Great establishment and awesome service! The salon is very clean with convenient parking. Thank you, Rachel.. I absolutely love my light pink chrome nails with a little bling!
With a fun holiday approaching, why not have fun nails? I just paid my third visit to UCare Nails Bar and Tammy paid close attention to detail with cleaning, filing and completing a perfect gel manicure. My Easter nail colors were not the only things shining and looking bright. Tammy's warm personality and being an excellent conversationalist made the overall experience a ten out of ten. I am a happy customer who will return to this fine establishment. With an open space nails bar, extremely clean with nice artwork on the walls and most importantly sterilized equipment, I suggest you get your next nail services at this hot spot all while enjoying the massage chair and inviting cheer. Thank you Tammy and to her colleague who did a great job painting my six year old daughter's nails. You made our experience epic.
I have only been here twice but it has been great both times. They have availability and do a great job. I really like how great Tony did on my nails. I showed him a picture and he followed it exactly. Thao is great too. She is my friend's favorite and does an excellent job with designs. I think this is my new go to nail place from now on!
One of the worst nail care experiences I've had yet. I called in to make an appointment and the person over the phone was very nice. I picked this place because the reviews were relatively good and it's close to home. I needed to get my nails done last minute for my baby shower. Yes, I waited last minute but I just couldn't find the time earlier in the week to go. I called UCare to see if they could take me and I scheduled with them for an hour later appointment time. I arrived and waited 25 minutes for them to take me. They were busy which makes me think why would they schedule me for that time if they're busy. I just wanted a super basic regular pedicure and gel manicure, no designs, nothing fancy. They brought me back to the spa chair which I waited with no water in the tub for about another 10 minutes and then finally someone came around and started the water. I began soaking while I waited for the actual tech to do my pedicure about another 5 minutes. Pedicure started off ok. He did clip my skin on the sides which made my toe really sore for a couple days after but the paint job I don't have complaints. About 10 minutes into my pedicure a nail tech comes to do my gel manicure. I showed her the color on the chart I wanted. She asked me several times if I wanted to do a darker color before even going to grab the color because obviously she didn't like the color I chose because you have to do a few coats. I declined. I had my mind set on the color I picked. Manicure started out fine. Until it came time for her to paint and cure. Now to be honest I wasn't paying super close attention because I had my eyes closed during the foot massage trying to relax. So I didn't see her painting job. But after she finished oh my god was it bad.... I had already been there for so long! Waiting around, and then getting the actual service I just didn't have time to stick around and ask them to fix it. So I paid and left. The lady who took my payment didn't ask how my service was at all. It killed me to pay for something I was so unsatisfied with but I just couldn't spend another minute there. I needed to get on with my day. I had my baby shower in a couple hours that I still had to go get ready for. I told myself I would go back that next day or sometime that week to show them how bad it was but I never did. At 38 weeks pregnant I just don't have the patience to sit there knowing it'll probably come out crappy again. So after 1 week of my nails I went to another salon to get a new gel manicure. What was wrong with the paint job at UCare? The paint leading up to the cuticles was not uniform and it was all over the place. It was lumpy and not smooth. The edges were rough. She painted on the edges of my nail bed so the paint seeped into the side of my nails. Oh and worst part was couple of the nails were still wet under a couple coats! She didn't even cure it all the way and you know gel doesn't ever dry unless cured so those nails just completely peeled away on the same day! They were wet and sticky underneath. Overall terrible. Will never return.
I called this nail salon around 3:45pm and the woman who answered was very accommodating about fitting me in as a walk-in. I was supposed to arrive at 4pm but ended up getting there 10 mins later than initially expected. I was promptly greeted and asked what service(s) I was hoping to have done. I let them know I wanted a full set of acrylics, as well as a pedicure. I could see that every seat was full and so it was no shocker that I was given a projected 15 minute wait time. I want to add that I really appreciated that there was no snarky vibe, despite the fact that I came in late on a busy Sunday afternoon. I didn't mind waiting since I really needed to get my nails in better shape and I actually had the extra funds to do so. Basically I really wanted to treat myself and also get a little confidence booster since I live on a pretty tight budget that no longer includes luxury self-care services, like it once did! I looked over the selection of (mostly OPI) colors and also checked out the prices for services, that were posted visibly on the wall. There were a few things that I noticed about their services and pricing, that I wasn't super stoked that there were certain things not listed on the menu. For example they did not list the price for a basic mani-pedi. The cheapest pedicure was $28, which is pretty fricken expensive considering all it includes is foot soak and lotion massage. Even callus remover is $7 extra, when the standard is $5. I posted the prices in images. The nail technician who finally worked on my acrylics was a woman named Thao. I would not and cannot recommend her especially not for acrylics. She seemed very limited in her ability to do different types of nails but instead of admitting this she would sternly shoot down my inquiries saying things like "dip is a waste of money " or "we don't have that color. Let's try this one instead". Being that I already knew I was going to be dropping almost 100 bucks between my hands and my feet I started to get pretty angry having this girl doing my nails. The woman who did my pedicure was fantastic and sweet her name was Leanne. I must add that unfortunately BOTH the ladies doing my nails started to do that very rude thing which is continue to talk in Vietnamese, the entire time that they were interacting with me. The only communication I got from the lady doing my pedicure was she did **kindof** initially introduce herself but after that it was like talking to a wall. In the end though I decided to tip her five dollars while I tipped the other lady three dollars in ones simply bc there was a huge difference in the quality of their services. I won't be coming back here because of the huge discrepancy I experienced, with regard to services rendered and just an overall lack of common courtesy when it comes to how a business should treat its customers. My pedicure + acrylics came out to: $81 total. The acrylics were done in gel but I would have paid more for dip or cool patterns. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend but if you do come here Id make sure to read thru recommendations given thru other, more POSITIVE Yelp reviews and only come in if you can book w/ other people. Best of luck to you
Loved the service and my nails! Came in after work on a Wednesday, and they were quick to seat me. I got a gel mani and pedi. They have a very a large selection of gel polishes. I couldn't decide between the jelly and milky colors. They did a wonderful job on my hands and feet. The pedicure was absolutely divine, loved the massage! My feet feel super soft. Will def be back.
I can't stop admiring the amazing job Rachel did on my nails! The design-- love. The shape, gorg. So far nothing but a great experience with all the technicians I've ever had at UCare, and that keeps me coming back. Oh and get the UCare Pedi, you won't be disappointed
Nicki and Hannah did my mani/pedi and they did such a fantastic job. They were both very polite and calm, they have all around good energy in this salon. It was very relaxing. So glad I discovered them today. Will most definitely come back. Thank u ladies!
With so many nail salon options it's hard to really pick one that deserves your consistent business, well if you are an Escondidian let me help you land on one... UCare. No matter if I call ahead for an appointment or need to come in last minute they always accommodate me. This time I did not call ahead for an appointment and on a Saturday I'd expected a wait. However, I was welcomed right in and that's when the joy began and when I say JOY I really mean this was one of my all time top 3 pedicures I've ever had. Luna was friendly, helpful and simply amazing. If I could give her 10 stars I would. She had the most amazing massage techniques that put me in and out of a sleep. Also my toes look fantastic. She helped me decide on the fun, bright color, which is so fun. Highly recommend. :)
Great customer service and good at what they do. Mine and my daughters nails came out GREAT, which I typically don't expect for my daughter due to her have teeny tiny nail beds. Not to mentions she gets a little carried away with the nail art/designs But these ladies were up for the task and NAILED it (pun intended ) Another fantastic part of our visit was that my 10 minute massage surprisingly and much to my satisfaction, lasted well over 20 minutes. My daughters nails were still being worked on and there was no other customers waiting so she just kept on goin, that's what I call good customer service! We will definitely be back, this will be our new go to.

My first time getting a pedicure with my family. The experience was wonderful and very relaxing to have your feet in warm water and the manicurists doting on you. They were very friendly and helpful and accommodating, we (4) walked in and efficiently they were able to provide wonderful care. I definitely going back again. Time to do self care!!! read more

I live in Carlsbad but whenever I'm in the area I'm always sure to get my nails done here. This place is by far the best nail salon I've been to in north county San Diego. First time trying them out! Got a mani and pedi, I did notice that the nail tech for my toes might be new, so there was a little mishap, but another staff noticed it and fixed it right away! (they were observant) a bonus! Since they know how to take care of their customers. Mimi was my nail tech and she did what I exactly wanted! Overall my experience was good. Staff were friendly and attentive. I like how they catered me for what I wanted for the color. (I'm picky with my neutral colors) also the place was clean and it was easy to make an appointment :) read more

I've heard about a lot of great reviews coming from the shop I was excited to experience the same. I got a man who was about mid 40s I know that there is another man that's older who gets better reviews but I did not get him. The man I got kept pressuring me to get all kinds of things it was getting uncomfortable for me to say no and when I did say no you could tell he was Agitated. He didn't file my nails into any shape and she did not do the manager part of cleaning up my cuticles he literally got right into Dehydrating the nail and applying the primer he definitely affected my experience there I hope it was just a bad day for him read more

Always come here . And this time the guy that did my nails tried to charge me extra 5 dollars . My nails are almond Shaped . When he had asked me if the shape was OK he only did my pinky nail and I said yeah it looks fine and then when he finished that hand ,he showed me again and I said a little bit sharper, I noticed it bothered him and said " I just asked you ,Now I have to do the whole hand again" (I had a What the heck face) I told him it's OK I'm paying for this. So what he tried to do next was shake me down for an extra 5 dollars because all of a sudden my nail shape changed to "pointy" and that's Extra. Disappointed in the nail Technician. Disappointed Rachel wasnt there, she usually does them and doesn't make me feel like an inconvenience. read more

Drove 45 mins to this salon because no where around where I am currently staying does the dipping powder. I had gel on my nails and they were splitting otherwise I would have waited until I got back home. I had them done Tuesday night and by Thursday morning they were starting to peel off, terrible job. This should not be happening! My gf got just a regular manicure and polish and the polish job was terrible, polish was too thick and it left a lot of lumps, she mentioned this and they pretty much dismissed her concerns. Definitely not worth the drive or the money. read more

Went in for a last minute manicure, ended up getting acrylics because he said the look I wanted couldn't be done without them. Showed him a picture of what I wanted and he didn't give me that. He didn't explain why he just said the double French tip couldn't be done. The nails I wanted were almond shaped and he kept making them claw like. One is completely lopsided. I kept having to ask him to file them. Once the filing was done he started the French tip and I couldn't initially tell how extremely thick he made the tips. They were not what I asked for and not worth $63. *Was not able to get the name of the nail tech but it was a male on the 4th booth* Not to mention, He followed me to pay. Once the cashier handed me my card and my receipt to sign he checked to see if I left him a tip. read more
Stopped by today for a quick pedicure. The place is super clean and very inviting! I also loved that they use the plastic to wrap the bowls.. feels cleaner! I had an ingrown toenail and age was able to fix it.. I was so thankful! I loved the hot stones during the massage... felt so great! They did a scrub also.. nice touch. Great paint job and the massage chair was nice too... not too tough like many at other salons! $35 so a decent price... not the cheapest but a great deal for all the extras they offered. Cute decor also! I would go back again! read more
