Best English breakfast I have had since actually being in England. To food is absolutely delicious. Bonus. The portions are large which means, leftovers! The hospitality is incredible. I have never had nicer waitresses. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so give yourself some time to wait because if they are busy you will have to wait but I assure you. It's worth it. read more

Annies Cafe!! Super cute vintage style cafe with an English flare! The waitress are dressed super cute! There menu is incredible! Grilled cheese rocks with 3 cheeses! Root Beer is the old fashion flavor! During our lunch the waitress announced to everyone that it was my husband's and mine's first time there it was so surprising and fun! Later on while we were eating the waitress did a little dance to the music! Annie's is a great place for breakfast and lunch! Very entertaining also! Great atmosphere and wait time was not that long! read more

This was our first time here and we had the worst experience in our life. Not even an understatement, sarcasm or exaggeration. I love breakfast and it's very hard for me to complain , so doing this isn't easy! First, we weren't even welcomed that my 8 year old even noticed. Our server Mimi was nice, but wasn't checking on us and informing us that our food was going to take longer than usual. There were 4 other parties that got their food before us when they arrived after. We ordered 2 orders of crepes and a Rib-eye steak only for them to say that the crepes were taking long! I was told by Emily, not knowing she is the general manager that they were making the crepe batter fresh. To our surprise, they were not fresh! They were slightly warm, my entire plate was not warm. At this point I was very upset and didn't take not 1 bit. My kids said their crepes were cold and we just got up and left with my 3 kids. I called to speak to the manager or get a phone number only to my surprise it was Emily. She is very unprofessional with poor customer service, was very short, and walked away. I cannot believe she is the general manager. This is poor management. She didn't offer to make our food hot or have it remade, absolutely nothing! read more

My friends and I love checking out new places. I can't believe I've missed coming to this place living relatively close. Well my friends and I decided to come here for brunch...not going to lie, knowing we may have to wear silly hats for being newcomers convinced us lol. Anyway .... I arrived and it was pretty packed. We waited for about 35 min and were finally sat. We ordered breakfast and some mimosa flights and everything didn't disappoint. Food was good, drinks were delicious. Orange juice was freshly squeezed and they weren't greedy with their OJ...a nice tall glass for me instead of a small non refillable glass like many breakfast and/or diners. The staff was extremely friendly and the place was fun. Lively music and the staff started dancing which was awesome and entertaining. The server asked the restaurant who were newcomers and we proudly raised our and hands like half the restaurant and like the child I am ..I asked for the little piece of crap emoji that I love and our server was the best and hunted it down....love it!! Lol The food didnt take too long given it was pretty packed but overall we definitely enjoyed it. We plan on going back for lunch as many of the menu items sounded delish. If you have some time to wait, definitely give this place a shot. Happy yelping mis amigos!! read more

History

Established in 2014.

Annie's Cafe was first opened back in 1989 in Lake Elsinore. For years the people of Temecula had been asking the British owners Kevin & Jan (aka Annie) to open a new Annie's Cafe in Temecula and in 2014 we opened our doors. If you come to visit us now you'll see a great team, trained the Annie's way and understanding the need to make every customer happy and content!

Meet the Business Owner: Brock D.

Hi everyone, my name is Brock Dowis. My wife Amanda and I have had the amazing opportunity to take over the Annie’s brand since Jan 2024. This happened with Annie’s blessing, and she has been amazing and supportive of us in this endeavor. She’s even been known to pop in from time to time. Amanda and I have been in restaurants for a combined 35 years. We came up at In N Out Burger. Where we started cleaning the floors, and ended up running some of the busiest locations in the company and learned a lot along the way. You can expect the same amazing Annie’s experience you are used to, dancing and all! Our only goals are to protect and grow the brand, take care of our amazing customers and staff, and make everything as clean and fresh as possible.

First impression, Not a good impression! This morning, my husband and I went to Annie's in Temecula. Wendy was our waitress. Wendy sat us in the very far, far back corner of the restaurant in a booth. While all the other patrons ( couples) were seated in the front of the restaurant to the left as you enter the restaurant. We saw patrons come and go. Not one other couple or individual was seated in the area where we sat. They were all seated up front. Hmmm! I counted 11 empty table plus the bar area that were empty. We could have sat at any of those table. "Wendy sat us in the back of the bus". When she brought us our coffee. She did not serve it to us. She sat the coffee on the table corner and said she would be back! She put her hands on the mouth of our mugs. (Gross!) Instead of using the mug, handle to serve us. She went and served some other patrons their beverages. I noticed she served them properly. No fingers touching the mouth of the drink-ware. She engaged and smile with the other patrons and coworkers. (at one point telling, coworkers she needed to leave at 2pm for a medical appointment, her statement was challenged by another coworker, saying it was a holiday, wasn't doctor offices closed) She didn't smile and barely made eye contact with us. Her head was down much of the time. 45 minutes later as we were finishing up. A group of 6-8 "senior ladies" were seated near us. Not as far back as we were. All this to say. Seating us in that location of the restaurant was intentional and prejudice by Wendy. She is bias to a certain group of people. We could feel it and saw i! Not a good representation of your establishment. We will not be returning to Annie's any time soon:( This review is looking pretty epic! Nice! read more

This is starting to become a regular thing! My daughter & I are beginning to have a tradition here Saturday mornings. Today, we thought there would be a wait, but Annie herself goes "no wait, common, let's seat you now!" Wow, like family! Did I mention they serve boysenberry syrup in their tri-syrup selection?! Oh & I just discovered that their OJ is fresh squeezed & AMAZING. Our server, "Shi" was super fast to greet us & get our order in. She also made some suggestions to improve our plates nutritional value Emily brought my additional to go order for another family member and she was so sweet and thoughtful asking exactly how & when to prepare the order. Literally everyone who works here... the cooks, the bud boys, the servers/hostesses... & the owner, Annie herself all work together to make sure everyone leaves happy. If you're lucky enough, you may also get the surprise of the servers turning up the music and dancing in the middle of your meal! This is a one of a kind hometown feel place that you just can't find much anymore. If you haven't been, give it a whirl & tip well! read more

Had a wonderful experience at Annie's Cafe in Temecula, been a customer of theirs for a good few years now. In those years I have never on any occasion been disappointed with the food I ordered, always served efficiently with a smile. The food is well prepared, with an appetizing appearance, and tastes as great as it looks. On this last trip to Annie's I ordered one of my favorites, fish-n-chips, it's the best this side of the pond (England) it melts in your mouth yummo!!!. If you ever want a great atmosphere, the most delicious food in town, with the really nice staff to serve you, put the pedal to the metal and head to Annie's...You will love it! It's brilliant! Food is great. But service is s*it. Waitress (blonde lady in her 40's) was clearly tweaked out and was all over the place, waited so long to be served, served the people who just got there first than us who was ready to order for 30-40mins. Her mind was going so fast that she even hit my baby in the head with something she was carrying no f*cking consideration on her surroundings because of the meth bowl she smoked before she clocked in. i left. i advise management to do a daily or atleast a weekly drug test on their employees. Such an inconvenience to customers like me who are not used to such indecency Such a nice place to eat but you guys hire people with a substance abuse problem. hopefully u guys fix this problem. read more

This may have been the best restaurant experience I've ever had. The waitress, Natalie, was incredibly sweet and attentive. Despite having many tables to manage, she skillfully attended to all of them with genuine care. The warm and friendly atmosphere made my mom and me feel truly special. We ordered the Hobo Skillet, French Toast, and Coffee, which arrived quickly and tasted AMAZING! While the British decor isn't my favorite, the positive vibes from everyone made it easy to overlook. Additionally, my Pedro Pascal bookmark fell out, and the waitress and I had a delightful conversation about the actor. It was a wonderful moment that added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. I loved every bit of it! read more

I took a seat at the circular bar near the kitchen area today. The quality of the food was commendable, and the coffee was exceptional. However, I observed some concerning practices regarding food handling. One of the servers dropped a sausage on the floor, picked it up, and disposed of it in the trash without washing her hands afterward. She then continued to handle plates from the service window. Additionally, I noticed another server with long nails applying whipped cream to a hot chocolate, with her nails making contact with the cream. While I wish I had not witnessed these issues, the overall food and service experience was quite satisfactory. My server was amazing by the way. read more

Excellent service and good food. Personally, I wouldn't drive out of my way for the food as I can find these same dishes anywhere; however, I would make the drive for the experience, service, and fun for first timers. There is singing and dancing from guests to owners, and on your first visit, they introduce you to the crowd while you wear one of their big silly hats. The food is not bad at all and pretty good portions for the price, but it is not remarkable either. Definitely better than a Denny's or IHOP but there are other diner/breakfast spots that just have that something-more quality. Either way, you can't go wrong with giving this place a try. read more

My experience at Annie's was very disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. After being seated, no one offered water or asked if we wanted drinks, while another table seated after us received immediate attention. It took a long time for our order to be taken, and eventually the supervisor had to step in. The food took quite a while to arrive, and no one checked on us during the meal for refills or even basic needs like napkins. Every guest should feel welcomed and valued, whether they are locals, regulars, or first-time visitors. Sadly, that was not our experience, and I would not return. read more

Will never set foot in this restaurant again. When the owner can be overheard by customers calling Gavin Newsom "Governor Gruesome" and soliciting signatures for her petition for his recall, it tells you Annie only cares about one kind of customer and one kind only. Shame on you Annie! Not all your patrons feel the same way about the protections being provided by state government designed to keep businesses like yours afloat and the rest of us safe. Makes you wonder what other guidelines you oppose? Perhaps the health violations found here on Yelp make perfect sense. read more

I visited Annies on Sunday before being picked up for a wine tour. The restaurant is right opposite my hotel, so I went across the street to grab a bite before the wine tour started. My girlfriend and I decided we should get our wine day started with some Mimosas... OMG these things are huge!!! It's like a bucket of Mimosa Lmao! Let's just say it was the perfect way to start off a wine tour. The servers were also dancing while we ate, it was the most amazing way to start a wine tour. I was in such a great mood when I left. Food was delicious, service was great. Loved it read more

Outstanding Breakfast and Service at Annie's Cafe My recent visit to Annie's Cafe in Temecula, CA, was nothing short of delightful! Our server, Wendy, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and always on point with coffee refills, which kept our morning bright and energized. The breakfast itself was amazing; every dish was cooked to perfection, flavorful, and left us wanting more. Because of the exceptional food and stellar service, we've decided to make Annie's Cafe our regular breakfast spot. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and welcoming atmosphere! read more

Honest Reviews with an Attitude gave Annie's a 1 star review in Aug 2017 and it's all a lie from a woman who scams local businesses. This woman goes around town and complains AFTER the jobs are completed or the food is served and THEN says she has a disability, or cancer, or is poor, or whatever in the hopes of getting a free ride or compensation for not writing a bad review. She is a scammer. Look at her site - nothing but negative reviews on all local business to either extort them or the ruin their reputation because she didn't get what she wanted. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. We frequent the lake Elsinore location all the time and have never had such terrible service like this. Our wait went from 15-20 to 30 then to 45 min. We were seated at a small table as a party of 7 while parties of 5 were seated at two separate big tables when they could've easily fit in just 1. Will not be coming back ever. Food was horrendous. My biscuit for the biscuit and gravy was hard as a rock, not burnt, hard as a rock! Couldn't even cut it with a knife. read more

I was not really looking to come to a restaurant like this, but when Fillippis across the street was horrible to me and a friend of mine who are Deaf and wanted pizza, we walked out and came here. The server saw we were crying and gave us a sympathetic look and my sister interpreted for us and actually looked at me and asked me "What would you like to eat?". She did not look at me like a freak who cannot order my own food and had to have my sister be asked what I want and I am not a she. read more

It was our first visit to this location. I found it to be even better other places. The service was great. Food was tasty! I appreciated all of the breakfast options and the allowance of substitutions. I ordered the shrimp omelet, and it was delicious! Country gravy smothered biscuits was all delicious. The staff was very pleasant. On top of a great meal came an amazing customer service experience. We will definitely be returning again and again until we've tried everything on the menu! read more

I come here all the time for breakfast. They have the standard usual breakfast options like anywhere else. I only get the winston english breakfast special because i think it is the best one they have. It is decent english breakfast. I would not recommend any omelets here because I tried a couple and i did not think they were delicious at all. Service is quick and food comes out decently fast. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area. cheers! read more

I normally don't do this but I've never been more offended in my life. I came here with a group of friends to eat. The dining experience was fine but once we were finished, we were sitting digesting and socializing and we were asked to leave. That we were taking up the table for too long. I have never had this happen to me in my life. I was so upset and shocked that I didn't know what to say. We will definitely not be coming back. read more

Absolutely loved my visit to Annie's Cafe in Temecula. The orange juice was crisp and incredibly fresh--exactly what you want to start your morning. I ordered the hobo skillet and it did not disappoint--packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The fruit salad was also a standout, super fresh and a great balance to the meal. Everything tasted high quality and made with care. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. read more

Back in the area for a family wedding so decided to go back here for breakfast. It was as amazing as last time! I have the french toast special with cream and jellie inside and fresh fruit, it was so good. I love the dancing that the staff do and especially loved it today when the boys got up and danced to gangnam style, so funny. If you are visiting the area, this restaurant is a must. read more

The s'mores latte was really good and loved the little marshmallows on top. I got the breakfast bowl with sausage and the gravy for it was really good! I just wish the hashbrowns were a little more crispy and not so soft. I loved the mixture of the bell-peppers and onions in it too. That def surprised me. I will be going back to try more breakfast items and coffee drinks.

We started out by ordering drinks. I ordered the La Raina which is my favorite drink! It's oh so yummy! My hubby ordered the El Jefe And the daughter ordered a Smokey passionfruit. All of them were very good. For the food, we started off with the taquitos, which were very good. My daughter ordered the chicken molè which she said was one of the best she's had. My hubby ordered the Chile Verde enchiladas. They were also very good. I ordered a fish taco and a Pozole taco. The posole taco was one of the most amazing tacos I've had and I will definitely be back for more! Later, it filled up quickly. I came for happy hour bc everything on that menu is cheap. 8$ for appetizers! I got a spacedust for only 5$ each. Draft beers was only 5$ and michiladas was 10$. Magaritas and slushies were also 10$. The quesibirria was what i was most interested in, but that fell flat for me. It was really oily, which i liked, but there was a lot to be desired. The consume had no flavor. I tasted only oil in the taco itself. I can honestly say the happy hour menu wasnt the slightest bit meager. In fact, you get 8 wings as you would on the regular menu, but it only comes in buffalo flavor. The most disappointing was the asada fries even if the portion can feed 3-4. The beef was so soft, it tasted boiled. The chicken taquitos had 0 flavor and i didn't even bother with ordering the potato ones. I was afraid that the potato ones would replicate the asada taquitos. I was so unsatisfied with every item on the happy hour menu, I ended up ordering from the regular menu expecting the taste and quality would be different, but much to my dismay, it also fell short. I got an enchilada de Cameron. From the tortilla to the shrimp was so pasty I can only have one bite. The sauce was interesting. It tasted like pasta sauce to me. Oddly enough, i did enjoy that part of the enchilada. The sauce was rich and creamy. What i also really like were the frijoles. That was packed with flavor and the texture was good. That was my favorite from kulturas today. I can forgive the food as it was so-so but at a good price point, but I cannot overlook the service. They gave me one plate for 2 people and when we asked for another plate, it did not arrive until 20m later and that's bc i had to ask for it a second time. The first thing I ordered were drinks! But that ALSO did not come out until 20m later. The waitress said something about it being not entered into the computer. To much of my dissatisfaction, I expressed how long it took to get my drinks so i requested my 2nd beer when i recieved the first in fear of me waiting another 20m. Sure enough, I got the 2nd one 30s later. The waitresses were nice, but waiting 20m for a plate and 20m for drinks when there was only 2 other tables is negligent. This waiting game really soured my experience. Nevertheless, I want to give this place a 2nd chance. I think its quite nice inside and i loved the Scarface murals! I also loved the latin music!

We visited on a Monday morning and were seated right away. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We tried several breakfast items, including pancakes, eggs and bacon, as well as a breakfast quesadilla. The portions were generous and the breakfast quesadilla was huge! The food overall was fine and everything was prepared as expected. The coffee was okay, but nothing particularly stood out to me. Our total was around $55 for three breakfast meals, which I felt was a little on the higher side for the overall experience. That said, the portions were generous, the service was friendly and attentive, and there was nothing wrong with our meal. Overall, VIP's Cafe is a casual neighborhood spot with a large menu and convenient location.
