update: the owner reached out to me right away, was very kind, and redid the pedicure. also the nail tech who who did a great job is named mia, so ask for her! inconsistent quality. i tried this place on a whim last month, and got the best pedicure i've ever had. this time i came back, and got a bad one. the shaping is really off, and there's polish all over my skin. i'm probably going to go back one more time and see if i can get the name of the worker who did the first set and just make appointments with her- if i do, i'll add her name to this review to recommend her. read more

Serenity Happy Nails - Regular Serenity Spa Pedicure - Nail Salons Near Me - Escondido, California

If I had read the reviews on Serenity Happy Nails I would not have subjected myself to the horrendous treatment. Up front I am warning any potential clients of this nail shop. During my manicure the technician cut my cuticle so deeply that it immediately started to bleed (because he was on his phone watching the World Cup). What should of been a routine appointment turned into a indescribable medical issue. Over the next several days, my finger became swollen, infected and began draining pus. I had to seek treatment at urgent care clinic, where I was prescribed both oral antibiotics and topical antibiotic to treat the infection. I brought this matter to the attention of the salon's manager, hoping they would show concern, take responsibility, and address the situation professionally. Unfortunately, the response I received was dismissive and inappropriate. There was little empathy or accountability for an injury that required medical attention due to negligence. Sanitation, proper technique, and customer safety should always be a priority at any nail salon. My experience left me with pain, inconvenience, medical expenses, and disappointment in how the situation was handled. The injury keeps reappearing even after taking oral and topical antibiotics together. I am strongly encouraging others to carefully consider this experience and the others that were written when considering where to have your nails done. For some reason these shops feel like an apology, accountability or compensation for their error is beneath them and it has to stop! read more

Honestly had such a bad experience, first of all they were extremely rude when I came in I showed them what I wanted they said they could do it. They do the acrylic and are about to start gems and tell me they dont have the necessary gems. So I'm forced to do something completely different. Why say you can do something if you cant . I would have picked simpler nails. They didn't put oil on the cuticles didn't clean the cuticles up or anything . Got my pedicure they didn't even rub my feet. Very disappointed and terrible service . I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! read more

My favorite nail place! Mimi is the best - I always request her for pedicures. She digs in deep and shapes my toes so nicely! The music is calming and the cooking shows are always interesting to watch. I appreciate that when I have an appointment they honor it and get me seated right away. Saying all this I pray they don't change ownership or degrade. Please keep up the current excellent service and always strive to get better! read more

I love this nail salon! Very friendly staff, always an amazing full set and pedicures.

My nails were cute but one of the toes had the nail polish come completely off after like 3 days. I went back and got it fixed but two more nails on the same foot came completely off a few days later. Didn't even last 2 weeks and I paid $60. They aren't prepping the nail right read more

This place deserves a zero! Horrible customer service especially from the owner Chloe, she is extremely unhappy and treats her customers with such poor service. Not only does she treat her customers poorly but also her treats her nail technicians poorly. Shame on her!! Besides horrible customer service, they are scammers, everyone gives you a different prices and all try to force extra and gel services, and when you decline the additional markups, your automatically treated differently. The owner is so bizarre, she sent me two text messages at 10:00 at night. She even went out her way to send me another message from another phone, the most bizarre and juvenile behavior. Read the message for yourself and you'll see exactly what I'm referring to.the up most level of Unprofessionalism!! read more

Mia was great and so kind and patient. I love how my nails came out! I will definitely be back. There was an exercise class next door blasting dance music. Very friendly and they do a great job. I have a pretty standard set of nails. I get acrylics and either French tip nails or all one color. I don't do long or almond shape. Either way they are walkways busy so call ahead. It's calm and quiet inside. read more

These are just 2 of the many sets I've had done at Serenity Happy Nails. Even though both were appointment made, they offer walk ins right away! Both sets done were inspired pictures and were done the EXACT same way!!! They listened to the way I wanted my length and style and that my nails beds are a little sensitive. They made sure to take their time when doing my nails and designs. The atmosphere was very calming, nice temperature in the salon, soothing music and an overall nice vibe with amazing staff. read more

My experience was good here... for the most part. The ladies that did my pedicure and manicure were beyond amazing, caring, and they truly did a beautiful job. Their space is very clean and modern which provides a cool atmosphere. It was until the very end, when it was time to pay, that you they missed out on perfect rating. I headed to the front to pay and this lady, didn't see her name nor did I ask, stands up from her desk while doing someone else's nails, and she asked if I was paying with card. She was one of the youngest workers and that spoke the most English. I asked if they took Apple Pay and she said yes. I walk over where she was and here is what's wrong with their card payment method: the screen is hidden from you. You cannot see what they're charging nor can you add a tip by yourself prior to printing the receipt. She also just snatched the phone from my hand? Which is not only rude, you need face recognition to authorize the payment. So I said, "uh, I need to do my face..." and she slightly turned around and rolled her eyes while I finished the sentence. The male coworker giggled in the back. So she takes my phone again. Finishes paying. And has me sign. That is truly unnecessary. If they followed their system best practices like placing the screen towards the client, and authorize their payment without them snatching your phone... maybe that would make the experience 100% perfect. Please also be kind to people. Rolling your eyes and giggling about such a nasty move is not very professional. read more

They cut me a few times and it's overpriced. The environment wasn't very professional and the place overall wasn't very organized and messy.

On 11/10/24 at around 1 p.m., I came in as a walk-in for a gel pedicure. I was pleased to be taken in right away, as this was my second visit, and I expected to have another positive experience. Unfortunately, things didn't go as I'd hoped. While the technician was cleaning my cuticles, I noticed she was cutting and pushing back aggressively, causing significant pain. She even made my left toenail bleed. I did not have any ingrown nails or issues with my feet before this appointment, and even if I had, addressing such issues is beyond what a nail salon should handle. Both of my big toes felt raw and looked pink when I left. Today, I noticed soreness in my left big toe, and when I checked, it was swollen and had I saw pus, which indicates a bacterial infection (paronychia) likely caused by excessive clipping. I have photos showing how much was cut if the owner would like to see them. I didn't speak up at the time due to anxiety, which may be my fault, but I urge you to be more cautious. Your role is to provide foot hygiene, nail health, exfoliation, moisturization, stress relief, aesthetic enhancement, and preventive care--not to create foot issues. read more

I made an appointment. I had to wait a couple of minutes. My nail tech cut me and then super glued the cut. He kept filing that nail, even though I asked him not to. I've never had to ask for a new nail color, but I had too. I wanted a baby pink and I got like a pastel orange and then the second time I got a bubblegum pink almost. the service took way longer than I expected. It took like two hours and 40 minutes for a medium set coffin French tip. I don't think I would go back especially for the price. I would much rather go to Lotus nails for a good French manicure and for a cheap pedicure, I would go to pretty nails on grand. read more

Well, I'm always getting addresses wrong but this time it was was a good thing. We ended up being walk-ins at this salon. I'm going out now to show off my fancy fingers. Thank you for a very efficient service. read more

I never care enough to give reviews on Yelp but I came to this salon yesterday for a last minute mani & pedi! My mani was rushed and done so poorly. My gel pedi gave me an infection on my big toe! The lady said I had an ingrown nail and she was digging into my big toe so much to the point it hurt and I bled! Today my big toe is inflamed and hurts so much (I didn't have an ingrown nail or any pain prior to coming here) it sucks cause I spent $80 for a terrible job and infected toe nail. read more

Got my nails done here not even a week ago and my nails are already breaking. I got my nails done about 5 days ago, yesterday my thumbnail broke(which I had a feeling was going to happen by how the lady who did my nails put my tips on.) I went into the salon to show them and they booked me to get my one nail redone for several hours later. When it was finally time for me to get my nail fixed, a gentleman fixed my thumbnail. I asked him why my nail broke,(although I already knew why, I just wanted to see what he would say,) and he said it was because of me touching stuff and breaking my nails. Mind you, when I get fake nails my nails always last at least a good 2 weeks. I even told him I had just gotten my nails done which he remembered but still insisted it was because of me. Today, two more nails broke as you can see in the picture. Needless to say, I won't be coming back... read more

I found my forever nail salon! Actually I went somewhere else first, where I've gone before. They were too busy so I found this place on the drive home. Thought I'd stop in to see if there was availability. The lady who approached me when I walked in was very nice. Talked to me about what I want and said they could do it. My wait was about 20 min. Totally fine for no appt! Kathy did my nails. I do the SNS and I love that she does the powder all the way to the end. I've left places before looking like I need a fill. She did great! Tom came and drew the design I wanted. My "summer nails" are out of my comfort zone but I'm so in love! I seriously cannot stop looking at them! I'm usually very plain jane. Already getting compliments! Compliments=Referrals for them! read more

Love this place! Talk to Tom or Chloe and let them know what you're looking for specifically and they will book you either the appropriate person for your needs. I like an excellent callous remover service with my pedicure while my husband prefers the massage. We each are booked with the person who specialized in our specific needs. You can call or once you're in you can text to book or reschedule. The chairs are comfortable and they took all the necessary safety measures during covid. It's nice and clean and I see them cleaning the bowls between each use. The technicians always focus on you and what they are doing. They keep their chatter with coworkers to a minimum and that's usually when they are asking or answering a question. They will talk with you but I prefer to zone out and just relax and they are fine with letting me be silent. Excellent customer service, my toes look great at all times thanks to them! 10/10 would recommend. read more

I am so sorry I even have this place a try. No greeting when you first walk in so you just stand there awkwardly. I asked how long was the wait, lady said 5-10 min. I waited 45 min. Been my go to place for pedicure... Mia thank you, for excellent service! I'm Happy as always. :)

Worst nail painting ever!!!! I went in Sunday morning for gel polish very simple you would think well every one of my nails has little bubbles in it and dents. Worst nail polish I've ever had very disappointed!!! Avoid this place at all costs Update: Read rude comment from owner below instead of trying to make things better, she goes off on me let me now add to my review in addition very bad customer service. How I'm I to blame for the bubbling underneath the polish ? I've never have had that happen before your tech must have not know what she was doing. This picture is from today you clearly see the bubbles not from having oil on them! I can come in and show you in person if you would like read more
