I always have a great experience at Westie. I get the regular mani and pedi. Calling ahead makes it easy so there's no wait. Quality service at great prices! read more

I had the best experience with Lily. She was awesome! I got a pedi and she took her time. I was so relaxed. Definitely recommend the Westie pedi package. I picked a really bright color for the summer and it came out cute! read more

Girl, please ask for your receipt I was charged way more than I expected and had to question the price. Definitely double check your charges before you leave because something was NOT adding up. read more

I always have some level of difficulty communicating with manicurists, but this time went quite well. You have to be clear when making your appointment, that you want someone who speaks decent English. Each gal I've had has done a little different job on my toenails, some better than others. The shop is clean and bright and the staff is nice. It is very convenient for me, the prices are fair, so I will continue going there. read more

This is absolutely the nicest most amazing nail salon I have found. And lovely Mai is the Best. She does a wonderful job and anything I want her to do she is perfection ! The atmosphere is lovely and so very clean. A great place and I highly recommend this nail salon ! The staff is so friendly and they always make sure you are comfortable and offer water without asking which is appreciated I love this place. Sandra. read more

I decided to give this place another chance. This time I got a "fill" for my gel x nails. In a couple of weeks 1 nail lifted. Less than 3 weeks another 1 lifted and fell off. I wouldn't suggest getting a"fill" here unless you don't mind missing nails and then being charged to have them removed. read more

Response to the salon! - Interesting. If I had knowingly agreed to a $15 upgrade, why would I have written an entire review saying I was shocked by the price? I specifically chose the cheapest option on your menu because that's all I wanted. At no point was I told gel polish would be an additional $15, nor was I informed that my total had changed from $31 to $46 before my card was charged. Thank you for proving exactly why I left this review. Rather than acknowledging my experience, you've chosen to post a version of events that conveniently places all the responsibility on the customer. If your communication was as clear as you claim, there wouldn't have been a misunderstanding in the first place. Transparency happens before the payment is processed--not after a negative review is posted. Hopefully future customers are clearly informed of any additional charges before they agree to a service. ------------------ ORIGINAL REVIEW: I would give this place a no star if I could. Highly NOT recommend this place. I went in a couple of weeks ago and got a gel pedicure. Lady hands me a "menu" I picked the cheapest option since that's what I wanted and it was priced at $31. The lady finishes a job that is whatever and not perfect or clean. Then I go to pay and the lady charges me and I even give a $10 tip! Got home and saw I was charged $46 before tip!!! Without telling me or without my knowledge! I wonder how many ppl they do that too. They sent me a review link and I left this same review and it was never published. It was my third time at this place and my last. I decided to give it a third chance and I was wrong. Vibes are so off. Not a nice staff or interested unless asking for money. Very pushy and very unprofessional. Do yourself a service and go somewhere else! read more

Came upon this place from my tattoo artist, Nam Holly did an amazing job- she took her time and was very attentive to details. I came in for a gel x fill and the part that I hate most is the electric shaving, but Holly did an excellent job and I never once flinched or felt too much heat. Thank you for such beautiful nails, Holly! All of the staff were extremely kind and friendly. Highly recommend this place! read more

Absolutely love the staff and that they are open on Sundays. Love the stamp system and the different pedicure options. The fact that they don't use a rasp to de callus the bottom of my feet but the yellow rigid sponge which is bomb. Clean space to enjoy pamper time! read more

Westie Nails is no joke the BEST nail place I have ever been to in my life! I live down in the Spring Valley area. However when I am in Escondido dogsitting for my Aunt I always make it a point to come here! They treat you like a Princess from the second you enter the door! The owner is on it and makes sure that everyone is comfortable. They hand you books to choose your color and ask if you want coffee, water, tea or anything else. They even remembered me from months ago! The only place to ever do my cuticles right and cut my toes right. I will never stop raving about Westie Nails and I really wish I lived closer. Also the tv shows are a plus as a dog person my guilty pleasure is watching Lucky Dog while I get pampered! Everyone here is so friendly and the atmosphere lifts me up every time I come here! Props to the owner & everyone involved in this business, you are doing amazing!! read more

I came here because of the reviews on Google and on yelp. I really needed a pedicure and a manicure, I came in at around 5 PM and was sat down immediately. The Pedicure was OK. I got my manicure done by a different lady. I didn't get her name but it seemed like she may be the owner. She was a short older lady.. The manicure was extremely rushed. It was 6:20 and they proceeded to take in more clients when there was other girls waiting for a pedicure... while doing my manicure, since she was rushing, She accidentally put gel on my arm and I asked her to clean it before putting it into the UV light she said after. Point is she BUFFED my arm to remove the gel when she could've just wiped it off when I first asked. The hand massage was literally less than a minute. I understand that they want to make money and get people in but you're also losing clients when things like this happen.. First and last time I come here. read more

Wonderful experience as a first time customer at Westie :) the nail technicians were all so sweet and attentive. I got a gel manicure & pedicure, loved it! I'm usually very particular with my manicures and end up disappointed in the outcome, but Tiffany was amazing. She nailed the design, and Ivy did a beautiful pedicure to compliment my new nails. Can't recommend this salon enough, I'll definitely be back. Thank you Tiffany, Ivy & Nina!! read more

I've been going to Westie since they opened a year ago, and the service has consistently been excellent. They pay close attention to detail, deliver great results, communicate clearly, and treat guests with genuine respect. I especially appreciate that appointments never feel rushed, even when other clients are waiting. There are plenty of nail salons in the neighborhood, but Westie stands out as a higher-end option with competitive pricing. It's also encouraging to see that they've built a loyal client base. While walk-ins are welcome, I'd recommend making an appointment if you prefer not to wait. A great place run by good people--professional, thoughtful, and consistently top-notch. Today I had a pedicure. I was very happy with the results and also enjoyed the foot massage. read more

"Q" is AWEsome! Knows what he's doing, keeps great time, great convo (say whaaaaaa?), and my nails look perfect every time. Has a nice touch and is conscious about GENTLY twisting arthritic fingers that don't move or bend that way without pain. They are technology-current which enables seamless pay and tipping, OUTSTANDING COMMS & attitude, and just an overall current feel. Huge TV playing something almost anyone can enjoy. Stopped into Westie Nails today with my daughter as our regular salon was booked. I was so impressed at the level of customer service and quality of work. We both got fills and spa pedicures. The pedicure was very thorough and the technicians asked pertinent questions to make sure it was exactly how we wanted. Q and Mai did our nails and they recommended things that our regular salon never mentioned. They also have great personalities! Overall, the service was the best we've received in a very long time. We will definitely be back!! read more

First time stopping by today. Really great customer service. Nice pedicure. Good price. Will be back.

I was very excited to find this business last Monday. The ladies were super nice when I went in. Customer service wise they were great! However, the next day my nails started chipping and my pinky nail chipped and was so thin and weak I had to cut it off. I wrote a review because I was so disappointed a day after a manicure to have this happening. I felt I wasted $100 plus tip to have my nails done only to have them start to look terrible the next day. That doesn't even happen after 2 weeks for me with most gel manicures. The owner called me to apologize and offered to fix it. Although unhappy, I know things happen and I agreed to give a second chance to the business but I work 6 days a week and said I could not get in until this coming Monday. I pulled down my review BUT then I got so upset after I realized that my nails had scratches all over them and when the gel continued chipping off all my nails, my nails were thin and weak underneath. I realized this was because the lady that was trying to help out the manicurist was filing off my old gel polish with a coarse file instead of soaking and using the drill and she scratched the heck out of my nails causing huge, deep scratches. She destroyed my natural nails that took me months to grow out. :( Not only will I not be giving this place a second chance but I was so upset that I had to cut my nails off due to them being weak, scratched and destroyed. My once beautiful nails look so bad now. I am super sad this happened. Hopefully, this business will be more conscious of the way they do things moving forward so that others do not have a bad experience as I have. read more

Mixed review to give. I love the upgrades in the salon--great massage chairs, drinks offered, etc. and my manicures (I've had two there done by an exceptional male manicurist) have been gorgeous and lasted weeks without even a single chip. Unfortunately, I believe there is an overzealous female pedicurist. Similar to another reviewer, my cuticle was cut so far back on my toe, it was painful and bleeding. Sure enough, my toe got infected within a couple days (the first time in my life this has happened). I couldn't wear close-toed shoes for three weeks, had to go to the Dr, take antibiotics, and soak my foot 4x per day. As of today, it is finally healed. I will be back, but will request a different pedicurist. read more
