My family and I ordered takeout here this past weekend. Food was great. We ordered the gluten free pancakes, which melt in your mouth, the bacquezo omelette, which is also very tasty, the traditional breakfast platter, and a burger plate. Food was really really good. read more

First I will just say put your name on the waiting list before you arrive. Then prepare to wait about 30 minutes to an hour once you check in...lol It's gonna be crowded, just get over it & people watch like everyone else or order take out because the "FOOD IS WORTH THE WAIT!!" This is not a drill..lol "Try This Place!" When I visit SC this place will forever be on my go to list. Even my take out was good. My usual go to has been the strawberry pound cake french toast and maple chicken apple sausage. Both Amazing!! I also tried the sausage & fennel omelette substitute chicken sausage, an english muffin & grits. All also very good. The sauce that comes on top of the omelette has a nice creamy, light pesto flavor. Yum, very tasty. Makes me hungry just thinking about this. Try it, you won't be disappointed. read more

Favorite breakfast place in Columbia. Love the Monterey power omelet and bourbon street pancakes.

This place was amazing! Everyone ordered something different and we all were very pleased (even the 12 yr old). We are from Virginia so we don't have these establishments and look forward to visiting again. read more

The grub hub driver that is used to deliver was Impolite disrespectful and rude.i called this restaurant for breakfast to be delivered to me at 11:10 and expected to be eating my brunch like Order of food by 1130am The delivery driver began calling me and I calculated a new delivery time. As he left to deliver my breakfast he told me that he could not find me. I gave him a step by step list of area landmarks. Calling me back 3 X eventually I decided to cancel this order. As a 70 ye old woman I wasn't able to stand outside waiting to help him arrive. As he continued shouting help me please. At 11:45 in the hallway floor in front of my apt.door was a brown Bag. This was a very poor experience for me at age 70 this driver is not capable of independent delivery. I do intend to block the charge of this order. I am so disappointed. read more

Do NOT come in for lunch if you have less than 2 hours. Arrived at 12:10 They seated us in a section and did not let our server know we were seated. Food took so long that we barely had time to have it wrapped in time to leave to get back to work No warnings on how long it would take... no apparent concern when we let them know that we were on lunch break... 5 minutes AFTER we let our server know that we were on a tight schedule someone dropped by the table to let us know food would be out "soon"... food arrived at 12:42. I will say - the food, when it arrived was outstanding, hence moving the rating to 3 stars. I expect I need to give this another try. read more

Good food. Portions are too big! (Why am I complaining, you ask?) The menu possibilities are amazing. Coffee is good. I can get a drink of liquor? Wow! AND, wait staff is attentive. Nothing to go wrong here! (Always a lil loud, but that doesn't seem to bother any one else but my husband and me.) read more

Great food and customer service. The inside of the restaurant is very clean as well. Also love their mimosas!

Great brunch and breakfast spot! Another Broken Egg is such a cute and cozy, yet modern cafe. They have a very full staff, which allows for super fast service in the waitstaff and the servers. The staff is friendly and efficient, perfect for the crowd this place brings. I don't believe they have reservations, so it's a first come first serve situation. We got here at 9:30 and were seated immediately, but the people behind us had to put their party on the list. By the time we left (11:00) there was a full line. Which is a great sign that the food is worth it! I ordered the crab cake Benedict with a side of cheese grits, I give it an 8/10. It was a solid brunch meal and very tasty but I think it could use a little spice--but I recommend trying it if you're mulling that over as an option. Everyone else really enjoyed their breakfast (pancakes, French toast, and traditional bacon and eggs). They also have pork sausage which is the BEST sausage I've ever tasted. Someone at your table order it. That's an order! Also this place has the cutest mugs!!! Run don't walk here! read more

Ok well I'm sitting in this 8-10 meeting thinking about breakfast. Start scrolling through Yelp and what do I happen upon... lobster for breakfast... why yes, yes please! They give you a generous amount of Lobster mixed in the butter wine sauce that tops this Brie stuffed omelette. The city grits were good, but I don't think it was worth 2.50 extra. Service was pretty good, I did have a few minutes of hoping the waiter would stop by so I could have a glass of water. I arrived around 10:15 on a Monday and had a nice corner table. By 11A.M. it was packed and people were waiting to be seated. read more

The restaurant only had grits which we don't eat. They also had fruit which required an up charge. How can you require an up charge for the fruit when you only had something that we don't eat. No kind of accommodation was made for their lacking. Very poor. read more

Great service! Allen was super attentive and professional. Food was average from what we choose to order. I had the Ipanema Estate Coffee pancakes which tasted great. My GF had the Salmon avocado toast which was tolerable. The toast was soggy and her side of Maple Apple chicken Sausages tasted like it came out of a cheap frozen bulk package. Restaurant was louder than most with the conversations from across the room echoing over each other. Overall great vibes for a get together with family and friends. Food was served promptly and staff was attentive and professional. read more

Don't bother DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! After joining the waitlist at 10:00 am, checked in when we got there at 11, waited over an hour before leaving. Were told 20 min. wait and then told we were next in line. They proceeded to seat two families before us! We walked out. Horrible customer service. read more

Out of French toast server not friendly came in too close to closing time apparently. My daughter's friend just wanted one pancake well they don't do that apparently so charged for a waffle because it's the same price as two pancakes. Key west pancakes ordered didn't come at all like supposed to. They did take it off my bill though. My daughter's first time but she wasn't impressed. Just passing through anyway read more

Waited 2 hours on waitlist after being told it would be 45 mins, seated and waited 20 mins to be greeted. Waiter came over said "I'll take care of you guys" , " I'll be right back " and even left his note pad at our table to prove he would be back, this happened over the course of 60 mins . Didn't get our drink order correct and when asked for a chocolate milk he brought out a half milk , half chocolate cup. Ended up leaving before our food order was taken as he stated " the kitchen is even backed up". Will not be participating in the human experience ever again. read more

I've come to this restaurant several times over the past few months. So I didn't write a review right away. The food is actually some of the best breakfast I've had in Columbia. It's always fresh and right off the grill...just like I want it. I really hoped that the sub-par table service I received was a one-off. Its disappointing to report that the customer service is just not that good. On one occasion I brought my wife and daughter in for a fun breakfast. The restaurant was crowded. Yet, we waited at the front entrance for at least 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Even though several employees looked over and saw us waiting. On that day in particular there seemed to be some in-house training. So I took a mental note and hoped it would be better next time. Not!!! I am pretty laid back and don't go out of my way looking for issues. Unfortunately each time there seemed to be a different disappointment. The floor staff seems busy enough running back and forth. But they didn't complete simple tasks like bringing silverware to the table or topping off my coffee or bringing cream for the coffee. Even a quick "Ill get to you as soon as I can" and a smile from our waiter would have helped. We didn't even get that. My final analysis is come for the food. Don't expect much in the way of customer service...they need some major improvements in that department. read more

Finally got the chance to try this place out; not too busy considering it was a Thursday. Service was good. I had the shrimp and grits which were ok, but I've had better. The lobster and grits were good. The best part of the meal were the beignets, they were AMAZING. The lemon blueberry mimosa was great also. Would come back but would not get the shrimp n grits again. read more

Super good and large menu lots of things to choose from, everything sounded good. The menu was a bit pricey I'd say 11 or $12 for each item. My wife got carrot cake pancakes which had kind of a cream cheese icing. Looked great tasted great but no way you can eat more than half of it. I told her we could take it home for dessert later. That came with eggs on the side and bacon. I got the southwest scramble which had chorizo and green chili peppers in it and came with salsa and guacamole. I also got a side of bacon. We both had orange juice and coffee the bill was over $50. That seems a lot for breakfast, resort prices but we enjoyed our meal and the service was good. read more

The food taste as good as it looks! The service you receive is hit or miss depending on the size of the crowd they have at the time of your visit. My server Jada is on point each time regardless! She ensures she has your order correct , that you have amenities on your table stocked so that you can enjoy your meal without multiple interruptions. Get your eat on at Another Broken Egg but go early to beat the crowd! If not, you won't be disappointed if you have to wait. read more

Came in on a Sunday morning around 10am, there was no wait despite us putting our name on the waitlist on the way over from our hotel. We were sat and greeted promptly. I got an orange mimosa (? 11oz) and a caramel cold brew and my husband got the Irish spiked cold brew. My only complaint is with the drinks, they are very over priced for the size. I'm not sure if I accidentally got the 8oz portion of mimosa or not but regardless it was a good mimosa, standard for sure. My husband said his coffee had no spiked taste whatsoever. If we are ever in the area again would probably skip the specialty drinks all together. HOWEVER the food was AMAZING. I got the bacon chorizo omelet with city grits and a short stack of the lemon blueberry pancakes. My husband got the Lucy omelet, home fries and the bourbon street pancakes. This place easily takes the trophy for best pancakes we have ever had and the omelets were delicious also. Portions were generous and prices were fair. Our waitress was great. Our total bill was just over 70$. Will definitely be back for the food if ever in the area again read more

Great food. Make sure to register online if you're going during the traditional busy times.

I have been here twice and I'd say their fried chicken and waffles are the best that I've ever tried compared to other restaurants. The service is a little slow which is why I give four stars. The best recommendation I have to this place is to go early in the morning where its not crowded, and anything you order here will be absolutely amazing! read more

I'm familiar with the chain as I have visited in various cities but never here in Columbia. I have to say the experience was very pleasant for dreary Thursday. SERVICE: I decided to sit at the bar instead of waiting for a table (social distancing is enforced). The bartender was very pleasant and attentive. She answered all of my pesky questions and made great conversation as I waited for my food. Further, after I had finished eating the manager also checked in on my experience. The service alone is a reason to revisit. FOOD: I ordered a Belgium waffle with spiced apples on top. It's not on the menu together but my accommodating bartender checked and said it was ok for me to have. I got scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. The chicken sausage was good, the eggs were ok as they were not shell eggs. (I'll ask next time for shell eggs) I also had breakfast potatoes with cheese. The potatoes were touching on the not so warm side, but they were palatable. Overall, great experience and I will for sure return in the near future! Keep up this great service CONSISTENTLY! read more

This "hands down" is the BEST brunch spot in Columbia. I live in West Columbia but it's well worth the drive. Thw menu options are more better than expected! And the service even more so! It was our 1st visit there we sat at the bar because otherwise there was an hour wait. The Bartenders Devin and Michelle were AMAZING!!! The mimosas were on point! The blueberry lemonade pancakes and cinnamon roll French toast suggested by Michelle were the most delicious things we've eaten in a long time. The only bad thing i can mention are the hours, i would if were open longer....Lol!! Cannnnottt wait to go back!!!! read more
