First visit to this salon for a gel manicure. I didn't make an appointment so i showed up right when they opened. Anny was quick to get me seated and let me know that was lucky because her usual client who comes in first thing had to cancel. Anny did a wonderful job on my nails. I had broken my thumb nail pretty far down and she as able to patch it and make the nail look normal with the gel on top. $25 for a great gel manicure is amazing! And to have such a wonderful, and funny manicurist is even better! Go see Anny! read more

Rarely do I treat myself to a mani/pedi...like MAYBE twice a year. Therefore I don't have a loyalty to any salon. That being said, I decided to give the local spot that I drive past every day a try. I believe in patronizing local businesses! HUGE MISTAKE I went in with the intention of getting a basic mani/pedi and lip wax. I left with only my sad, pitiful pedi which, by the way, was the same price as the "spa" pedi ($18). I paid an extra $5 for callus removal. Upon entering, I was not greeted by the one woman in the shop who was working on another client. After about 5 minutes, another woman came out of the back room and asked me what services I wanted. She was wearing a mask over her mouth and , thus, was very hard to understand. I chose my color and took a seat. During the course of the pedi, I was not spoken to even once and the woman working on me had a sour look on her face the whole time. Disclaimer: my feet do not stink and, despite my infrequent pedis, are not a disgusting nightmare. I just usually polish and trim my own nails. Wish I would have saved the $25 (including tip which was NOT earned). As she was finishing the polish, I inspected my nails and discovered a huge glob of top coat on one. When I pointed this out, the woman tried to add more top coat, remove some of it with nail polish remover and repolish, then add even more top coat. When I finally said (KINDLY) "That's not going to work," she got an even pissier look on her face and reluctantly repolished the whole toe. Oh, and that extra $5 I paid for callus removal...total waste of money. Suffice it to say, I will not be returning to this local establishment. I just got a spa mani pedi with the shellac on hands. Super cute. Affordable, clean and so close to my boyfriend's house. I'll have to bring my puppy to the pet salon next door while can get another mani pedi. Then both us girls will be cute together. Such a hidden gem in Esco for nails. read more

I just moved to the area and found this place on Yelp. I have been to this nail salon 4 or 5 times. Unfortunately, I need to look for another place. I love Anny! She does an amazing job. She does my fills. But there is a second woman who does all the pedicures. She works very hard, but the pedicure is so poor. My nails are in different shapes and just don't have a finished look. They look 2 weeks old in 2 days. The price is great. I would HIGHLY recommend for manicure/fills, etc. Just pass on the pedicure. read more

My friend and I "walked in" for 2 spa pedicures. Excellent!!! I forgot the name of the woman who did the first part and the massage,ut she was wonderful. Anny finished the pedicure with painting our nails. The massage was wonderful and lengthy and there was NO upselling during the treatment. All for $17. We are surely going back. read more

If I would have had anny do my nails maybe it would have been a different story...but the lady who did mine did an awful job. I asked for jsut a top coat on my nails and after one day, I could completely peel the polish off. She didnt speak any english so didn't say a word to me and could barely understand what I wanted. I walked down because it was close to home and I was exploring. Very quiet and relaxing. The lady that did my pedicure was very quiet. They had magazines and things but I enjoyed the silence. Fantastic Acrylics! Wonderful and affordable! Anny does a super job on my fills. She is the only one I have ever had that I can go 3 weeks between appointments and not have any nails lift or break off! Plus, she can do a complete fill in under 30 minutes! This place was a recommendation that came with high praise. During my initial visit, Anny rushed my acrylics & during the filing process, she touched my cuticles twice with the tool & caused pain. I told her it hurt & she never said sorry. She continued to do my nails. After less than a week, I noticed my nails were lifting already. So, I go back to let Anny know. She informed me that my nails are oily & that's why they lifted. I told her that my acrylics were put on unevenly & she was not willing to fix it mostly because I didn't make an appointment. I can understand that. I asked her to cut my nails shorter because the white of the tip was too long & she chastised me the entire time she was cutting my nails! I also asked her for a manicure (which I didn't know was NOT included with a full set. She said that I should have told her to cut them shorter last time & that I wanted a manicure. I told her I didn't know it wasn't included & she kept repeating that I should have told her last time like a broken record. This is horrible customer service! She charged me for the manicure & I paid but I will NEVER go back to her. read more

No big complaints but when I go to get a pedicure it's like a small luxury for me. The things that made this less luxurious were: A dirty counter where I went to pick out the colors, visibly worn out massage chair which was also bordering on uncomfortable, unpleasant (sharp nails in the calf) leg massage went on for a really long time, but the masseuse did not understand when I told her I didn't want anymore massage. The nails looked fine and nobody was rude or anything, but the atmosphere was more like something I would expect in an auto shop reception room or something. It was cheap, but I would not go again because I would have a better time doing my own pedicure at home. read more

I was going to give up on gel nails even though they made my nails strong because I couldn't afford the $30 plus $10 tip every two weeks as required closer to the city. But Anny offered me a deal I couldn't refuse when I come to visit relatives in Escondido every 2-3 weeks. well Anny did my nails herself. I walked in it wasn't busy because it was in the middle of a work day. My dog was next door at the Vet...I had a pedicure and fill and repainted my nails with gel polish. Anny did my nails, she did a great job! theyre not too thick which is ALWAYS the case everywhere else Ive been, she did if fast! it usually takes forever it seems like! She did them just the way I like them. she's all business! Pedicure was great too, Im not sure what the persons name was who did it she was really quiet but should have asked because she did a great job too. We were taken in on time, and received a quality pedicure- they speant about 50 min with a lovely leg massage. It was nice to go to a quiet place, where the help was not chattering away in a foriegn language with an occasional giggle. (I always feel they must be talking about the clients) I was not pushed to upgrade any items, which I really appreciated. My only very small possible negative is that the water used was not warm or hot. The price was very affordable. read more

I took my bridal party here to get our nails done two days before my wedding, based on the good yelp reviews. Within the first few hours after leaving, literally every single one of our pedicures had chipped at least slightly. One of my bridesmaids had to completely repaint her toes herself because we didn't have time to go back. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the women there were very friendly, and my gel manicure held up well for two weeks. Though, they did not have a large selection of colors for gel and I ended up settling for something I didn't truly envision for my wedding day. Also, this is unrelated to the nail salon itself, but when I parked in the parking lot the man working in the liquor store ran out and demanded I move my car away from his business. This was in a nearly empty parking lot that did not have any signs indicating we couldn't park there. Overall, it was a poor experience and I definitely should have gone to a higher-end place for wedding day prep. read more
