Came up for Cortland's Parents Weekend and had an awesome time. The whole town was buzzing... great…read moreenergy everywhere, but still felt welcoming and easy to enjoy. It's one of those weekends where you get to step into your kid's world a bit and actually see why they love it here. Bars and restaurants were lively but manageable, people were friendly, and it had that perfect mix of college fun and family atmosphere. Well, it finally happened on a return trip from NC. Parked the RV and went in for a half rack of ribs (they were out of brisket) and slaw, baked beans, and german potato salad. Great meal with coca-cola and root beer. Saturday night music by a guy and a gal singing with a guitar, really nice ambiance, country setting and a cool evening night. There was a wedding group at the barn. Visited the barn the next morning and got an informative overview from the owner, Mary Beth, and a quick hello from her husband. It's all mid 60s vibe with Elvis's song playing. The waitress were very nice to us and suggested several options and we decided to go with the meat samplers. Should I say the top bbq ever??!! Brisket was so moist and tender. Smoked chicken wings are so yummy! Our family loved everything in that sampler and we ordered more brisket for the road!!!
