Crab Cake Benedict and Brunch Jambalaya (lunch duos): The crab cake was kind of dry. I could taste the crab, but I just didn't like how they made it. The jambalaya was decent, not the best I've had but okay. Sausage Patties: Pretty greasy, but the flavor was decent. Overall, everything was just okay to me. Not bad, not great -- just decent. The service, though, was really good. Even during peak hour, our server checked on us often and kept our waters filled without us having to ask. I'd love to come back and try their Cajun brunch again since that's my favorite, but I do hope the flavors hit a little better next time

I took my mom out to breakfast for her birthday at Another Broken Egg Cafe before a big day out. We had flown in the night before so we were eager to have a solid meal. Our waitress was super nice and since we were the only ones for most of the meal, she was very attentive. The restaurant was clean and very bright. The menu was easy to read and navigate. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. My mom wasn't thrilled with how crispy the bacon was so she gave it to me. I thought they were perfect! Overall, this was a great breakfast for our first day in TX.

I've experienced ABCE in Georgia and Mississippi so I am basing the experience off of my multiple experiences with the other restaurants. To be fair, this location just opened. They have a few kinks to work out. We sat at the bar because it is first come, first serve seating. The bar servers had difficulty attending to the bar customers and filling drink orders for dining customers. They often forgot items we and other customers requested and had to be reminded a few times. Both my husband and I had the traditional breakfast with grits. The grits were not flavorful so we had to add butter, salt and pepper. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary with no bacon but it had bacon so they had to remake the drink. The bartender showed her irritation towards us so we had to correct her for that. She apologized and told us they had a rush of people so she was overwhelmed. This is what I mean when there are kinks that need to be worked out. It wasn't that many people in the restaurant. They need more organization and communication. I will try it again after a few more months. As of today it's a 5/10.

Came here on a weekend to have brunch with a friend. I was greeted and seated quickly. The service here is great, but unfortunately that's where the good things end. I tried the Blackened Shrimp Salad and the Lemon Goat Cheese Pancakes. The small shrimp in the salad were overcooked and tough and the Parmesan pieces tasted stale. I liked the caramelized pineapple pieces, but the dressing did not have enough flavor to save the dish. I ordered the lemon goat pancakes because the combination intrigued me. They turned out to be regular pancakes with chunks of lemon zest plopped around and sprinkled goat cheese. Overall while the staff is nice and attentive, the food isn't worth coming for.

Ordered salted cold brew without whipped cream and add chocolate and espresso to quench the thirst. Dined on a side of French toast accompanying sweet & savory sausage well done. The service was upbeat, youthful and friendly. The ambiance is casual and really relaxed. Could not really hear over all the talking

Classic French Toast, side of eggs and bacon

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and I must say it was quite flavorful. The sauce paired really well with the grits, which were rich, cheesy, and seasoned just right. My friend had the classic French toast with eggs and bacon--nothing too complex, but they executed it well, as expected. The staff overall was average, though our server was personable and made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was pleasant--nothing over the top, but comfortable and clean. One thing I really appreciated was their commitment to customer service. We stayed until around 2:00 PM, and just before closing, someone rushed in at 1:58 hoping to place an order. Rather than turning them away, the staff kindly accommodated them, allowing them to sit and enjoy a meal even though it was technically past closing time. That kind of service deserves recognition.

I haven't been this disappointed in a while. The pancakes, as you can see were grainy and dry. The potatoes were not even hot and they tasted like they sat out for a while. Which they probably did, because it took them 30 minutes to get our food out. I had the hash brown Benedict and it literally had no flavor. It tasted like flavorless mush. My boyfriend who is not one to ever leave food, wasn't even able to finish my leftovers. And his omelette was fishy and cold and he rated it a 2/10. Very disappointed.

My wife and I visited after dining at one in Birmingham. This is very close in our neighborhood so we decided to try them out. When we arrived it looked pretty crowded but we were seating pretty quickly. Our sever quickly took our order and within @ 15 minutes our food came out. I usually get the SALTED CARAMEL SPIKED COLD BREW. Its delicious. We got to meet the manager and he told us he took over @8 months ago. He invited us out to try their lunch. I was impressed with their organization with a full house. We will check them out again.

I feel disappointed in this location- I last visited the Austin one and it was amazing so I had high hopes to know we had one in Houston. The potatoes were soggy, my coffee mug had lipstick on it, and they brought out the wrong pancakes. But once they brought out the right ones they were DELICIOUS. The place had seating in and out and not too busy around 8 am Sunday morning.

It took about three waitstaff to pass us and not acknowledge before we had to ask for help. Our waitress was absolutely horrible. She had a bad attitude from the start. She didn't know anything about the menu She messed our orders all up. The manager had to step in and fix everything. He was good! The food was good. Chicken and waffles: waffle was perfect and chicken and cooked good but there was hardly any chicken in the strips. 7/10 I had a side of brunch jambalaya 12/10 Crab cake beni was good. 9/10

The exterior is just as beautifully decorated. It's clear that chef-owner Lori Pope poured a lot of time, heart, and soul into both the menu and the store's design. The hostess was super friendly. As soon as I walked in, she gave me a warm and smiling greeting. The menu was a feast for the eyes. It had a lot of lovely pictures of the different dishes. I was ecstatic to see that there were so many vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Also, most of the dishes can be requested to be made gluten-free. Big plus. You don't order at your table, instead you go to the counter in the back and make sure to bring the sheet with your table number on it. The gal at the counter who took our order wasn't as friendly as the hostess but she was polite enough to inform us about the 15% charge. The food came out very quickly. Hopefully it's because they had a ton of people working in the back. Hopefully. I ordered the Magic Mushroom Tacos and thought it was a beautiful plate. My favorite thing about the dish is the tortillas. It had a nice light crisp to it and kept all the fillings intact from start to finish. The "Magic Mushrooms" were good but could have been better if the batter were lighter and crispier. The batter was a little on the heavy and dense side for me. I also think the sauce could be even better if it had a bit less oil and a bit more flavor. I really enjoyed the potato slices and the fresh berries were a great way to cleanse the palate. My lunch date ordered the Biscuit and gravy dish and thought it was good. We also ordered a side of the Belgian waffle to share. I thought the waffle on its own was extremely sweet and way too dense for my liking. I am happy there's a locally owned and created brunch place like Harvest Kitchen and will definitely be back to try other dishes. Note: There's an automatic 15% service charge to every order.

The fact that all was done was the delivery of our order and not one check on the table to see how the meal was. They did come by and ask for the dishes, but didn't ask how the meal was. I had been watching this one being built for a while and was especially curious to try it since this location has a full bar, which adds a really fun twist to the traditional coffee shop concept. I stopped in for lunch and decided to sit out on the patio which ended up being the perfect choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, bright, and inviting with a nice open feel that makes it easy to slow down and actually enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in and everything moved quickly and smoothly. I ordered the guava mimosa and it was SO good. Light, refreshing, and honestly the perfect daytime drink. For food I had the chicken avocado wrap and substituted the chips for truffle fries and both were SOOOOO good. The wrap was fresh, warm, and packed with flavor and the truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We sat for about 15-20 minutes before even getting water, and we had to ask for basic things like a fork and napkins (which we ended up grabbing ourselves). The biggest disappointment was the food timing: everyone at my table received their meals, and mine didn't come out until about 20 minutes later. By then, I didn't even want it anymore and just picked off someone else's plate. What I did try from my friend's dish was decent, but the overall experience definitely wasn't a highlight. There were a lot of staff members standing around, so it was confusing why everything took so long. Not somewhere I'd rush back to, but hopefully they improve the service and timing because the atmosphere had potential.

I saw the cheesecake, it was a thin plain slice, so we opted for their seis leches cake. It was not good. It was not soaked enough, very dry. The reason the score wasn't lower was because service was great, the entrees tasted great and they gave each mother a single rose and Mother's Day card which had a pin in it that said best mom ever. Which made my wife's day even that much better. Thank you Chef Casey. But I don't think I would visit again solely based on the deceiving menu and small portions that are not worth the additional cost.

The ambience is wonderful a bit close together. I will be honest, but it adds to the intimacy. I would not call it romantic but I would call it extremely social and a pleasant, pleasant experience. Next is the service and Isabella was our server and she was spectacular. Very patient providing explanations of things, providing an opinion when asked hustling and simply being a pleasure to deal with. I really can't say enough good however I will tell you that this is what you belong for when you pay for food and drink at a restaurant. Next, of course, was the food and drink. Let me just go to the bar which was absolutely perfectly executed. I had old fashions with bullet rye, and I had a pistachio Carajillo for dessert. Every drink was perfect. Then there was the food, which in my case was an Asadero burger, which Isabella described as spicy and she was correct but what a wonderful wonderful hamburger. We didn't go specifically for hamburgers however, that is what I ended up with and I'm very pleased. It makes me know that I will return for other entrées. On top of that I had truffle Parmesan fries, which were spectacular. As I say, I don't know how long this restaurant has been around, but as crowded as it was, I can only hope that it will remain for very very long. It is a wonderful experience and should not be missed.

Menu is also condensed compared to when they first opened up here. It feels like they try too hard to be fancy. I still remember the post COVID days when they tried to have a red carpet and ropes blocking off access to the front door. lol
