Mango Sticky Rice, Fruit Berry & Butter Cream, Iced Thai tea and Yuzu Soda

So lucky to be the first two customers of the day and get the Mango Sticky Rice which is served the first day!

Stopped by to pick up a treat, and service was fast and friendly. I got the butterfly pea passion flower tea and a slice of carrot cake. The tea was refreshing on a hot day, and the carrot cake was sweet and nutty. The cake slice came with caramel topping on the side, but I didn't use it, because it would've made the cake overly sweet. There were a lot of other interesting cake flavors to choose from that I'll certainly try next time! Interior is very quiet and cozy with wifi, great spot for studying or working. Parking is street only, so may require a bit of a walk if spaces aren't available.

I have been seeing post from this coffee shop for the last few weeks I knew I had to come visit. I am a visual eater and just by presentation alone they won me over. First parking was easy and upon entry to the restaurant we were greeted. Aesthetically this coffee shop is quaint yetbeautiful. I ordered the blue sky, which is the blended coconut drink with pea flower extract. it was refreshing and lightly sweetened. My partner got the pea flower coconut water drink, and thought it was nice and refreshing! My other friend wanted a blended coffee, which was not on the menu however they created something that was extra exceptional and beautiful. We also got some desserts to go my favorite Hokkaido cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious! Light and refreshing but not too sweet. This place has won my heart over and I'll surely be back!

Amazing start to the day after a long week on the road.

Amazing latte and the must try blueberry muffin! The latte was perfect and the leaf definitely artistic. The blueberry muffin is bar top notch, comparable to California

Great coffee and dessert spot on Main Street. I ordered a Caramel Macchiato, iced drink. It's so delicious. The barista was kind and attentive. Great service!

This place was cute and a great location to study at. Reminded me of Japan so much. Desserts are heavenly, just the right amount of sweetness and the coffee was perfect. The guys working there were so kind and courteous! Definitely worth checking out :)

I come from NYC so I love me a good cafe. But this place really shocked me. It brings together all the things I miss about NYC. Their thai tea is so delicious and it isn't as sweet as some thai restaurants would make it, matcha is of good quality, and all their desserts are not too sweet which is perfect. The staff are the best and they take their jobs very seriously. The presentation on the desserts is great, you eat with your eyes first! Also love the Italian coffee machine they use, they put in a lot of effort for good quality ingredients. So glad to find a cafe that reminds me of the food in NYC. Please get the sea salt chocolate tart if you go, it's definitely something you don't see around here. Looking forward to coming back and getting the hokkaido cheesecake.

    Great coffee machine!

RUN..DON'T WALK!! This little café is an outstanding addition to the many options in Columbia but this little place is a gem. They invested in a true ITALIAN coffee machine and are pumping out the best cappuccino in Columbia. The tea options are very nice as well with optional dried lemon or lime to complement the teas. The bakes good are all homemade and made by the owner, who is just so sweet! We had the giant chocolate chip cookie, which was thick, but soft, freshly baked and slightly warmed and served on a plate with a fork and a light dusting of powdered sugar. Hubby had the classic chocolate torte to go with his cappuccino. This was served with some light, fresh cream and a chocolate drizzle. We took home a chocolate muffin for later. The packaging was on point and it even included a little container of fresh cream for the muffin! A hand written note to keep it cold is always a plus! This owner delights in having people love her baking, ans we sure did!!. The sweets are decadent but in a European kind of way, with just enough sweetness but not sugar overload. The ambiance was cozy and relaxing with gentle music playing in the background and a nice fresh dispenser of cold water to wash down that delicious chocolate and coffee! What an amazing little place! We can't wait to go back! Her cakes are also available for ordering with 2-3 days notice....great for special events like birthdays and anniversaries or tea parties!

I came back to Café de Thyme to try more of their desserts, and they did not disappoint! I noticed they had an affogato on the menu and asked if they could make a matcha version instead--sure enough, they made it for me and it was absolutely delicious. The cream puff is a must every time I visit--so light, creamy, and perfectly sweet. I also tried the carrot cake and coconut cake this time, and both were incredible. The baristas here are always so sweet and welcoming. The ambiance is cozy and calm, making it a perfect spot to relax with dessert and a drink. This place is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

This is our second time trying this Cafe! The lady who works the Cafe is kind and helpful. She recommended both coffees we ordered with great descriptions of what they would taste like. We got the Thyme Signature and the Yuzu Thyme and they were both amazing. The coffee tasted just sweet enough without overpowering the espresso flavor. We also got both cookies and both were amazing. The sauce that comes with the coconut cake is so so delicious!

Tried out this spot located so close to work as a hump day pick me up. Walked in - place was so cute and quaint. Perfect for a chat/work or study session. I was greeted as soon as I walked in from both workers. They were out of the blueberry cheesecake which I heard was really good and not overly sweet so I went for the tiramisu. The tiramisu was so nice and light - perfect for a pick me up without feeling guilty. I got the Butterfly Pea-Passion Fruit which tastes as good as it looked. I didn't mind the seeds at the bottom, complemented the drink with a nice crunch. I will definitely be back and will not feel guilty if I become a regular. (I ordered cookie to go with my tiramisu for a coworker who was busy - she ate the cookie so fast)

Absolutely fantastic! We have been here 3 times now and we can say without a doubt that's it's been great each time! The combination of music, thoughtful design and great food make this one of our new favorite spots in Columbia.

They were all so sweet and really went above and beyond to make sure it was a high-quality experience. I noticed that they openly advertise that they don't accept tips and have slightly higher prices in order to pay their workers a living wage, and the results were directly reflected in the customer service that I received. As for the food and drink (coffee), that was pretty good as well! While I do wish that they might have had bagels, the croissant that I substituted it for was warm, buttery, and tasty, and it was a nice change from my usual coffee shop meal, as I've only had a croissant a handful of times. The coffee was fine, and I loved how they offered free refills, which I've noticed that other local coffee shops usually don't. Finally, I loved the setting of the restaurant, which gave you the opportunity to either sit inside and enjoy the ambiance or on the outside patio and enjoy some peace and quiet. I also loved the artwork that they had on the walls, which the waitress informed me was painted by a local artist and which you could purchase if you wanted to. All-in-all, I loved smallSUGAR, will be back in the future, and would highly recommend stopping in!

Service was fine. Nothing particularly standout, but smooth and efficient. For drinks, the coffee was average. It wasn't bad by any means, just nothing memorable. Especially considering the price point. Food-wise, there were some highlights. The sweet potato bowl was well-dressed and flavorful, though it felt like it was missing a protein component to make it more complete. The shakshuka was very good overall, with great flavor, though it leaned a bit salty. The biggest issue was the bread portion. It simply wasn't enough for the dish. I ended up ordering an extra side, and while it's listed as two slices, it's really just one slice cut in half. At $4 for that portion, that is very unreasonable. That was a recurring theme. Pricing felt high across the board for what you receive. While the flavors were there, nothing really stood out as exceptional enough to justify the cost. Overall, not a bad visit. Just one where the value didn't quite match the experience.
