They do a consistently great job at Sunflower Nails. I've been here many, many times over the years for different services with different nail techs and I've rarely been disappointed. I particularly like Tina - super friendly and meticulous with my nails. Very clean, easy to get in even on busy days, and fair prices. Today I paid $90 total (before tip) for a pedicure and a builder gel manicure with chrome. And I love them! Definitely recommend!

The lady who did my nails was very sweet but this is not what I asked for. I showed her the picture of how I wanted my nails and I emphasized I did not want thick french nail tips. But after correcting her she said she was unable to make them thinner. Kinda dissapointed to be honest

People were just chit chatting and my nail tech took her time. She put like 120% effort since there was no other customers. Great work! See my real photo of my real nails and not a fake mani photo. So I give Sunflower 3 stars since I think I just got lucky last time! I really liked my last powder mani and got many compliments. $50 dip powder and they charge $1 extra to pay with card. Cash tips only.

My nails were so damaged from previous acrylics. Tina was so gentle and attentive to my nails even with some wonky sizes from broken nail beds. Tina was so lovely and considerate, making sure I liked everything, on every step of the way. I definitely reccomend her services. Shop was very clean too

John was extremely patient and kind he moved fassst with so much purpose yet can bring your picture to life. This is my first time ever getting any design or different shape or even color - he came through and showed up because my nails are absolutely beautiful!! My daughter kept her nails simple but he made it elegant with some little gems and designs. Tina did my pedicure she was amazing very sweet and funny, she def took care of my feet. I got my basic white toes but she definitely did take care of my feet and they are so smooth and my toes look great. Our first time here and we will absolutely continue going back!! read more

I like the ladies and the atmosphere here. But I came in for a gel manicure and it didn't even last a full week without chipping. I was on vacation so not doing dishes or being rough on my nails. It is disappointing to spend so much for something that doesn't even last 7 days. I won't do another gel manicure here, I will continue to do a regular pedicure. read more

Went in to get a previous set removed and left with a splinter hemorrhage. The lady who did it filed my natural nails down way too much which is crazy because I'm sure she's been doing nails for many years to know better. There were multiple times where I had to pull my hand away quickly because it hurt really bad from filing down too hard. Now it will take me months for my natural nails to grow back strong and healthy. Not happy at all!!! You can see in the picture how red they are. read more

No complaints about the service but I will say that I find it annoying that 4 people walked in at 7:20 asking for services and a few of the nail techs were trying to tell the owner to say no and he clearly didn't care. They close at 8. I'm sure they wan to go home and as a customer I always check business hours so that I don't walk in right before closing. Honestly it really bothered me that he couldn't say no and take his employees into consideration over some money. read more

In a time when rising prices and rushed services are becoming the norm (like three-minute hand massages during a manicure), this place was a refreshing surprise. Been coming here for over 6 years and love them! Angela is the best! I have a hard time trusting people with my nails and with her I can just relax as I know she'll do an amazing job! They also have the best upgraded pedicure chairs with heat warmers which is another reason why I come here! They're always good about squeezing me in too, which I really appreciate as I work crazy hours and usually can't plan ahead I usually know I can go right there and then, which I always feel bad about but I call and they're always very accommodating read more

I came to Sunflower Nails & Spa for a manicure and pedicure and had such a great experience! Bea did my manicure and Tina did my pedicure--both were super sweet, professional, and really took their time to make sure everything looked perfect. My nails have never looked better! I gave them another try and am again disappointed. Got a dip manicure for myself and a gel manicure for my daughter. Hers started coming off in one week, mine had chips in less than 2 weeks, when expectation was at least 3-4 weeks. The staff are nice but the product isn't good enough. read more

I walked in and was taken care of right away. Angela was such a kind person who fixed up my cuticles and gave me a beautiful gel manicure. She took care of me after a painful experience at a different salon in San Marcos. My skin is very sensitive so Angela was very gentle and skilled. I will come again and bring my family! The day I went in for my service, the nail tech that was doing my nails, Rose, got into a verbal fight with another worker. She was screaming in the salon which caused my service to be pushed back by 30 minutes. She neglected me as a customer and I felt very uncomfortable with no apology from her. On top of that, I also noticed that they incorrectly charged my credit card which I had to dispute with my bank. I will NOT be going back there! Very unprofessional read more

My eyebrows are completely ruined. She overly thinned them, shortened them, they're different lengths from the center, reduced my arch, and have completely different angles. After crying most of yesterday because it's my face, I'm just livid every time I look in the mirror. I'm mostly angry at myself for letting her pressure me. I'm just hoping that they grow back nicely and not patchy so I can fix them. Now, I have to deal with months of the awkward growing out phase if they grow back properly with any luck.

The lady at the front desk didn't smile at ALL. I asked "are you guys still doing the free pedicure with a full set?" & says: "No." Most people who know how to work a customer service position might say something like "oh, we actually don't have that special anymore but we do have ______". But just plain out "No." ??? After we struggling with picking the service we wanted, she told us to have a seat... I was wondering if she wanted me to sit on the floor because there was no seating. If the customer service was better, if the front desk was more polite, I really wouldn't have minded a little wait time. But with the attitude I was given on a Saturday morning after having a yummy breakfast & my iced coffee, it was disappointing to be given this bad taste in my mouth. We left immediately because it didn't really seem like she cared to have our business anyway. I'll show you a photo of the Instagram page that still says "FREE REGULAR PEDICURE WITH FULLSET " that's on their instagram page. The front desk is lacking as much as the updates on their Instagram page apparently. Won't be coming here again, ever

I have always taken myself and my daughters to sunflowers nails... today they tried to tell me my daughter got gel toes, when i physically handed her regular nail polish. My nails weren't the same color that I chose.... when i took them I a couple of months ago, they made my stepdaughter bleed and left chipped French chip gel nails. They did nothing to rectify the situation. The first time, my stepdaughter didn't want me to go back and tell them. The woman who did her manicure obviously knew she made her bleed and left her with a chipped French tip. She didn't tell me until after we left. We live around the area, so we went there for convenience. No more. The manger scribbled a bunch of numbers on a piece of paper using a calculator to charge us and it made no sense. I had enough. I tried telling him she did not get gel nails and he didn't budge. They just want to get people in and out so fast and charge whatever they want. If you want better service and quality, go somewhere else. I would at least expect them to charge the right prices and be honest. Not even an offer to cancel the transaction and ring it up correctly. read more

OMG! I have been sooooo obsessed with my Nails for the past week. "Mike" did such a Magnificent job on my nails last week. I literately felt like a famous super star with people asking where I got my nails done, and wanting to take a picture of them. I was referred by a friend and had to go check it out myself. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by all the staff asking me if I would like a beverage before getting started. Talk about making you feel at home. The place is extremely clean the ambiance is amazing! I live in San Diego and it was so worth drive plus more. Prices do depend on how much detail you want, but trust me you get what you pay for, you wont be disappointed. This place a great way to spoil yourself and enjoy "You Time". I will definitely be coming back twice out of the month to spoil myself and having a 3 yr old and working full time. Its great just to get away and relax. She was very clear with what she was doing and I could actually understand her!!!! I can't tell you how many times I get frustrated at some nail salons because I can't understand what they're saying. I love Sunflower nails. I've been coming here for over 3 years now. Jon and "B" are my favorite. Definitely call ahead of time and paying cash is much easier. Every time I come they're always great. I normally get coffin pink to white ombré. They have different shades of pink , but I always get the "warm pink". They have another location in San Diego called sunflower nails plus and it's the same owners so the same great service like always. Definitely recommend! read more

So, I've got pretty long lashes on my own but at my last nail appointment, have I mentioned I'm slightly OCD about my hands and feet, I was talking to Hannah about her technique for lash extensions and possibly adding a half set for a little fullness. Now, I work as a make up artist and when lash extensions came out a few years ago I treated myself for my birthday and paid nearly $300 for a set. The glue seeped into my eyes, my eyes watered uncontrollably, half of the lashes fell out within a week, it was all bad. The woman who preformed the service kept poking me, it took forever, and the lashes were horribly uncomfortable. Also, she only used one length of, so the lashes towards the inner corners of my eyes looked freakishly long. I looked like a strange modern day version of Tammy Faye. Fast forward to my new wonderful amazing super lovely eyelash extensions by Hannah. At first I was thinking they were just thinking I was going to take these guys for a test drive but after Hannah talked me into a full set and after I've lived in them for a full week and had minimal fall out, I'm keeping them! Hannah has a very delicate touch, she's very quick, a full set was just shy of 50 minutes. I also liked how she layered the lashes at the lash line, this made them look very natural and they blend nicely with my own lashes. She prepped both eyes to ensure that glue didn't get into my eyes, and was super thorough, no seepage etc. lashes The lashes are great for everyday wear, I like that I can now skip wearing mascara if I want to, at first its kind of strange, especially as a makeup artist, my first inclination after finishing my make up is to top off my lashes with at least three coats of glossy mascara, but skip it if you want to keep the life of your new lashes longer! Hannah will also teach you lash after care. I can go to the gym, I can shower, I can be Super Woman and I don't have to worry about looking fabulous because I have lashes! And remember if you visit M-F you get a great discount! The lashes are already very reasonably priced but who doesn't love a little discount? Be sure to tell them Bianca and Tab sent you for a little extra LOVE(we're like regulars that have become the weird family you don't tell people about lol and we just want to see Hannah and Tom with lots of business!)!
