I have come here several times & was pleased with the service but this last time was a let down. My husband & had an appointment to get our nails done on Christmas Eve, which was surprisingly busy! We both got gel manicures & my nails were done within 20 minutes, with a hand massage literally being her just putting lotions on my hands & arms. My husband's nails took longer & his were done so nicely! Mine still had nail polish on the skin, which I had asked her to take it off only to find out there were more spots she missed. So I used to go to this salon when they were at their old location and started going to a different salon. On Saturday my nail salon was closed so I decided to go to Ucare at the new location, the salon itself is beautiful and the techs seem to be really friendly. I got a pedicure and a fill. The pedicure was amazing and I have no complaints on that but my fill was done bad. Within 3 days I had my pointer finger break and today had another nail break. When I first left the salon they seemed okay but when I started looking closely I noticed a lot of imperfections like one hand was not double coated with the base color so it almost looked like press on's I also noticed the French tip was kind of sloppy and my nails seemed to be crooked. The nails were also done very thin. I am so sad because I paid a lot of money and there is no reason two of my nails should be broke days after getting them done. I usually am able to wait 2-3 weeks to get my nails filled and here I basically need to go get them redone days after. I was a customer here for about a year and a half and wanted very much to have a positive experience, but unfortunately that was not the case. Throughout the time I went to this salon, my nails repeatedly broke, often shortly after my appointments. I brought up my concerns multiple times and tried to understand what might be causing the problem, but the issue was never resolved. What was even more disappointing was how I was treated when I asked questions or expressed frustration. If I took time to look through color options or mentioned concerns about my nails breaking, I often felt like I was viewed as an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. There were several occasions when staff members were talking about me in a way that felt dismissive and unprofessional and they didn't even try to hide that they were mocking me or talking about me. After finally deciding to try a different salon, I explained my needs and concerns. Since making the switch, my nails have remained strong and no longer break, which confirmed for me that the problem was not simply my nails, it was their poor technique and products. This is one weird detail but for some reason they could never cut my toe nails straight. Multiple people tried and they were always crooked. The new salon I go to always does it straight and I never even had to ask. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after investing a year and a half as a loyal customer, I feel it's important to share my experience. I received such a bad manicure recently that it would be comical except I paid good money for it. Regular manicure and polish - done on a Thursday - less than 48 hours later on Saturday morning polish chipping and peeling away on multiple nails - so much so I had to remove all of it. Update: After posting this review the business owner reached out to me to sincerely apologize for my experience. While I greatly appreciate her understanding my concerns I still believe this review should serve as a reminder to customers to be very clear and communicate what you want with your nail tech. I don't think people should be afraid of coming here based off my review and experience. If you go to any nail salon make sure you tell your nail tech what you do and don't want right when you sit down in their chair. Do not stay silent. Thank you Amy for trying to correct the situation and providing good customer care. The facility was clean and the techs were nice enough. But the work was not great. I got a gel mani and pedi. My pedicure started off good until I felt the tech cut the side of my nail and yank my ingrown toe nail out without asking. My ingrown toe nails use to hurt for years until I STOPPED cutting them and they grew out naturally. Now that it's cut it's been extremely sore and swollen since. I was looking at my toe today and when I when to grab my big toe to inspect why it was hurting, puss came out! So assuming it's now infected from her pulling my toe nail out of the side... I see why it's so red and swollen. The polish job looked ok until a week later my toes have chipped. My nails were average. The paint job wasn't as close to the cuticle as I prefer but good enough. I wanted the design on two fingers matching each hand but my tech did not listen to which fingers I told her so my hands were mismatched. Unfortunately, I noticed peeling and chipping 5 days later on 3 of my nails. I spent $108 dollars and $20 in tip. My toes hurt and look terrible and my nails look even worse. read more

Today was my third visit, and every experience has been great. The space is kind, relaxing, and quiet. The techs actually listen, they're observant, and they communicate well. I've been to UCare Nails a couple of times now and overall, I really enjoy coming here. The first time I went, I had such a great experience--unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the girl who did my pedicure, but she was amazing. The second time, I was helped by an older woman who did a beautiful job laying the polish on my nails--very neat and clean. The only thing that made me a bit uncomfortable was when I politely declined a more expensive pedicure option. I felt like there may have been some side conversation about it, possibly because I took my time choosing a polish color. It could be in my head, but the vibe felt a little off in that moment. My one ongoing issue is that after getting the callus removal treatment, I still notice some rough areas on my feet a couple of days later, like some spots were missed. That said, the salon is very clean, organized, and relaxing. I really like the atmosphere, and I plan to keep coming back. My only reason for not 5 stars is there seemed to be a lot of kids in the back (assuming the workers kids) just being pretty loud and at times you want to relax a bit getting your nails done. We decided to try this year old salon in Esco. Service was great. The lady that did my pedicure was gentle and did a awesome job overall. Price for the classic pedi though was steep for $36. For Escondido, that is a bit much. I can name several places in different nice areas in SD that offer less for a classic pedi. read more

That's the first thing I noticed. We came at the end of the day- we had reservations. They had classical music playing which made for a peaceful vibe. Ivy did my nail dip and she was- no lie- the BEST i have ever had. She was quiet, a perfectionist, and so fast!!! I loved how she made sure my nails were smooth and not too thick. 10/10. Everyone is super friendly and greet you when walking in. The vibe is definitely there! I always go to Amy the owner or Rachel! They never disappoint! I've had 2 occasions that I would like to point out. First one being I was double booked with Rachel one day and she wasn't able to accommodate. I'm finding someone to soak off the nails I just got and paid 200$ for a mani pedi and full set acrylic. She used different tips for my nails so some are straight and some are curved like the 90's nails. I asked for something very simple and the owner also was one of the girls who worked on me. It used to be my favorite nail salon and I have gone here for what I've asked before and received. In the photos you'll see the different tips and the first photo is what I asked for and that's my hand so I know it can be done it's not a hard Pinterest picture it's a see through color and she didn't even get the color right they're like white.
