Honestly, this place is amazing for anyone who loves planes. These aren't your massive commercial planes, though... we're talking about the little private planes where only a handful of people, or sometimes just one person, can fit. Some friends and I came on a Sunday afternoon and waited about an hour to be seated, mostly because we were a table of 12. If you're a smaller party, you'll probably get seated much faster. This place was packed, so you can definitely tell they're popular. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, but with a group our size, we were happy with wherever had a table open first. And of course, you get to watch the little planes take off and land while you eat, which makes the whole experience pretty unique. If you're into aviation, this is definitely a fun spot. Now, let's talk about the food. We ordered quite a bit, but the things that stood out most were the nachos, Annia's Omelette ($20), and the Club Sandwich ($16). We split the nachos amongst 12 people and, needless to say, they were devoured pretty quickly. Another plate of chips would have been perfect because we ended up with plenty of leftover meat, guac, and salsa but nothing left to scoop it with. A minor nacho tragedy. The omelette came with your choice of potatoes, and we got the hash browns along with a small stack of pancakes. The hash browns were crunchy on top and soft inside, perfect with a slab of ketchup. The pancakes were on the thicker, fluffy side, so naturally I drowned them in syrup and immediately felt a little guilty about it. The club was also really good. Crispy bacon, lunch meat, lettuce, and all the essentials. The string fries that came with it were freshly fried and nice and crispy. Everything was a pretty generous portion, and we left very full but with absolutely no regrets. Great food, generous portions, and planes flying overhead. What more could you ask for? read more

Trying Anna's Kitchen for the first time because I grabbed brunch with my friend. This place is located inside the San Gabriel Airport. It's a casual diner ambiance. It is a bit loud because it stays packed. They offer table, booth, and outdoor seating. The service was fair. I felt it could've been a little better because our waitress only came to our table to check on us more and although my friend was getting his coffee refilled, they never asked if I wanted a refill on my water. My friend loves the Steak Picado con Huevos, substitute home fried potatoes for rice, beans, over medium eggs, and flour tortillas. He also added cheese on top of the potatoes. Since it was his favorite I opted for the same thing but with corn tortillas. The food was served hot but I was expecting it to have more flavor. The picado was ok. It was lacking spicy and was very tomato sauce forward. The meat was definitely tender and cooked to perfection. The beans were creamy but a little under seasoned. The potatoes is what lacked true flavor. They tasted like boiled red potatoes with no spice, no salt, no pepper, and there was barely any cheese on top of them. Over all it was a fair dish but it didn't scream out super amazing. Given the popularity of this place, I will be back to try it again. Came to Annia's Kitchen in El Monte for brunch with my friends and our kiddos on a beautiful Saturday morning, and I honestly don't know how I went this long without trying this place. This is definitely a hidden gem in the 626. Everything we ordered was a hit, but a few dishes really stood out. The chilaquiles with carne asada were one of my favorites. The carne asada added a nice savory flavor and made it a filling brunch dish. We also really enjoyed the carnitas with salsa verde. The carnitas were flavorful and paired perfectly with the salsa verde. The carne ranchero was another winner and something I would order again. What really makes Annia's Kitchen special, though, is the location and ambiance. Sitting outside on the patio while eating breakfast and watching small planes and private jets take off and land is such a cool experience. The kids especially enjoyed watching all the planes, which made this a great family-friendly brunch spot. On a beautiful Southern California morning, it's hard to beat this patio. Service was also amazing. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, and the staff did a great job taking care of our group. Going out to eat with a group of kids isn't always the easiest, so good service definitely makes a difference. Parking was super easy. There's a large free parking lot, so we didn't have to circle around looking for a spot, which is always a plus for a busy Saturday morning. Overall, Annia's Kitchen checks a lot of boxes: good food, great service, easy parking, family-friendly, and one of the more unique brunch settings in the 626. The airport view alone makes it worth checking out, but thankfully the food backs it up. Definitely coming back to explore more of the menu. I just wish I had discovered this place sooner! read more

Never knew about the cafe here until recently a friend invited me over. Very Tucked away but it takes up half the airport there. The staff is very friendly and on top of everything it is non stop movement in there. They have indoor seating right next to the lobby and patio seating by the runway and I recommend seating on the patio. You get to see pilots preparing for takeoff and landing it's definitely an experience. I ordered the chilaquiles and was asked if I wanted to add asada so of course I said yes. 4/7/26 So was first time to this place but came with all the family and enjoyed sitting outside watching the planes take off and land . It's right on the small El Monte Airport. I unfortunately didn't get waiter name but she was amazing and got everything we needed. It did take a little bit to get our food because it was actually quite busy. Nonetheless the food was good. We sat outside but keep in mind that the departing planes can be disruptive to conversation. Fortunately, it's not too often but be prepared. I ordered the Chorizo & Eggs. Very tasty indeed. This is a great little hole in the wall with good food, good service, and good atmosphere. The restaurant butts right up against the runway area, so it's nice to sit outside and see the planes coming and going. Pretty eclectic menu with breakfast, lunch and some dinner stuff, American and Mexican food. I've had a couple of different things each time I've gone. Everything has been good. Today I ordered the chicken Caesar salad wrap with onion rings. It was delicious. Huge too. The wrap itself was toasted and overflowing so much so, that each bite kept falling apart on me. Annia's Kitchen is such a delight! Especially if you have kids to entertain! I had no idea there was a brunch place located at the SGV airport, and now we've been multiple times. The kiddo loves watching the planes take off, and the food is solid. The brunch is a mix of american and mexican dishes, and service is always great. There's an outdoor patio, which is where I'd recommend sitting if you can. Surprisingly, the planes aren't very loud, so it isn't weird/disturbing to your meal either! On 4th Sundays of the month, the SGV airport also lets people go down to the tarmac to explore and see some of the planes (the outside of them). It's a neat thing to do, especially if you've just been curious to see! It's more of a quick walk around than anything, but adds to the fun of grabbing brunch here. read more

Located at the San Gabriel Valley Airport, a super cute little restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a nice menu with fair prices. Asked the waiter what was the favorites and one of them was chilaquiles, so I had to try since I saw a couple other recommends this spot for their chilaquiles. It comes with carne asada and you're able to switch the sides between rice, beans and potatoes (choose 2). I thought it was delicious! We came an hour before closing, and everyone was still super friendly and did not rush us at all. We will definitely be back to try other menu items and see the airplanes. The wait was not bad. 30 minute wait on a Sunday with a large party. They do not allow reservations on Sundays from what we were told. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It could've been way better mostly the service they weren't the best. The wait time to be seated was 30 minutes. The food was good it was hot when I got it everything was going good. Hands down, one of the best breakfasts I've ever had--and trust me, I take breakfast very seriously. So good that I'm inside their parking lot writing this review. First off, let's address the fact that this place is literally inside an airport. But once I got inside and found the patio, I realized I had unknowingly stumbled upon the best-kept secret in town. Sitting right on the tarmac, sipping coffee while watching planes take off? Absolutely unbeatable atmosphere. Now, onto the food. I ordered two eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and toast--classic, simple, but done to perfection. I'm ridiculously picky about my eggs (soft scrambled with cheddar, no exceptions), and they absolutely nailed it. Plus, they served it with a fresh salsa that I'm pretty sure was homemade, and it was next-level good. The hashbrowns? Crispy perfection outside, fluffy on the inside. The bacon? Delicious, though next time I'll ask for it a little crispier because that's just how I roll. It was unusually cold and windy, so my food started cooling off a little faster than I would have liked. Again, not their fault--blame Mother Nature. I knew it was time to pack it up when a rogue gust of wind literally snatched a perfectly crisp piece of hashbrown right off my fork and flung it to the ground. RIP, little buddy. Also, let's talk about the coffee. I don't normally drink more than one cup, but I had two because (1) it was actually really good, and (2) I was trying to warm up while my service dog and I braved the elements like some kind of breakfast-eating explorers. We came for breakfast and the chicken fried steak and eggs looked like a good way to start the day. I asked for the eggs over medium but they were overcooked all the way to over hard. Biscuits and gravy were interesting as the gravy was under seasoned and if you can believe this, had a small chunk of tasty roast beef hiding under the biscuit.
