The almond croissant is absolutely amazing, I got it toasted and it was perfectly buttery and flakey. I had a dirty chai with an extra shot, it had a deep espresso taste but wasn't too overpowering. The barista was nice and had my order completed quickly. There's also more seating downstairs. Only addition I would like is more available outlets or an extension cord beneath the tables. read more

I had a lunch meeting here, and I have been here in the past but never to eat. It is such a small quaint place perfect for a quick meeting, to grab a coffee, breakfast, or lunch with colleagues, friends, or by yourself. They have espresso beverages, milkshakes, lavender and regular lemonade, and teas. They serve breakfast sandwiches and lunch with small sides such as salads and soups that may vary by the day. They also have kettle chips and pita bread. I ordered the smoked turkey croissant with and addition of roast beef and kettle chips for the side. I ordered the regular house made lemonade as a drink to accompany my lunch. My sandwich exceeded my expectations! It was pretty good and the roast beef was like a real slice of roast beef which I thought was interesting. The sandwich was toasted a bit which made it pretty delicious as well. The kettle chips were original. The lemonade was good as well. I was nervous about the lavender so I opted out. Next time, I am going to try a latte or a smoothie, and I would love to try their breakfast sandwich. Of course given the area parking could be troublesome, but they do have small a back lot. Rob and staff are first class. Been dining here since I was a student at USC and Page at the SC state house. We even visit/stop for lunch every time I'm back in Town for work or play. This place was highly rec'd to me in Sept, so I went. It was gooood. Good, but not great. The parking situation, since it is both downtown and by campus, is freaking annoying. I really like it here, one of the best coffee shop meeting spaces in Columbia (my opinion). It's a bit quieter here, plenty of tables for groups of 4+. Professionals from the State House and students alike are in and out. They serve breakfast sandwiches, grits, yogurt bowls... just enough but more than pastries to get your morning going. They're closed on the weekend which is only a bummer because I'd love to show friends. There is also space downstairs-- not sure how many people know that. Parking isn't great, but I always seem to get a spot. Just lucky I guess! read more

A very nice sandwich shop behind the state house which offers a little bit of different styles of sandwiches that have real horsey sauce or another great sauce. A lot of people come here for coffee that is roasted downstairs I've noticed over the last couple of visits. Wish this spot was opened on weekends and served grits all day long while open as chips and pasta salad bores me to death on menus. read more

You could boot YourMac Pc or IMMAC (slang for this restaurant/coffee joint). There's all kinds of sandwiches.. you can even put apple slices on your sandwich. I tried this for the first time and loved it. According to Google Maps, I am 2,688 miles from Immaculate, or 43 hours of cross-country bleary-eyed cruising (dare you to find me), and all I want to do is remember the Rox Chick Salad Sandwich. However the hell you spell it. The marinated chicken--chunks, not shredded. The roasted peppers. The sliver or two of avocado. The cherry tomatoes. The sliced almonds. Immac is one of the few hole in the wall type coffee shops left in Columbia. They are usually crowded with students, USC faculty and staff, lawmakers, and other state workers who are within walking distance. They have pretty good prices on lunch, which has a creative selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. For a more secluded lunch, though noisy from the creaking floor, head downstairs to the basement. Good vegetarian options, and I can't comment in the coffee since I haven't had any from there in a while. read more

This is my favorite place in Columbia for regular brewed coffee. I usually judge places based on their coffee, since most of the time that's my favorite thing to buy, and even more often it's the only thing I can afford. Immac has quality, delicious coffee that goes well with anything. The few real meals I have eaten there have been enjoyable, with a surprising option of pasta on the side that is warm and delicious. The atmosphere is nice, and there is a crazy busy lunch rush during everyone's lunch break. I have studied for many exams here. Although it gets loud, it is somehow relaxing, and I always get a lot of work done. The interior is fun and interesting. I wish they had mugs for dine-in coffee, because I hate drinking out of styrofoam when I don't have to, but other than that no complaints! read more

Closed on weekends and only open till 6 (with food closing down at around 3), those are not reasonable hours. Especially when this place has the best fucking food I've had here thus far. Cost me over 10 dollars with tax ect The sandwich was thin on the not so impressive meat. Not sure how they heated it. I left hungry. This place was very very good. The interior is very laid back, with re-used church pews serving as seating for tables and local artists works on the wall for purchase. I had the turkey croissant and my wife had the special which was kind of like a tuna salad in sandwich form, and she also raved about it. The staff was very polite, and had recommendations based on your tastes. The place is also great for sitting and reading or people watching, as you get all types in here for a bite to eat or a coffee. They have coffee as well as a fridge with a small beer / juice / pop selection. I was really excited to see they had Jarritos, but they were out of mandarin so I settled for an Anchor Summer Steam instead. I'm so glad my cousin took me here for lunch over the weekend! The interior is so eclectic and homey. I love the wooden feel, and there are photos everywhere of good friends who seem to run/own the whole place. It's fun to see the people in the photos working in front of your very eyes! The service is quick, the coffee is great (roasted in-house, downstairs where there is extra seating), the food is delicious. I ordered the Turkey Green Apple sandwich, which comes with a side of your choice (kettle chips, pasta, etc) and a pickle. The sandwich itself had REAL turkey meat (shredded), white cheddar, green apple slices, lettuce and tomato (I think). It was toasted just enough that the sourdough bread was crispy and the cheddar was melted. I got pasta as my side, and DAMN was it good!! You get a generous portion of whole wheat penne pan-tossed in olive oil, garlic, basil, salt and pepper. Good luck ever eating here if you have a regular job: they're closed at 6 on weekdays and on weekends. I am not sure how they stay open when they are almost never open...
